To be continued…?
What an honor this was. This took over three months to pull together, and I think it was well worth the effort! I catered each section of the backing track to each individual player based on the style I enjoyed hearing them play in the most, and I think the end result is one of the most epic jams of all time. Make sure you subscribe to everyone in this video and give them some love! While I couldn't get every great UA-camr due to schedule conflicts etc., I think this is one of the sickest lineups ever assembled :D
Hey buddy, big fan.
How come Rick Graham was not here?
Is he not on level with the others, or was it just difficult to get him to participate?
Thank you for a great video
Next vid please MARSHALL HARRISON
Can you explain me what you did at 7:04? That was really cool! Just gimme the name of this technique and I will do the rest
Guthrie Govan. LOL!
Damn just had a eargasm. Really worth the effort and time!
Life goal:
Be in shred video with insane guitarists ✔️
glad you played "le lick"
Such a pleasant surprise to see you in this video!
Adam you Rock \m/
I don't think they know you play bass, after all, they're metalheads, all they care about is really fast licks.
Now THAT'S a Bass Solo done right!
-Adam Neely:"Fuck your guitars"
Im pretty surprised to see him here xD
*plays the lick twice in a row*
Adam Neely isn't actually a musician, he's a meme artist. I'm sure if you transcribe this there's a lick from allstar transposed and played backwards.
orphiccoma can you do something better?
I certainly never suggested Adam isn't a talented bass player, just that his ulterior motive is to create dank meta-jokes.
Lari Basilio for the win! She made that tele cry! The melodic tension in her playing, just wow. Those bends.
Wasn't a Fender Tele but yeah, she was awesome
@@lassefagerli9213 still a tele
@@recipoldinasty never said it wasn't
@@lassefagerli9213 semen?
I think Lari won this round. The way the melodies and harmonics combine together, plus the raw emotion that comes from it all is simply something special.
I don't deserve to be in this list, but thank you so much for having me brother!
Yours was the best though, great job Rob Scallon
Hell yeah you do dude glad to see my favorite youtuber on my other favorite youtubers channel you and Tyler got me into guitar so thank you
Your part was killer Jared!
shut fuck up, you deserve it and you know
I believe everyone feels the same way you do.
Such an honor to be part of this! Thank you so much Tyler and all the amazing players! And thank YOU for watching! :)
You Are Bae!!
I didn't know your channel but now I'm subbed, you have a lot of feeling
You're the best! Your solo brought tears to my eyes!
Brasil Muito bem representado!!! Parabéns Lari!! Você merece!
By far the best
That Lari's solo, she transfers that energy - straight from the heart
Omg Lari’s solo. Took me to a different world
Great to see Lari Basilio represented. Incredible player, as well as all the others.
Hosa Technology why wouldn't she be tho?:) she's one of the best players out there
I hadn't heard of her till this vid and her skill was impressive but her feel is what really grabbed my attention.
BRAAAAAAAAASSIL CARAI! HAHAHAHA
I love your guy's straight to straight cables, really good quality! Although your straight to angled cables always break! :(
Oh no, that's not supposed to happen. Email us at info@hosatech.com to get fixed up with an RA to replace the broken ones you have. We might also be able to help you upgrade to a connector more suitable for the wear and tear you need.
My dude Adam Neely puttin’ everyone else to shame with the most tasteful solo on here
Knight Rider Just second do Lari
He even threw in the lick
sweet luscious j a z z
That 5/16 over 6/8 section was absolutely bonkers.
OMG Lari Basilio is just another level in this video, I just replay and replay that solo
Hearing some Nuno with Tom, that was fun.
Lari freakin killed it (my fav, sorry, Tyler). She just translates heart to fingers in a way that I think needs more recognition. Seriously Grammy-worthy stuff she is doing lately.
Pete Cottrell always makes things interesting - not just about the shred but layers. Love that guy.
Thanks for introducing me to some new folks too. Love that we are living in a world where this sort of thing is possible.
Pleasure shredding with you dude! The solos were awesome from everybody and really enjoyed the varying styles and techniques! :)
You are my inspiration, dude! Great piece!
Pete Cottrell you da
man
I cant get over the fact that you look like n0thing the CsGo player
Your guitar sings like a trio of angels. Sing > shred.
