2:56 "how would you form miningful friendships if you're always behaving and acting in a way that's unnatural to You" Yo that shit hit me hard. That hurt

3:26 okay I also do that with two friends that their relationship ended on a bitch fight(I think that's the Best way to describe it). I miss my old big friend group and even thought they hate each they never did something really bad to me other than insult me on the daily, but is more of a guardian of the galaxy kind of thing they were all assholes and we loved each other and whatever problem we had is solved. I haven't heard of one of the two "bitch fighters" in weeks and I really miss her and I heard for the first time in weeks of one my friends, I also missed him

You hit the nail on the head with the observation that despite being a rigid military dictatorship the Horde (under Katra) is more socially accomodating than the Princess alliance.
However, I think you are under-playing how completely amoral Entrapta is. She is always on the side which offers her the most resources for her mad science. All of her interactions with others are input-output tests and "troubleshooting the software".
It takes a very long time before Entrapta learns what genuine affection feels like, what it feels like to lose unconditional love, and finally what it feels like to take care of someone else.
But even then, I don't think she completely abandons a transacton-based view of relationships by the end of the series.

Shes not amoral, she has morals, they just dont align with the rest of society's, her morals are more thinking based than feeling and morality based, and she does care abt her friends, she just doesnt know how to show it, and besides, lets be honest, would *you* do everything you can for "friends" who abandoned you like her "friends" expect her to do for others without even trying to do the same for her?

It still kills me that we don’t get a proper backstory for her. Like did her parents just abandon her? How long has she been living on her own before she met up with the Princess alliance? It makes sense that she’d be easy to manipulate if most of her socialization was done through robots as opposed to other people. I was hoping we’d get more elaboration on it in the fire princess graphic novel but alas.

I agree they did a very good job on this analysis and video in general,
my experience has been very different from the way entrapta is portrayed so I can't quite relate to her but I respect how the writers tried.

I actually did notice how, once hordax got a friend instead of subordinates (that being Entrapta), became progressively friendlier. I don't know if you're neurodiveregent, but since you had to do so much to learn about the autistic experience, I'm going to assume you're not. If I'm right, thank you for getting interested into autism and trying to comprehend us. Not many neurotypical people do

Personally I've always seen Catra as more Borderline Personality Disorder coded than autistic though interesting take regardless. I'd love to learn more about that theory. For me I can see it more in Entrapta than Catra.
I feel she does show strong signs of BPD though as she marks off nearly every symptom on the checklist especially in her interactions with Adora where she shows signs of a splitting episode. Splitting being when a BPD sufferer has a black and white view of people being all good or all bad often leading to them having a favorite person who they believe can do no wrong one moment who they base their self worth off of, just to later on see them like the worst person ever if they ever abandon them with no gray areas.
They often lash out at perceived abandonment, act impulsively, have a distorted sense of self and can disregard their own life especially with self harm, recklessness, and "sewerslidal" behavior. They tend to be highly paranoid of others and their intentions, and push people away so they can't abandon them. Due to this they have trouble forming stable relationships with others. Sometimes flip-flopping between feeling emotions more intensely and for longer periods than other people especially negative emotions like self hatred, as well as periods of numbness or emptiness within them where they often devalue their life as worthless and the things they do as meaningless from the empty feeling. It's a disorder that tends to happen to people with abandonment issues, especially children of narcissist parents who push a golden child/scapegoat dynamic where one kid is the favorite and the other is the bad one who can do no right.
Often the scapegoat child ends up with conditions like BPD or depression where they'll never feel like they're good enough deep down and where the golden child tends to ended up with OCPD or perfectionist traits as their sense of self was taught at a young age to be needing to live up to others expectations. It's because a narcissists love is always conditional leading to an anxious attachment from one and an avoidant from the other as is how attachment theory works. Sound a bit like Adora and Catra?

[TL; DR: I love Entrapta and this video just gave me the perfect excuse to ramble about the one pet peeve, I can't seem to get over, in my favourite show. Love that for me 😂 ]
I may be terribly biased because I absolutely adore Entrapta, but watching her be used and mistreated by the Princesses Alliance was rough.
While I can forgive them for not valuing her skill set, I can't forgive them for not valuing her as a person. The cognitive dissonance!! They were so willing to accept her death and later allegiance to the Horde, without the slightest hint of introspection after Entrapta pleaded "I'm on the side of science!" and "But don't worry about me. I love it here. (....) the Horde's been so supportive". Even when they rescued her from Beast Island, their sole motive was to have her disable the Heart of Etheria 😭😭 and even after that, it didn't matter that she tried to reconnect with them, it was Scorpia (the hoard captain that mind you, has actively tried to kill them with their own pincers) the one to beg them to try and see her as the human deserving of love and understanding she is, but also, as an ally trying to help.
It took her literally risking her life, to receive an "Entrapta helped" and "you are still a weirdo but you did good today" "We've got your back any day".
After they confront her with the repercussions of her actions, she's able to realise the princesses are mad at her, to which she proceeds to take all blame and apologise for "being bad at listening" and "messing everything up". But what apology or acknowledgment of her hurt did she get? Oh, yeah, Bo telling her that "friendship isn't easy" that it takes "everything you've got" and most infamously "We are not ever going to leave you behind _again_".
You know it's bad when one of the people that treated her best, was also the one to go on and try to end the fucking world, after shocking her unconscious and sending her to Beast Island. Kind of sad that the bare minimum's here is "at least Catra manipulated her like everyone else". And for crying out loud, she even tried to, very aggressively but straight forward, protect Entrapta from Hordak after he suffocated her. Most impressive, not even after Shadow Weaver singles Entrapta out as the reason for Catra's problems at the time, mixed with her jealousy issues and overtaking of authority, did she actively conspire to hurt Entrapta.
Moral of the story? I love Entrapta and I'll forever cherish her😂😂

You’re completely right. I didn’t understand and her or her switch to the hoard. I thought “they’re obviously a bad guys” so I thought she was just an immoral person that was really selfish. I have a lot more to chew on now. thanks. I thought in the end the princesses were right to be mad at Entrappta for betraying them but now I see there are two sides to every story. She’s not just the immoral mad scientist stereotype I get it now.

@@megaplatformer2702update: finished the finale of the show about an hour or so ago, as well as excitedly ranted about and disected the storytelling for the proceeding aforementioned hour or so. I think entrapta has taken the spot for the character that I relate to the most by a mile, having the same gifted-adhd-autism personality trifecta. I feel called out in many ways, dispite me having gotten around most of the hurdles that come with autism. I felt especially called out when I realized in the middle of my aforementioned rant that the common behavior of entrapta carelessly digging into thing to see how they work-which I had previously though of as one of the less relatable things about her- was exactly what I was doing with the storytelling. LMFAO
