      No training for the rest of July dosent mean no content which is the best way to recover from an injury cause learning tips from the legend himself we will come back stronger!

    I think the ab crunch machine is a great choice because it's stable and unlike bodyweight exercises, it allows you to actually train to failure and progressively overload the muscle.

      My gym has a machine like that. It's an awesome machine but i maxed out the stack. My only option is either cable crunch or weighted decline sit ups.

      @@agrlklarkemirenpanda660you can buy a pin to put in the machine that has a small bar end for plates. So you can add another 20kg for example. They are usually just a few dollars

    Abs are not "the same thing as every other skeletal muscle in the body" in the sense that the area on top on them is the primary repository of adipose tissue in the male body, which can't be said for quads or any other skeletal muscle. So yeah, people quite correctly say that "you need to lose weight to get better abs", singling out the abs in a way that isn't that relevant for the quads and other muscles.
    Abs (especially lower abs) will be the last muscles to become visible as bodyfat decreases, whereas, say, biceps will be fairly prominent long before that.
    The point about needing to additionally work the abs to actually make them "pop" is a valid one, however.

    First of all if you do heavy compounds in the gym, all work the abs directly or indirectly. You need to get freaking lean to see abs. Being an ectomorph is an advantage in the case but for opposite diet is more important

    Abs get trained enough with other exercises no need to train them plus both the exercises you showed are mainly for hip flexors

    Broo this is so so so confusing. 60% of creators claim we donot need to train abs separately since they already get enough stimulus from compound lifts. The other 40% say we need to train them

      Your core will grow with compound lefts alone. However, if you want abs then why not train them?
      It’s the same as your triceps growing when you bench

    I agree with all the stuff you say but I disagree here. In a video from over a year ago, you had a huge 6 pack and you showed your “ab workout” which consisted of those exercises in 5 min abs videos. It’s clear those do absolutely nothing yet you had abs.

    disagree, abs don't need to be huge to look good in the same way that quads do. Just having them be visible is aesthetically pleasing and impressive enough for most people

    True to some extent. Everyone that has low enough body fat will have visible abs, yet it cant be said the same for quads. Prime example are skinny people. They all have visible abs(of course nothing to brag about, but still they are visible). Quads can grow to a further extent that abs can....
