I really hated how they made Barriss Offee down to Ahsoka size, though AOTC (or ROTS) literally showed her being the "same height as her Master, Luminara." I really loved how she got a Padawan of her own named Zonder after being knighted. And yet, Filoni threw that out and made her a Padawan who can last in a fight with Anakin, which makes no sense.
I actually really liked Barriss when I was much younger (before they changed her in TCW) I thought she was the prime example of a jedi apprentice who was driven by compassion which is why she specializes as a healer. Then they made her a traitor and stuff, it felt contrived even in the clone wars, and even back when I was a kid and was still on the clone wars bandwagon I question why they retconning her character in such a bad way.
The thing is about the padawan arc is that grievous actually feels like grievous. Not only does he actually destroy Kenobi’s fleet, but it’s the closet we possibly get to his legends counterpart. When he takes out the clones, he uses his feet (or his claws idk) effectively, a single lightsaber because he doesn’t need more, and doesn’t cower away; three things he doesn’t do in the rest of the show. He even uses the same move he did on Hypori on Ahsoka. Although he’s still pretty nerfed.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: TCW would have been so much better if Ahsoka was Plo Koon’s Padawan and Anakin was still a Padawan just like the original clone wars timeline.

In AOTC, Anakin escorting Padme to Naboo is implied if not outright stated to be his first solo mission as a Padawan. That’s 10 years of having Obi-Wan looking over his shoulder whereas Ahsoka is barely a Padawan for a year when she’s off doing solo missions. Nobody reminds Ahsoka that she’s still a Padawan but Padme publicly humiliates Anakin in front of the queen of Naboo and her advisors that he isn’t a Jedi yet, he’s still a Padawan learner
This season really showed how obsessed with ahsoka filoni was, three arcs out of 5 in this season were about her which is too much, season 3 was definitely a hint at it since she had two arcs there aswell.
The episodes that featured Hondo Ohnaka made them entertaining because of Hondo himself. He is probably one of the best original characters in the show. In regards to Barriss Offee, I still don't get why the writers didn't come with a different Jedi. Tadd Larkin pointed out that the writers were throwing darts at the potential suspect that could have bombed the Jedi Temple and framed Ahsoka. Not only did they bastardize Barriss, they turned her from a Force healer to a freaking terrorist who betrayed her friend. They could've used a Jedi in a vain of Pong Krell, like a new and original character.
Ahsoka's meddling is also why Lux Bonterri isn't with Death Watch. Which is sad, since Lux and Pre Vizsla might've been able to kill Dooku if Ahsoka didn't get in the way.
Savage Oppress was such wasted potential, he's just there to listen to Maul's plans. You can never go wrong with Hondo tho lol. It's kind of strange they abandoned the Lux x Ahsoka side plot, probably "she don't need no man" thing influenced that. You'd think they'd use Lux later on, maybe for the Rebellion. Apparently, Lux in canon married some imperial woman, so in the end sort of hinting at romance between the two was kind of pointless. In Legends a Jedi would go to Ilum to build their lightsaber WITH THEIR MASTER after being selected by as their Padawan, but I guess you could say this group of younglings were special or whatever to they got to do it. I actually liked Huyang, the lightsaber building droid. I have a headcanon that he was an ancient Tythonian droid, he said in the episode he was there from the beginning of the Jedi Order. If Dawn of The Jedi had not been cancelled I would have had him start off as a lowly forge assistance droid making swords for Je'daii Master Madog. 44:10 I think the reason why Death Watch is so easily accepted by the Mandalorian people is because not everyone was on board with Satine's pacifist ideology. Some probably wanted to be able to use deadly force to protect their home, whereas others were resentful for the Republic bombing their planet into a desolate wasteland and didn't like that Satine was buddy-buddy with both Padme and Obi-Wan. That, and the Death Watch at most just bombed a few places in Mandalore just to show they still exist, while doing little damage, while the bulk of their attacks were against the Duchess, the Republic, and other off-worlders, which means that most Mandalorians would barely care about that. Not to mention that some Mandalorians might still have family within Death Watch, like how Satine's sister Bo-Katan is in Death Watch. Also, Satine's decisions have been one bad call after another. Making Mandalore pacifist made it weak and susceptible to attacks from the outside, not to mention it makes them unable to protect trade routes they need to get crucial supplies into the planet. It also made an enemy of the Death Watch, whereas they would've been her willing allies if she kept the military of Mandalore. Their main beef with her was her pacifist nonsense; if she accepted Mandalore's warrior ways, Pre Vizsla would be happily taking orders from her. Satine's unwillingness to join either the Republic nor the Separatists meant that when they have supply crises, the Republic or Separatists won't help them get supplies or protect trade routes with their fleets. Three of the most important people in her court betrayed her, from her Prime Minister, to her governor of Concordia, to her senator. So it isn't that surprising that the people would betray her so easily. So in hindsight, Satine losing Mandalore to Death Watch is like what if the IRA took over Belfast after kicking out a gang of criminals who took over. Sure, there will be those who resist, but most of the people would view them as heroes and liberators, since they really didn't like the British Monarchy anyways.

