Nice video Squirrel. Guildford is my hometown so I know this line and the trains pretty well. Couple of little points, Guilford is actually spelt Guildford and Haslemere is pronounced Hazel-mere
They only tend to run a shuttle between Guildford and Haslemere when there is engineering work on. Usually there are 4 trains from London Waterloo through Guildford on this line. Two go fast to Haslemere, Petersfield, Havant, Fratton, Portsmouth and Southsea and Portsmouth Harbour, One stops at Farncombe, Godalming, Haslemere and then all stations to Portsmouth and Southsea and one stops at all stations to Haslemere. Both the slower ones go through Platform 2 at Haslemere and the fast ones go through the other two platforms. Guildford also gets stopping trains via Cobham and Epsom using Class 455's, stopping trains to Ascot via Aldershot using Class 456's and 450's and Great Western trains between Reading and Gatwick Airport using Class 156's. There is also one Cross Country Voyager service up to Newcastle and one Southern Class 377 service to London Victoria
11:32 In Denmark, i was standing and waiting for the train. it was raining and it was dark. When the train came, it drew through the station so only one door was left to get in and out through. And that was also long train :))
I believe the AWS alarm at 6:20 was to bring your attention to the speed decrease sign at the side of the tracks, I've found that to be the case on one of the Scottish routes, then the one nearer the station was for the signal
Nice to see Train Sim make an appearance. Still one of my favorite games :-) If you're interested in covering some new German content (which is what I'm usually playing) -> "Mittenwaldbahn" was released very recently and has very pretty Alpine scenery. Even better than that is "Konstanz - Villingen" by virtualRailroads. Probably the best German Route ever released. Not available on Steam but only from the virtual Rairoads website though, but it's just a simple .exe installer, without any additional stuff needed. Berlin - Lepizig (is available on Steam) is brilliant as well.
Hi squirrel Nice Video.... The service you were driving was a 'slow' service that stops at many stations and terminates at Haselmere. The so called 'High speed' train would have been the train The pulled in on the next platform in Haslemere. These are limited stop services from Portsmouth to London Waterloo, and generally skip the stations between haslemere and Guildford.
*live, btw that three coach GWR train that pulled into Guildford as you left is the train for Reading, and I live half way between Milford and Witley, but I go to school about half way between Guildford and Reading at a town called Crowthorne which is on that line, I often find myself hoppin on at Milford, changing at Guilford for Crowthorne. Also, the trains are always late on this line, don't worry about it
so the other thing is that on this line, we only get 450's, that means that the 450's do the highspeed, all that means is that they don't stop at as many stations as a regular train
I've tried driving this train on the London-Brighton line and I agree it's rubbish, I believe DTG originally developed it for use as AI on London-Brighton (a purpose it fulfills rather well) and then recycled it as a player train on this route, hence the questionable physics and no systems whatsoever. On a real UK train you would see a blue 'Door Interlock' light come on when the doors shut, and the guard would sound a buzzer (which you get on most DLC)
Squirrel, it's like 3rd video I'm watching in the same very day. So nice to watch and then just look for the trains and routes. I don't know why I just like to play Career Mode, because I don't like to change reality. I've been to the UK twice in 2019 and I spent loads of time spotting trains and stations in London. The only bad thing is that tickets are freaking expensive in my humble opinion. They used to complain of the sjy high prices on BBC London LOL Well, I'll carry on watching and supporting your videos of TS2017, I don't know if you've got TS2018. I've got both games. I love them.
08:13 if they wanted to make it even more realistic, they should have a the platform controller using his whistle when you are about to leave, as they do in real life
Great watch I love watching ur train sim videos think I've watch all ur UA-cam train sim videos I even follow u on twitch and watch ur streams while I'm at work keep up good work and can't wait till the next train sim video
Quick question about the train. In London to Brighton, the AI Class 450 is glitched and has gangways badly placed or not there at all. Is this a problem on the PDL version?
Hi Paul the 1.6.0 patch for ATS is in beta go and enjoy the patch for ATS the best of the patch is the difflock is there and so is the bypass system the little device stuck to your windshield in your truck but the trailer lift axial duse not work?
thanks for playing some Train simulator love this game can you play Albula line next time great fun beautiful scenery but very tricky and it has strange signalling (speed check)
There is a brake fix for this emu, but the only place I have ever seen it, on the rail sim users group facebook page. And, Armstrong Powerhouse does have better sounds for it as well.
When I use to play this (before my laptop could no longer handle the specs), I use to only use the 444 on this route. I hate driving the 450 with a burning passion, brakes are terrible.
hey, does anyone know in My Summer Car how to make the wheel sensevity smooth because it turns really slowly when am using my logitech G29 any suggestions would be very nice to help me with thanks. keep up the good work Paul!!