Crushed it! \m/
Adam’s and Lari’s were just sublime
I KNOW RIGHT????? Lari is INSAAAAAAANE
Lari 10/10. Smoked everyone else.
Sorry but i'm old school, it's all about phrasing! Not NPS. She got it!
Totally agree
Well, her and Adam
Regarding technical skills: she's just perfect, but many others are also great.
About phrasing, no way!! She just smoked everyone else, hands down. Period.
Drtydeeds this aint a competence and in my opinion there were some as good
This proves that just because someone can play fast, doesn’t mean they sound good.
Yes thank you. I couldn't care less of someone can play fast, it still has to sound good.
Murse Life what do you mean? Mor ethan half of them really slowed down and did some of the tastiest lick ive ever heard
Murse Life Tom Quayle’s solo was beautiful and included some really fast points
except for Pete, they ,well, played a million notes per/sec.
Ok boomer
Seeing some pretty heavy cases of guitarist face in this video. Good to know that I am not alone
Lari Basilio seemed like a cross between Guthrie Govan and Nick Johnston. Probably the tastiest solo
@cobycracker I agree
She's really good
True.
@cobycracker yeah that was so epic
Definitely the best sounding solo here.
The dooo
The doooo

Where’s Stevie T?!
I'm so glad you include Adam in this, I love his work
Can we expect more collaborations between you and him?
A boy can only dream
I liked Lari's solo the best.
Agree.
Me too
yup. all others are just trying to prove who's the fastest. while lari is like "lol you got speed, i got soul"
Lari and you had the most tasteful part love the feel and wow can all of you guys play wow just amazing
Oh wow Lari's solo almost made me wanna cry she is so good she made that guitar weep!
Wow Lari Basilio was incredible!
Sergio Moreno. Yes and Chris was awesome also, best shred and melodic combination from both. To much speed and not enough melody from the others, all though that last guy sounded very good as well. 😉
Lari Basilio !!!!!!!!!! Wow..... That girl can play !!!!!!!! Awesome solo !!!
Lari is amazing!! She eats and sleeps guitar!!
How small is she is what I'm wondering. That tele looks giant on her!
She is from the cifra club
GuitarGig Melodies no,she doesnt come from cifra club. the last video was just a interview
I do not know who she is but amongst all the million notes shredding she was a fresh breeze...
I LOVE the whole concept of this video! Tyler thank you so much for putting this together and arranging the entire thing. You introduced me to a couple new players and I am grateful. Thank you.
I always come back to this video for Lari Basilio's solo
SAme here... Lari is so musical
Me too man. She's insane.
Exact reason that I'm here now... What is it? 3 / 4 years later? She's not only stupendously good technically, but she plays like straight out of her heart right to her guitar! Some are saying this solo almost made them cry... Well I'm a big and sturdy guy, but it almost happens to me too!
Her solo is so emotional it brings tears to my eyes
@@TheBassCraze I disagree, technically speaking she’s also brilliant. Just because she doesn’t mega shred doesn’t mean she isn’t technical.
Lari's solo was the tastiest by far.
Completely agree
Everyone else seemed to phone it in. Disappointing.
Agree
True
Yeah loved it! But tbh i listen to tylers directly after and it just blows everything out the park!
Liked for Adam Neely. He has such good videos about music in general and not much of him playing bass, sometimes you just forget that he can play.
How amazing is Lari...Incredible phrasing
bro... as I re-re-re-watch this, I only wish I could upvote it more!
Months later, and I'm a fan of each and every artist in this vid. Absolutely amazing work!!!
LARI BASILIO..HANDS DOWN, THE BEST.
Soumyajit Chowdhury but ADAM NEELY
Absolutely! She was in the zone
Lari Basilio showed what true talent sounds like... no need to be virtuos, just have to love what you're playing. Proud to be brazilian.
1. Lari - so tasty licks, amazing feeling bae
2. Pete Cottrell - killed it, it's something different i love it
3. Bassist - i felt something that was truly amazing
4. Everyone's clearly amazing but these 3 are my favorite here
Lari Basilio, what a feeling!
hey steven, do you know the name of that song? so beautiful
its an improvised solo dude
Lari's sense of melody is mind blowing.
