Please elaborate on "BMW brake". What size, year, model, bolt on, and number of pistons? Thanx
@@Twogreenfeet I'm using front brake/hub/wheel bearing and rear brakes off of an e60 5 series. Specifically, they're off of an 08 535xi
The brakes are massive, roughly 13" rotors. I think pretty much all BMW brakes (except maybe the Ms?) are single piston.
Nothing has really been "bolt on" except the rotors themselves. The 3rd gen is 5x4.75 and the bimmer is 5x120. That pattern and the center bores are close enough (for me) to just run them. But there is definitely some fabricobbling involved for the rest haha
I will make a video for this car on our channel once it is done in case you are interested in exactly how I do it! Worst case scenario, you'll know what not to do haha

dang, and its a hard top... and grey/black interior. i bought a purple rs 89 camaro for my first car and spent 1500 just replacing the red interior with that interior over 2 years.

The Camaro is dope as hell I had a 1983 Camaro with 305 HO motor 5 speed manual and a 10 bolt posi rear end all factory and thats one car I wish I kept. Hell yeah 👍 fix that thing up

Just as an fyi... Most of these cars rely on an under trey on the bumper that scoops the only air into the radiator from under the car. If this plastic panel gets damaged... It doesn't scoop air into the radiator. The. Causes the car to overheat one time and then it never runs good again. So if that is bent or anything weird... That needs to be replaced.

383 stokers are a 3.5" bore with a 400ci crank. They make a stupid amount of tourque!!!! Monster of a motor.
No, a 4" bore 350 block +.030 over and 3.75" 400 crank with main journals machined down = 383. 3.5" bore is 267 block
I owned an 89 iron,& 92 rs 3rd gen’s both black . Also owned a
94 rs ,& a 2001 rs 4th gen’s both of them convertible white with cream tops,they were his and hers. The 94 was mine, I liked the aerodynamic look and it was more sinister drag type of hotrod. I like yours too, see a future with this one.

I've had quite a few third gens and after I got into newer cars I found out the 3rd or 4th generation interior actually works as a direct swap because if I got another one again I was going to swap the 02 SS interior into it and go LS turbo, your hood is aftermarket it was more of the aggressive Z28 hoods..if I were you I wouldn't look for stock thirdgen seats I would just swap newer camaro seats in it they are more comfortable

I will say you need to check the cooling cowl for the radiator that is under the front, it's an air dam that shoves air up across the radiator.

Brooo, I got a 91 z28 one owner 60k miles. Was gifted to me and I’ll be taking ownership of it this weekend. It’s red and I have all the paper work from the day it was orders from dealership. My father in law put down $500 and drove away. That’s how long ago 1991 was lol

My mom had a 3rd gen RS but it came with a 305 V8 but my pops pulled it out and dropped in a built LT1. Had the trans built to hold it and needless to say that bish was nasty 😎
Honda brought me to your channel but I grew up with all American cars so all your content rocks bro. I would love to get my first car to own again but I always get a good luck from my dad to try and find a 62 Lincoln Continental, but I have definitely built more Hondas then American cars👍🏻

Just letting you know I have a 3rd Gen Camaro that originally had a V6 engine in before I put a high performance 350 crate engine in it. . I ended up having to get a new 700r4 transmission those bolts behind a V8. There bellhousing is different with the 700R4 transmissions that was behind the V6 vs V8 .
Always wanted one, but were told everything fell apart inside and to reconsider unless I had a big budget.
Clean. I have a 92 RS with a 350 ZZ4 swap but it’s not running at the moment.
My dad had an 85 z28 and an 88 rs, both in red, this is definitely triggering some memories haha...
I don’t think the problem is that people hate it, the problem is that you never finish things. Like you said you take it apart and then nothing, oh BAM bought a new project. Like come on man, out of all the cars you’ve owned/tried to help people with I think you only finished 5 after khaki. Have been enjoying the content lately though. Really miss how you used to be though when you built khaki made me laugh a lot, now you can tell the comments get to you and tend to be petty and nag about it which kinda puts me off. I’ll still keep watching though since I like how you can tell these are YOUR cars and they have your character, excited to see what you do with the 3rd gen and hope you get your Pontiac eventually.
Hell yeah I'm for it. Smart move to try and keep it going as is instead of tearing in to it. That's what I used to do as well 😅. One day I'll get the better motor but for now I'll enjoy the turd for what it is. Slow cars can be fun... sometimes 😂
You might want to check the pattern on the transmission (I think it’s like the 2.8)
The 2.8 and 3.1 are 60 degree and have a different bellhousing than 4.3 v6 or any Chevy v8. So to install that 383 you will need to cut the bellhousing off and bolt on an aftermarket scatter shield or use a V8 transmission.
I'm not a honda guy at all. I came here by way of robbyv and only stayed because of the S10...then the Blazer. I do like the Camaro too.

If you have a Honda dizzy around that you knw is good ,take off the ignitor n swap it. I had to do this to a h22a4 swap I had on an eg.. All the ignitor are the same ,single cam n dohc, just like the coild in the dizzy also interchangeable w other distributors

I have a hood just like that that is busted but the louvers are there, its not a factory hood, its the same exact hood you have there I recognized it right off. You can have them if you can figure out shipping from me. Im close to Dallas Fort Worth.