When passing over an AWS ramp which does not transmit a warning aspect the AWS on-board appliance will make this sound to inform the driver that AWS is working correctly.
If you're talking about Train Sim World, it releases on March 16th. If you pre-order now, you'll save 10%, and if you already own Railworks 1, 2, or 3, or Train Simulator 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, or 2017, you'll get an additional 10% off.
Nice video Squirrel. Guildford is my hometown so I know this line and the trains pretty well. Couple of little points, Guilford is actually spelt Guildford and Haslemere is pronounced Hazel-mere
Graham Arthur yup, mine too
Same
Graham Arthur I also lice in Guildford
snap
my summer c

+Squirrel
I'm not sure if you know but AWS goes off also before a Speed limit decrease warning board (Eg: 6:35)
The rendering of the trains are really good. The route seems reasonably good from what I see out of the windows each morning.
It’s 2021 and I still love the old TS videos.
OMG, saw this in my notifications, know the route, love the company SWT (my local) and the C450
Superb combo, cheers Paul
I believe the AWS alarm at 6:20 was to bring your attention to the speed decrease sign at the side of the tracks, I've found that to be the case on one of the Scottish routes, then the one nearer the station was for the signal
Nice to see a new video Paul! You sounded more cheerful than ever!
Best pun ever !!
" we are more or less on track"
Ha ha get it ?
Relentless there is no need to be rude
Never change the intro. It's really good.
Nice to see Train Sim make an appearance. Still one of my favorite games :-)

Squirrel, the message didn't say high-speed, it said fast. A fast train means it does not stop at all stations.
I think it was the double one that pulled in just before he left Haslemere.
Hi squirrel Nice Video.... The service you were driving was a 'slow' service that stops at many stations and terminates at Haselmere. Bypass not skip lol.... they are generally given priority
That's like Belgium railway. Always late.
true
it's the french railway who are always late x)
Mussolini would have none of that.
Especially if it was his personal train.
Honestly the only rail lines that are not late are the Japanese.
The first AWS alarm was for the speed reduction. Signal AWS magnets are usually only about 0.15 miles away
Northern man on a train in winter, complaining about the cost of car insurance - you're becoming a cliche squirrel lol.
I have driven this train in TS a lot, and i knew you will fail braking at least one time! :D And you did it! haha
Great vid
I wish this did a Ascot-Guildford one
so the other thing is that on this line, we only get 450's, that means that the 450's do the highspeed, all that means is that they don't stop at as many stations as a regular train

CyclicCynic 97 they made this before the london-brighton route, its so basic as its so old one of the first dlc coming out in 2012
Iwan Wrigley If you are a hardcore fan, buy Armstrong Powerhouse Soundpack. But only if you really need it.
I kind of thought that the phrase "return trip" made it pretty obvious that there was a change of ends required at Haslemere.
Big fan of your vids Squirrel, and train simulator is my absolute favorite. Excellent work.
I love train simulator, thanks for posting another video.
Amazing video! All your videos are so well done. I've driven some trains in TS17, but this line looks very cool indeed :)
Squirrel, it's like 3rd video I'm watching in the same very day. So nice to watch and then just look for the trains and routes. 10:44 wonder how third rail works with those crossings
@9:03 why was the volume cut off?
YES! I have been waiting for this. Is there a hounslow loop? I would love to see my local station and London Waterloo
Yay, more train simulator :D
Have you done the the train mallard yet I would love to see it.
08:13 if they wanted to make it even more realistic, they should have a the platform controller using his whistle when you are about to leave, as they do in real life
Uh squirel, its Guildford not Guilford
I love the class 444/450's! Well done on doing my local station 😉 shame you spelt GuilDford wrong..
Great watch I love watching ur train sim videos think I've watch all ur UA-cam train sim videos I even follow u on twitch and watch ur streams while I'm at work keep up good work and can't wait till the next train sim video
Love the video bro! Keep the videos rolling just like the coaches hah
Do some more Plane Simulator lines, I really miss those
There should have been an ice rink in Guildford for Guildford flames
Quick question about the train. In London to Brighton, the AI Class 450 is glitched and has gangways badly placed or not there at all. Is this a problem on the PDL version?
Lol. Never heard Haslemere pronounced like that. You must be Northern Squirrel. Thanks for the laugh. ;-)
Hi Paul the 1.6.0 patch for ATS is in beta go and enjoy the patch for ATS the best of the patch is the difflock is there and so is the bypass system the little device stuck to your windshield in your truck but the trailer lift axial duse not work?
