Been to Jamaica 17 times, Sandals 12. Good advice. We are going to Sandals South Coast in August and Granada in January.
Our 4th Sandals visit (Montego, Antigua, Exuma)...going Club South Coast in September 2017 (yup, travel insurance!) Thanks for the tips!

You can not make dinner reservations before you arrive (I am also a Sandals specialist)

Your review is lacking. You don't say where you are. You must be at one of the larger resorts because we have never had less than exemplary service. The room does not always matter depending on which Sandals that you are at. At Sandals South Coast for instance they are all Oceanview. Ochi we would recomend a butler because it is so large. At Antigua I would not go without club. South Coast there are no reservations and you never wait more than 10 minutes. Excursions can be canceled if not enough people have booked it. Again it depends on how big it is. You sound like you don't really recomend the resort. I think I would rather a TA that actually likes the resort. Might want to rethink a being a Sandals Specialist.
Hi Ann Marie - your comments are absolutely correct! This was not a review of the resort I was staying at, in fact it was just designed to help educate others who, like me, are not familiar with Sandals or the all-inclusive experience on three things I learned while I was there. I actually do not specialize in Sandals, and happily refer clients looking for that kind of experience to one of my friends who is an amazing agent specializing in the romance field. I misspoke! The excursion company is called Island Routes, fyi.
Going to Montego Bay with a swim up suite and butler service on the lagoon side. I know the room isn't huge, but we are happy with what we have seen online via You Tube and we know about the planes flying over during the morning and evenings. Do you know if there sand fleas there also? My wife is so concerned with her first time being out of the country for a week. Is the passport deal a hassle coming and going? I have been told that there is an app you can download and will get you through the lines faster. Thank you for your video. Hi Steve - I'm sure you'll have a great time!!! Passport control can be a bit of a wait, it's true. You may want to invest in "Club MoBay" for your arrival and departure from Jamaica, and then yes- Mobile Passport can help you clear customs on your return to the US a bit faster, if the airport you arrive into offers it. (I never had sand fleas, but nature can surprise you.)

sorry i offended you hahaha honest to god i was told it was a swingers resort, and the commercials sure make it look like one. Unfortunately, i am an adult.....actually, im right in the prime age range that swingers prefer so i guess if i went there id be a smash hit, eh? just getting with everyones wives....maybe i will go, hope to see ya'll there

brandynicole 17 I’m not a Sandals resort specialist but I have been to 3 different locations ( Montego Bay, Bahamas, St. Lucia)and will be attending my 4th (Ocho Rio) in June 2018. So far St Lucia is by far my favorite. The staff are so welcoming and so much fun to hang out with. We still keep in contact with a couple of the staff members there.
Montego Bay is my least favorite only because it’s more of a family friendly resort and we were looking more for a more mature crowd.

Planning a 25th wedding anniversary vacation next year. looking to have all inclusive. Any suggestions, and how much is will cost? We unfortunatley don't have 10,000 for a vacation
jenny hartman Congrats!! How much it will cost depends on a lot- where you're flying from, when you're going, and what kind of room & experience you want. $10k is likely far above what one couple would spend- half that is more likely.

hi where i am coming from , if i want to stay at sandals and have the butler service its going to cost about 25,000 per couple
Were going this June staying at Ochi for 10 nights butler level is only 7,000 flights are 1,800. Theres no way you're going to pay 25k
I Agree we are going in May to St Lucia flying from California staying 10 nights and have a butler and we are paying 10k
Sandals sounds snobby.
As a specialist I’d expect you to offer upbeat advice for all price points. Not all travelers can afford a butler. And those without a butler can truly have a magical experience. Your delivery is awful. Practice more before you advise others.

From what I can see your veiw is not that Great. You want a room with a view, you pay more. It's that simple.
JESSE ARMSTRONG not true, I have arrived twice in eight trips to various Sandals resorts, didn't like my room or the view, let management know IMMEDIATELY, & was IMMEDIATELY made happy by switching us to a better room of my liking. I think the key to success is to be vocal, as in, let the right people know & be firm that you are not happy. If you can't be happy at a Sandals, you aren't happy to begin with! Sandals is the best!

Not everyone can afford the expensive rooms. This makes people feel like they will be treated less important because of that.. very rude.
Actually, the great thing about Sandals is that you're treated the same no matter what room category you're in (no different wrist bands or anything). That said - the more you're able to pay, the more services you do have access to. I was just trying to make some of the advantages clear for some of the upgrades.
@Julia Matheson, to @Liz Schardin's point, you did make it sound terrible NOT to have the upgrades. Some people can barely afford to be there, but want to enjoy a new experience. For example, you said if you don't get the butler service to bring your choice of drinks in cooler to your chair, you would have to "schlep yourself" to the bar and get your own. It sounded very, very snobby. Yikes! A travel pro should understand how to make all the levels sounds great.
Absolutely bad review !
First of all couples resort only I think that the name it say it all !
Second .. like all places in the world where you travel you get what you pay for .... if you only paying for a cheap room that’s what you will get !!! and I’m sure if you make your dinner reservations like they advance you at the checking time you won have problems at all. All the sandals have something interesting to do from tours like you mention and tons of activities check the daily news paper !!!!
