Im so glad to see this archive of it in urban decay. The whole place/story/history is fascinating and horrific at the same time. I’d have liked some commentary on how you were feeling while in there. The walls must have been thick with abuse, torment and despair.
Some friends and I went in there around 2003-‘04 and it was an interesting journey. We got lost in the basement and had to climb out a window due to the labyrinth of corridors and rooms you could walk through. I’ll never forget when we actually came across a flooded tunnel because we’d all thought that was urban legend. From Northampton and forever grateful we found our way in before demolition.

I went to smith and did this with friends. Sad that it’s gone, what a historic place that could have served some good in its second life after the life it had the first go around.
At 10:29 in the video your entering the power plant. I was an operator in that plant back in 1984. I remember watching the local news one night and seeing the power plant smoke stack being blown up. That video footage must exist somewhere?
My old stomping grounds. Got in through the third story with two friends back in ‘97ish. Creepy AF once the sun went down. We didn’t have flashlights and the first two floor were boarded up so….yeah. Almost got lost.
So many memories.... I lived 10 min from here for many years back then and I (and many other people) used these grounds as a dog walking, nature walking area..... so creepy but beautiful and peaceful ....

I worked there in the 70's. It was very well maintained. I worked with good loving people.

Lol, I did a ton of the paint inside the new condos, I said the same thing