The Physics on the 450 have been modified awfully, I believe there is a patch for it somewhere.
finally this isn't a my summer car video
Ikr
Neither was the last one.
hello wondering you can help on a train how do i activate the audio announcements on class 350 please i know it through the edit but how?
They only happen in scenarios.
Trainsim means like first,watch afterwards
this was just awesome once again thank you
did you use the Armstrong Powerhouse sound pack?
what are your settings like for this game because for me fps is all over the place, I know this game isn't optimized the best.
SWT 450 Do have traction control and the train that came in on platform 3 was the fast train. SWT Run 450s fast sometimes
Hey Paul, will you be doing Train Sim World when it comes available? That should give you plenty of buttons to press...
thanks for playing some Train simulator love this game can you play Albula line next time great fun beautiful scenery but very tricky and it has strange signalling (speed check)
do you have to buy the loco and map separately
Does anyone know if there is a map witch included chichester and cosham (cch and csa station code in the real world ) thanks
This may be the last video on Railworks / TS 2009 etc.
I truly hope TSW will have good performance and a more 'balanced' DLC system...
No x8x8 it’s Ts 17
There is a brake fix for this emu, but the only place I have ever seen it, on the rail sim users group facebook page. And, Armstrong Powerhouse does have better sounds for it as well.
good video squirrel as always.
Is there a way to get rid of speeding penalties? The fact that you get penalised for 1mph is quite ridiculous.
More internets for Squirrel!
Hey Squirrel, could you do a video on an NS train from the Netherlands sometime? ChrisTrains's models are top-notch.
Ever tried the west highland line?
Great content as usual squirrel, but when do you plan on doing another transport fever episode ?
I will say one thing! its very much like the british rail service!
finally something other than ets and my summer car
This video is the only time you will see a South West train moving
Yay I have been waiting for this
I have been on this exact route and it is cool
love the TS vids, you should do a Maglev route!!!
Jaden Cuffy *Route
I love half way down this line between Guildford and Haslemere and often use it. By The Way Squirrel, it's pronounced HAY-SUL-MEER
Is there any virgin trains class 390 mods
In which we observe that only experience can answer...
great vid, enjoy watching these vids
That’s platform 7 in Guildford which is my local town
how do you keep it so less laggy and great graphics?
He's got a really top end gaming pc.
Lucky squirrel always getting gaming gear Lol
Do London Victoria to Brighton route😭 plz
Yeah, that's a good route with lots of cool trains to go on it.
Pls tell me wht r the minimum requirements needed for this game
Squirrel! Please! It's GUILDFORD and Haslemere is pronounced Hazelmeer! Welcome to Surrey!
What addon does this belong to please ?
TheBarneyOx - Portsmouth Direct Line. ☺️
Will you do Train Sim World Vids when it released ?
He's already done 2 videos on the beta. I don't see why he wouldn't make videos with the full release.
Love the train sim vids
squirrel i am having problems installing mods in to ets2 i can only download them for steam workshop
When I use to play this (before my laptop could no longer handle the specs), I use to only use the 444 on this route. I hate driving the 450 with a burning passion, brakes are terrible.
Hi Squirrel, How are you doing sir, Hope you have a good weekend!!
Eating pizza, Watching squirrel, Today is a good day ; )
You do the new GWR 2019 train in start

Maxim Motyovszki no, sensitivity not sensetivity
but i want to adjust it, do you know how to adjust the sensitivity on the wheel in My Summer Car
Try degrees of rotation slider under Logitech Profiler
omfg.. this is my home town
finally train sim
Whats the *Dwioong* Sound mean?
When passing over an AWS ramp which does not transmit a warning aspect the AWS on-board appliance will make this sound to inform the driver that AWS is working correctly.
U know this is the South West trains and this is my mum's railway but too London Waterloo and Windsor and Eton Riverside
Great video squirrel. Does anyone have any advice, i am buying a new simulator, but i don't know whether to buy x-plane, or cities: skyline?
Cities:Skylines, its better.
Please can you do the Class 350 London Midland
when is the new engine coming?
If you're talking about Train Sim World, it releases on March 16th. If you pre-order now, you'll save 10%, and if you already own Railworks 1, 2, or 3, or Train Simulator 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, or 2017, you'll get an additional 10% off.
Is that southwest train
Train Simulator!? WHAT SORCERY IS THIS.
Hey squirrel hope you are reading this i love your vids keeeeeeep it up love you
If you go to world view, you can get into the train.
did you know TSW comes out the 16th of this month
Being that Dovetail gave him access to the beta before it was released to the public, they likely sent him the press release for the release date.