But no, Filoni had to let their live through all of it, even retroactively inventing time travel to save her keister.
Ok, can we talk about how Bariss' plan to frame Ahsoka makes absolutely zero sense? Firstly, framing one of the jedi who wasn't even on the planet at the time of the explosion is absolutely moronic. No one should have believed that Ahsoka was guilty, because she literally in a battle off world when it happened. I also don't see why Bariss would frame Ahsoka, when she's the one jedi, other than her master, that Bariss has been established to actually care about. Even if she believes the Jedi Order as a whole is corrupt, she doesn't have any reason to think Ahsoka is a bad person, and would surely want to frame a different jedi instead. Secondly, how the hell did Bariss get into the prison to kill Leta? We see that even Anakin isn't allowed in later, but a padawan is just allowed to go in for no reason? Leta asked to speak to Ahsoka, but Bariss going in for no reason should have been extremely suspicious. Do they not have records of who visited the prison, or was the episode seriously suggesting that Bariss was able to evade all the security to infiltrate a maximum security prison by herself? Bariss then manages to force choke Leta through a solid wall, without even being able to see her. I'm pretty sure that you can't choke someone if you can see them, but ok. Also, Bariss somehow managed to disable the audio on the camera in Leta's cell, or was extremely lucky that it was conveniently broken for her plan to work. Either way that's stupid. She then manages to somehow avoid being caught, kills a bunch of clones, and leaves Ahsoka the key card, without being spotted, to frame her again. Do they just have no cameras anywhere except inside the cells? How is Bariss able to move around the prison without anyone spotting her? Her entire plan is based on combination of being able to be places she shouldn't be able to get to, and being able to do things without being seen that would have been spotted from a mile away. I can only assume that Bariss can turn invisible, because that's the only way she could possibly have managed to get where she needs to be to pull this plan off. Her plan also relies on the fact that Ahsoka conveniently puts her hands up towards Leta, whilst she's being force choked, which makes it look like Ahsoka is then one who killed her. If Ahsoka had responded in a more normal way, by calling for help, then Bariss' entire plan to frame her wouldn't have worked. Even ignoring how Bariss was completely character assassinated by this arc, and the fact that her turn to the dark side wasn't set up at all in the show, this entire arc's plot is contrived nonsense. It probably takes the cake for the worst arc in the whole show.

@@j.j.plagiarisms7149 At this point, JJ, you could save them for Season 7, since both Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple were meant to be part of it. The second.....ughhhhhh, people fawn over it for some stupid reasons, but it's so damn contrived and such an awful closure for Ventress. Battle of Boz Piti all the way for me.
Nowhere in the behind-the-scenes featurettes does Dave Filoni say that he cut the episode in a way to trick George about Ahsoka's fate. It's true that he didn't have the usual end credit score playing precisely to fix the issue you've mentioned when it comes to abruptly ending the more sad episodes with the bombastic Clone Wars theme, but nothing else. Criticize the show all you want, but don't lie.

I said this in one of the newer community posts. This is unrelated but it’s about Disney and the Faux representation. “One other thing that I want to talk about is that all of the faux representation (mainly the pride stuff) in many modern Disney movies is another example of the MPAA contradicting themselves. They say that any pride related thing (except for REALLY subtle jokes about pride people I think) will give the film an instant R rating. Don’t get me wrong, the MPAA was always garbage and unfair and I disagree with that rule myself, but Disney sweeps under the rug because of 2 reasons. 1. They know how hypocritical the MPAA is and 2. They’re ONLY doing this in non-ex Soviet nations (except for North Korea, China and maybe a few others cause duh) where they can get away with it.” Edit: Apparently North Korea and China WERE part of the USSR. My bad.

