This man has the most genuine and real car content on UA-cam. I quit watching Scotty Kilmer and other guys on here ever since I found this channel at around 300k. He deserves the 1million subscribers and I can’t wait to see him at 10 million one day. As AMD said in one of his previous videos on the shop tour “ I’ll never give up or stop doing what I love” so I expect he will be with us for a long time… excited to go to his shop today and have my car trusted in his hands. Hopefully he can find out what’s wrong with it.
I just don't care to listen to others that ramble on and repeat themselves to fill up the time clock with mostly useless information I can most likely find on my own in a fraction of the time it takes them 15 to 20+ minutes or more to put on a show for attention and clicks.

This channel has encouraged me to keep our highlander. It runs great and has been paid off for years. It’s a great vehicle even though it doesn’t have all the modern day gadgets and gizmos.
We have 5 in our fleet...1997 Camry with 42K...not a misprint...42,000 miles, 1998 Camry with 97K, 2001 Avalon with 156K, 2005 Sienna 101500K, 2010 Tundra with 265K.
I agree with you, "Do it right, do it once." My favorite saying that I tell my kids is "if you don't have time to do it right, when will you have time to do it over!"

Yes, more fixing content please, either in deep explanation or not I can learn a lot as a DYI-er. I think Toyota should pay you! I was not gonna get another Toyota after my 2016 Sienna making the steering clunking noise (you explained in other videos), took it in 4 times to finally get the van back with off center steering wheel. Water pump bearing died at 50k miles. However, after watching your videos, I know more about Toyota cars and have more confidence that I can maintain them properly on my own. Thank you and the team, including your family of course, keep up the good work!
I know exactly the one you're talking about. I couldn't trust neither them, nor Groove Toyota in Littleton. I have moved from that area now and have way better service for my 2017 Prius. I found all the Toyota dealerships in Colorado to be scammers. They tried charging me $50 to change my key fob battery. Where I live now it's $6 and they record all maintenance and never give unreaonsable recommendations. They are honest and always compliment the car when I bring it in.
I'm not a dyi. I take my 2013 Camry SE to the Toyota dealership for repairs, but knowing that if my car shakes I will know it is the motor mounts. This is a very good video. I learned a lot. Thanks
It's diy. Just because your car shakes doesn't mean it's motor mounts, that's not how it works. Dealerships are not as honest as they should be. I'd rather take my toyota to car care nut than any toyota dealer in the country.

As a child, my father relied on 1 mechanic "Ali" to repair his 1972 Chevy 2 wagon. My dad often took me with him to Ali's shop just to watch Ali work on my dad's car. My dad loved his Chevy 2 and trusted Ali who also had a passion for Chevy 2 and cars in general. This mechanic was honest and trustworthy. AMD reminds my of Ali and I wish more and more mechanics had the same passion as Ali and AMD have for vehicle repairs. The Toyota world is blessed to have AMD! I will like and watch as many repair video's as you will publish, AMD/Jose. I would however love to see an in depth video on how to replace the VVTi gear on a 3rd gen Toyota RAV4 if possible. Excited for the expansion of your shop. Most deserving of your Million subs, as your business grows it will continue to grow in popularity. I understand the job is very meticulous and time consuming, but at times showing us these videos gets us an understanding and education of the job to be done. My brother also owns a shop for over 45years and his priority like yours is do the job right the first time and being sincere in his work to the customer. He too is a highly rated shop here in Silicon Valley. He should be retiring soon and handing off to his chief mechanic. PLEASE, PLEASE continue doing repairs of Toyota and Lexus. It is wonderful to see your techniques and products! I loved how you make room to get things out easier, and tools you use, and even the per-stretched hose clamps that you just pull the pin off! There is another mechanic on you tube that has made a career buy talking through different repairs. I have Japanese and Lexus cars, and love to get confidence to see how they are put together. You need to build up your lung power. 5:08 When the motor mounts on my 01 e320 v6 mercedes started going out, I went on youtube to see how hard it was to replace them. The right one is easy. The left one is not and all the videos I saw they wanted to sell a special flat wrench to get the top bolt off from the front because of restricted access. I'm not buying that and I doubt any shops have one. Then I found another video and the guy took the exhaust pipe off and was able to get at it from the back with a regular wrench. When I took the car in I explained it to the mechanic and he did it that way. Only took a few minutes. Videos like this one with no special tools for sale to do a job are worth the time to watch. Hey AMD - I learn so much from watching your videos on the channel. You do a great job of explaining things and your patience is amazing. Would love to see some real-time repairs in your regular Shop, especially on 5th Gen RAV 4s. A great one would be the Coolant Bypass Valve Replacement; as so many people are struggling with that one failing prematurely. Putting more plastic parts in a Toyota just doesn’t jive with me. You could probably do a whole video on which models use the most plastic parts and their failure rates. Thanks and keep up the great work! God Bless you and your family.

