This is nearly as good as a konami-VRC6 cover i once heard! bravo, this chip is so much harder to work than a VRC6.

You make me a lot more excited about the opl3. Compared to other sound solutions the games i heard on opl / adlib did not have that sound to them i enjoyed from for example a c64 but your showing it can be done.
If you ever want a real challenge see if you can cover Hi Fi Sky by Lman. Its a C64 song that gets a lot out of its sid chip.

Most of the time, games were trying to keep Adlib compatibility, so they couldn't use the square and sawtooth waves. I make heavy use of them, so that might be the difference you're hearing.
I'm not familiar with the song you linked - I'll have to look into it when I get online later, thanks.

On AdLib Tracker's website, there is an SDL version you can download for Windows. It contains a very good emulator for OPL3 playback. It also runs great on Linux through Wine.
It's not perfect emulation, but it's the best I've ever heard.