1. Lari Basilio (sheer musicality, expression, technical brilliance very apparent without her trying too hard to show it off)
2. Adam Neely (awesome emotional dynamics, good composition, awesome phrasing/timing ideas, jazzy bits don't stick out like a sore digit)
3. Pete Thorn (the solo just rocks and isn't all that superficially showy, great feeeling and ideas too)
All of them got something going but these three are my favs.
Lari, you just speak with the instrument. All of these players are exceptional and have very distinct styles of expression. I find myself being spoken to by Lari the most. Just awesome!
pete thorn, melodic sense is just so good
Agreed. I liked Tyler and Jared for maintaining a sense of melody in their shredding, but Pete Thorn was definitely the best in this vid (not that it was some sort of Shred War or anything :-D)
His vibrato is so beastly too.
Adam Neely was the best!!! Even managed to throw in the lick... very tasty
Thank you for this opportunity tyler fantastic video we need another video like this! Keep them coming!
Lari Basilio win for best Shred Faces! xD I love seeing the faces people make while jamming in the groove. Idk if its weird but it sure is fun haha Mostly because I cant see my own.
Capn' Pants
We get that guitar mouth going when shredding enters the playing field.
Not sure I want to see my shred face. My resting bitch face is bad enough.
I always tuck my lips in(unintentionally) while playing anything fast, that's as much as I know about my shredding face.
Nice to see Lari Basilio! She's great!
Lari Basilio killed it. I'm surprised I haven't heard about her before.
2:39 that's a nice guitar
NilsD Davie will Holy slap you
😂😂😂😂
He broke 2 strings, so he stayed with 4 and tuned it an octave low
It's a great honor to Brazil to have some of the best guitarists over the World, as Silas Fernandes, Lari Basilio, Mozart Mello (not on UA-cam), Noelle dos Anjos and much more. Great video, Tyler;)
People have already mentioned the obvious names (Rob Scallon, Rob Chapman, Stevie T), so lemme nominate someone else: samuraiguitarist. Tyler, for your next "super jam" collaboration, try getting him please. It would be epic seeing you and him collab.
Fuck why has nobody mentioned him
I have a couple of nominations here:
Takayoshi Ohmura
Shinji "Leda Cygnus" Yuuto
Sarah Longfield
Ichika Nito
No Stevie? NO ROB???
Jaden Pisarczyk perhaps they're not friends
And no Davie504?
WHERE IS ROB???😱😱😱
No Angel Vivaldi either
and the dooo
Lets be honest here, Lari is simply killing it
Fun to watch. Waiting for the next one.
God dammit Lari Basilio has so much creativity and melody in her playing.
Really loved Lari Basilio's solo!!
Yeah i think her's sounded the best! Its something that would stand out in a song
I prefer melodic over shred who is with me
Have to agree with that. Shredding can get a little old in a very short period of time.
Shredding while ignoring the beat is not making music, it's just shredding. The first three or so were annoyingly showing off and not making trying to be artistic.
@@SophiaAphrodite They are all phenomenal guitarists. Just because your mind cannot comprehend and appreciate it doesn't make it "not trying to be artistic". Guys like Tom Quayle aren't even "shredders", you would know if you were even a little bit familiar with his playing. So easy these days to just say "oh look @ me i h8 shred, slow blues 4 lyfe" and fish for likes.
Yeah
@@tanshaomala Funny how you call other people close minded cause they have a different opinion than you. Regardless of what they do in their own channels, the first couple were more technical than melodic, you and I enjoyed them, he didn't enjoy them, amo opinions reserve respect
I really enjoyed the heck out of it. Excellent video
Damn never heard of that chick Lari Basilio before... that piece had a ton of emotion in it especially 3:36 - 3:48
played it like a dozen times made me almost tear up a bit ngl 😂
Pretty sure you've heard of Mateus Asato, keep an ear out for em Brazilian musicians mate... oh and Indonesians too. WOW. Just wow.
my thoughts exactly...her solo stands out in my opinion..her style and technique...her tone..so different...so good
johnny_schwifty.soundcloud exactly what i thought of her playing.😂
I loved her solo. Amazing tone and melodic phrasing is always better to me than shredding for the sake of shredding like the first guy
It's her faces
Lari Basilio got the boys beat.
