I'm 30 years old and mixed, raised by the white half of my family and never taught or learned how to do my hair. I now have three beautiful mixed babies and they deserve to know and love their hair the way I wasn't allowed to. I'm going to be using this video to learn something simple and easy to start out: wish me/us luck. Yooo I want a night/morning routine! Like how you wrap it at night, and how you refresh it in the morning. When I be doing twist outs, my hair only lasts for like 4 days because it starts getting frizzy.
1. The smaller they are, the longer they are and they last longer because they don’t take as much friction which makes them frizz and loose out
2. Secure them to the ends usually small rubber bands work or you can use accessories
3. A durag or bonnet is the best thing to use or anything with silk keeps helps maintain the hair and avoid frizz, if you want to keep them elongated putting the first on and stretching the ends out helps to maintain that length
4. You can also twist the twists, divide your twists into maybe four sections two front and two back and you basically make bigger twists y with your smaller twists and that’s also good to sleep with as you wrap them in your Durag or bonnet

Make it tighter at the top where hair starts or maybe put bit of the gel on the start where it unravels so it kinda sticks I saw my hair stylist do it.

Shii I got the same type hair (I’m black and Mexican) and I gotta drop fade also. My twists always come out kinda thin though even after drying. Or I’ll just have like 6 thick twists. Do I need to change up my haircut or sum? Or just keep trying?
It might just be that your hair is thin and his is thick hair, I have really thin hair so mine are not as large aswell. It’s just genes. You can grow your hair out more so that you can get more hair in each twist