To answer, I personally like the complete repair video because it is true to the video title. Your car reviews are also very good. For example Mrs. Care Care Nut and your new Lexus GX 460. After that video I took one for a test drive and it is the "truck" for me. I am waiting for a Lexus GX 460 to come back from a three year lease which looks nice and was cared for. I hope to own a 2022 or 2023 in the next 2-3 years. I am not interested in the Ultimate version with the air suspension so the other two variants will do just fine. I suspect that these beautiful V-8 versions will sell rather quickly.
Every 2AZ- Camry I've ever worked on has had leaking power steering return lines - seems to be common on Toyotas? I did it on a 2005 Pontiac Vibe, too. Not a bad repair though. Thanks for showing us all the steps on the motor mounts, very nicely done! The "emptiness" of the new studio makes the sound of the impact gun running a bit more vibrant due to the echo.

My dad has an older Camry he had engine mount replaced but did not use OEM. Bad idea car vibrating. I guess the rubber is different density on after market so advice is always use Toyota brand.
film real repairs at normal shop speed, bring us along for the journey! As mentioned in other comments I like that there is no music in the video and long introductions.

Back then when my 2011 Camry needed new struts, you suddenly uploaded the struts and shocks replacement guide and it helped me a lot. Today I found out my engine mounts are also in due for replacements, and I almost can't believe my eyes when I saw the notification of this new video! New subscriber. Found you while researching the 2002 LS430 with 169K and a timing service late last Summer I recommended to a close family friend (close enough I'm responsible for all the car care). Only big issues are an inop front passenger window, inop moon roof, floppy passenger mirror and a power steering leak. For the price they got it I don't mind the issues. You've already been helpful for me to diagnose and plan repairs. This video reminds me of working on my mom's 2007 Camry which is closing on 280K miles on its original 2.4L. God bless.
AMD is the man, but I want to note for anyone doing this, you don’t have to get the front bottom mount from underneath. I did this on my Avalon, and plucked it from the top by removing the battery, battery tray, and swiveling the mount bracket. It came right out no problem, but obviously had the engine raised during this portion. Did not disconnect radiator hoses or lines.

Love the great vids AMD. A trick to keeping parts of the car clean from dripping fluids is to put a sheet of aluminum foil on top of whatever the fluid will drip on. You can form the foil around that part of the car and it makes it faster and easier to clean up afterwards.

Back then when my 2011 Camry needed new struts, you suddenly uploaded the struts and shocks replacement guide and it helped me a lot. Today I found out my engine mounts are also in due for replacements, and I almost can't believe my eyes when I saw the notification of this new video! New subscriber. Found you while researching the 2002 LS430 with 169K and a timing service late last Summer I recommended to a close family friend (close enough I'm responsible for all the car care). Only big issues are an inop front passenger window, inop moon roof, floppy passenger mirror and a power steering leak. For the price they got it I don't mind the issues. You've already been helpful for me to diagnose and plan repairs.
This video reminds me of working on my mom's 2007 Camry which is closing on 280K miles on its original 2.4L.

Repair filming is a good idea
AMD is the man, but I want to note for anyone doing this, you don’t have to get the front bottom mount from underneath. I did this on my Avalon, and plucked it from the top by removing the battery, battery tray, and swiveling the mount bracket. It came right out no problem, but obviously had the engine raised during this portion. Did not disconnect radiator hoses or lines.

Love the great vids AMD. A trick to keeping parts of the car clean from dripping fluids is to put a sheet of aluminum foil on top of whatever the fluid will drip on. You can form the foil around that part of the car and it makes it faster and easier to clean up afterwards.
