Anakin: Daisuke Namikawa
Obi-Wan: Toshiyuki Morikawa
Padme: Maaya Sakamoto
Huh.... Obi-Wan Dante.... Anakin Narukami and Padme Aigis.... nice
Whoever voiced Anakin is amazing
Daisuke Namikawa.
You assume I need English subtitles for this...
But why did the ending make me start to cry?!
Obi-wan - Minato Namikaze, Kimimaro, Sephiroth, and Griffith.
Anakin - Hisoka, Daryun, and Ulquiorra.
No way
Don't forget Yoshikage Kira and DMC Dante for Obi Wan.
Padme- Jeanne d'arc, Shinobu, Echidna, Shiki Ryougi, Aerith, Mari Illustrious
Wait the dude who voices obi herr voices the soft spoken minato?
Hayden's really expressive acting translates really good to moon speak lol, kudos to the Japanese VA team that dubbed this over, it syncs well.
Could be because George is a Samurai nut :D
Moon speak? That's rather racist.
@@watchmesquatch It's a nerdy Weeb reference, don't worry about what' rather 'racist' so much. You'll be stuck on that chapter for the rest of your life if you let it get to you lmao
He actually speaks Japanese as well.
2:57 I’ve only NOW realized that Obi-Wan made an attempt to cut off Anikan’s legs before he reached the high-ground
i love that they still did "i have the high ground"
Really cool seeing these characters speak Japanese seeing that star wars was heavily influenced by the work of akira kurosawa, seeing these characters speak Japanese while dueling in long flowing robes really makes the samurai influence impossible to miss
Ashiya Douman= Obi Wan
Waver Velvet= Anakin
Jeanne D' Arc= Padme
I didn't know FGO had a Star Wars spin off.
Right
Was wondering why Padme sounded familiar
I think Zhuge Liang has been watching too much Star Wars.
the dub we didnt know we needed
People who watch anime should explicitly push for Japanese voice acting in more than anime.
Was not expecting "You were my brother" to hit so hard in Japanese
fun fact: Toshiyuki Morikawa voices Obi Wan but he’s also most notorious for voicing Yoshikage Kira in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable, voicing Sephiroth in the Final Fantasy VII series & Dante from Devil May Cry, but I’m pretty sure Toshiyuki Morikawa has also voiced Superman as well
I wouldn't be surprised at the Superman thing. I think there's an obsession with connecting Superman with Sephiroth, such as George Newbern, Tyler Hoechlin and now this dub actor.
Kira?? KIRA YOSHIKAGE!??!!!
So you're saying this is Kakyoin vs Kira? Crazy fan fic
@@saketbakshi4235 Nah, this is actually Anasui vs. Kira.
And Optimus Prime in the TFP Japanese dub
The new Star Wars prequel anime looks great
Dude I love this an unnatural amount. Star Wars is anime from now on in my mind
“You’re breaking my heart” gets translated to “I wanna die” lol
The voice acting is amazing
Daisuke Namikawa was really the perfect choice for Anakin. I love him in the Garo anime and I’m loving him here!
Imagina um anime bem trabalhado de star wars!? É outro nível
wish someone could use this as audio for an Anakin vs Obi-Wan anime-tion
I Really Pray for that wish to become true bro
@@falkenauge5849 me too
That agonising scream in the japanese version is painful to hear, which is why i love the japanese version! (Hayden’s part was the best too)
It’s really cool that the Japanese cast is consistent between all the movies and the cartoons. Really helps connect the characters.
Obi-Wan's VA is Toshiyuki Morikawa who also voices Dante, Leon Kennedy, Sephiroth, Naraku and Griffith. Man is a legend
But unlike griffith, obi wan didn't sacrifice his comrades for the sake of power
Somebody needs to animate this like an anime with the dub.
0:38 Obi-Wan be like: hello there! 🤣
Kon'nichiwa there
XD
@@anakinskywalker549 Kenoby Shogun
Thank you sooooo much for uploading this!!!!! I loooove Japanese language, but the informal language.
This works so well!
It's perfect in Japanese!
They honestly did a good job of VA for this. They put in a really good performances
After seeing the dialogue of this scene in Japanese, I was CRAZY to see this fight in an anime!
Everything sounds 100 times more epic in Japanese
EVERYTHING sounds better in Japanese.
Nah, Anakin didn't have enough emotion
It sounds about 10,000 times better if you understand what you're hearing.
I can confirm.
@@kamentrainerhorn2073 No
Just that one "I hate you" was better with Hayden...
Diavolo's voice actor on Obi-wan is just priceless.
i love that they redubbed the screams and grunts as well when he makes the leap XD
Why does this sound so damn good ?! Oh my lord. Everything sounds nice in japanese ffs xD
自分の国の翻訳の評判がいいの嬉しいな!
It's so good!!
なんでもアニメと形容されてしまうのは複雑でもある
なんか全く自分が褒められてるわけでもないのになんか嬉しい
This one’s much more refreshing to hear than the original, it’s so much better 😌
Anakin's voice actor could have been better, but Obi-Wan's voice actor absoloutly killed it.
It’s the other way around tho obi wans did improve in the end
@@ThatsOk83 Sounds like an opinion
And luckily I have a garbage can
The translator made the dialogue sound really epic and serious. The wordplay is impeccable.
The Japanese version always hits harder!
Japanese makes everything sound so freaking cool
I think this is better then the orginal english version
I don't think so
I think it's interesting because of the massive influence samurai movies had on star wars
Yikes
The english “I hate you” cannot be beaten
@@alchemist6819 Oh yes I think so
Obi-Wan is voiced by Sephiroth and Padme is voiced by Aerith
Even in the French dub, Bruno Choel as Sephiroth’s French voice also voices Obi-Wan Kenobi so he shares the exact same roles as Toshiyuki Morikawa in Japanese.
Considering George Lucas originally wanted Toshiro Mifune to play Obi-wan this is amazing! I still wish we got to see Mifune's Obi-wan!
Through studying one of Obi Wans most legendary duels, and attempting to recreate the moves Obi Wan used himself, Anakin created a new legendary duel for Padawans to learn from.
Fun fact for the Pokémon fans. Anakin in Japanese is voiced by Daisuke Namikawa who voices Rotom Dex & Ash’s Lucario.
Obi Wan in Japanese is Wallace.
If we were going by Smash Bros. It’s Sephiroth vs Lucario.
1:48
ここで”my new empire”を「新しい帝国に」と訳したのは許せん
Never knew I needed this! Namikawa Daisuke & Toshiyuki Morikawa are incredible
And Maaya Sakamoto
Kid vs enel
So Anakin Baitsa Dasuto (bites the dust) 👎🏼
Jellal vs Minato
Sephiroth vs Lucario
This needs more views
Obi-Wan: “It’s over Anakin! I have the high ground!”
Anakin: “You underestimate my power!”
Obi-Wan: “Don’t try it!”
*Anakin jumps*
Me, tapping into years of watching anime in Japanese: “YAMEROOOOO!!!”
😂😂😂
Imagine this who movie in
Anime