I'll be done with Disney Star Wars only when Andor will be over
@@spartacus936
I haven't watched Andor and thankfully, I don't plan to.
@@JinxTheLooneyToon915I hate almost everything from Disney, but believe me, Andor is good. It doesn't rely on fanservice, has an interesting plot and original characters.
@@JinxTheLooneyToon915 Why?
@@lukescrew1981
Just no interest in it
honestly, i gave up watching this show on season 4, so your season 5 review will be completely new territory for me and since im not into the clone wars i don't give a shit about spoilers
I try to make all my reviews easy to follow even if you have not read, watched or played the story in question
This guys intellect is amazing
Transformers prime>Star Wars The Clone Wars
Transformers: Prime can't be compared to TCW because it's BEYOND TCW's league, from characterization, plot, writing, lore, and has an overall superior presentation when it comes to the Autobots/ Decepticons and their textures and many animations.
Nah bro
I'm not the biggest fan of Prime, but I'll take it over TCW anyday.

@@BrandontheAwesome what 😂
1:03:18 the trial is Filoni's biggest strawman trying to convince the audience how bad and evil the Jedi Council supposedly is.
3:57 you mean Darth Bane right? He absolutely ruined his character plus the exiles in the novel
I wish they pick Sora Bulk to be Semi-EU Accurate.
Sora Bulq would have been perfect as the bomber of the Jedi Temple, even if continuity was screwed by this point.
3:30 Im so glad I dont work at cemeterys anymore
You not gonna review son of Dathomir?
For me being the lost arc of tcw, being adapted in a comic, it had the biggest wasted potential you have dooku and maul in the same room and theres, the most generic dialogue and no refrence to qui gon.
Maybe I COULD Review that alongside Season 6....
@@j.j.plagiarisms7149
And possibly Dark Disciple.
@@j.j.plagiarisms7149 At this point, JJ, you could save them for Season 7, since both Son of Dathomir and Dark Disciple were meant to be part of it. The first is actually really good, good art and the writing is solid enough. The second.....ughhhhhh, people fawn over it for some stupid reasons, but it's so damn contrived and such an awful closure for Ventress. Battle of Boz Piti all the way for me.
What version of the partisans song did you use I’d love to know the name
It's the version composed by Mick Gordon and Tex Perkins for Wolfenstein: The Old Blood
@@j.j.plagiarisms7149 SOME YOU RESPONDED thank you that song is brilliant I cant wait to see your latest videos!!!!!
Does anyone know the name of the song used in this video I know the song is the but what mix is it a remake?
Such potential waist
Nowhere in the behind-the-scenes featurettes does Dave Filoni say that he cut the episode in a way to trick George about Ahsoka's fate. It's true that he didn't have the usual end credit score playing precisely to fix the issue you've mentioned when it comes to abruptly ending the more sad episodes with the bombastic Clone Wars theme, but nothing else.
Criticize the show all you want, but don't lie.
That's what the evidence suggests. Sorry. And given Filoni's rep as a liar, well, you can see why he probably didn't feature it in the behind-the-scenes.
Cope all you want, but do not try to lie.
@@BrandontheAwesome Post your fanfics somewhere else.
@@Aistis1918 Projecting much?
@@BrandontheAwesome I am not the one who wants to singlehandedly rewrite every C canon book adhering to the show''s changes. How's that going btw?
@@Aistis1918 Fun fact: Not every book needs to be re-written. Just some small changes here and there with a book or two.
And even then, it doesn't matter. TCW is not canon, and never will be
hondo the best thing that came out of clone wars lets be real
Some of the darth maul stuff was so good. Such a shame the rest of the show sucked

Oh freedom the winds a blowing lol wtf
They’re ONLY doing this in non-ex Soviet nations (except for North Korea, China and maybe a few others cause duh) where they can get away with it.”
Edit: Apparently North Korea and China WERE part of the USSR. My bad.
Finally the wait is over 🥲