She got my heart beating
She got a Brazilian Heart Beat;)
Great video and great job for putting this together. Thank you!
How awesome is this!! Totally made my night
No Stevie T? I know he's silly, but, he is crazy good.
Joy Benko
Maybe he couldn't get him or something
Joy Benko he’s the best
He could make a two hour video and still not include everyone.
Joy Benko I was expecting Steve Terry Berry as well... I think he's very very talented, just underrated because he makes those weird faces and is just plain honest.
Hopefully next time!
Sarah Longfield?
Steve Terreberry?
The Dooo?
Rob Scallon?
Kmac?
Kmac
But what about the Sent-down-by-god youtube guitarist Angel Vivaldi? He's got some tasty solos
Tina s
I know
Davie504 too
Adam Neely's solo was like an alchemist's lesson. Deciphering progressions, chords, the elements of making good music were seamlessly tied in with few flair but amazing virtuosity. 10/10.
Music is Win, great compilation of musicians you made here. Hope you can do another one, all of them are at a phenomenal level (including yourself).
Awesome stuff, all of you did a fantastic job...rock on!!
Never heard of Adam Neely but I think as far solos go, his strayed the farthest away from line that everyone was seemingly wanting to shred over.
And that’s a good thing. Very tasty.
TimeGallon he has a huge music channel that takes and teaches pretty much anything.
Plays mostly jazz I think? which wasnt not obvious from his contribution ;)
rob scallon, Stevie t, samurai guitarist and rick Graham must be on part 2.
erock, charlie parra, leo morachiolli
Rabea Massaad, Danish Pete...
Awesome video!! I love how each one makes the difficult look so easy....wow
Where is Stevie T?? 🧐
While all the guests are phenomenally talented I think Lari stole it with taste and emotion with Tyler coming in a close second.
You forgot Adam.
Kevin Becton ADAM NEELY
Oh well, so Stevie T didn’t recall your messages
Well... Good shredding. But the backing Tracks could be more interesting.
you and lari are amazing melody makers !! cheers bro
Lara's feeling and phrasing is exquisite.
Lari Basilio's solo was def my favorite..
Since the title said guitar players, seeing adam neely was a pleasant surprise.
Dred Og Bass *guitar* ....
Yes I am aware of the instrument he plays, I am just saying a lot of people on youtube are the super metal shredder kind of guys who play regular guitar so sometimes the bass guitarists get a little over looked. I am pointing out that I am glad this was not the case this time.
Lari Basilio I'm going directly to your channel NOW!! For me, Lari and Tyler solos are the best musically, they almost got me in tears...
I love it. Great video. Thanks
Wow, Lari was a shock! That was very nice. Her phrasing and tone are killer. I must check out some more of her work! Her solo and Troy Grady's were my favorites! Thanks for the great video!
I honestly think that Lari Basilio kicked those guys asses
I think Adam Neely kicked those guitarist's asses.
decided to come back to this video again! saw it first when it was uploaded 5 years ago! also the vid that introduced me to Lari which was also a great turning point in my guitar playing journey ! thank you MIW for this vid.
And yes even after watching this for the nth time, the only 2 sections I skip to is Lari's and MIW's .. your solo is way to underrated and you should defo use it in your album!
Everyone was unbelievable but I really liked Lari’s take on it. I also liked Pete Thorn and Pete Cottrell playing.
Part 2 needs Bea and Stevie T
PeetLP and Rob Scallon
Austin Moser Yeah of course he too ^^
Definitely
Angel Vivaldi would be awesome too
and leo the metal coverist man (idk his last name)
Every one was super but I realy loved the phrasing of Lari Basilio ... and it is the first time that I see her. Very accurate pitching and exceptional note sellection at the endings of the phrases ...
I saw this on a motorbike video before this video. What does it mean?
Hmm, oh no. UA-cam comments crossover from videos. Error. Your comment appears as :

*appears as.. until I click to comment and it opened the true comment..
Hmm
Lari was my favourite too, aswell as the last guy with the cool blue prs
Hey, great music. You nailed it... bro. A lot of feeling , just what I needed.
I wish there were comments asking about Stevie T.
When the bass player displays more musicality than most of the guitarists.
why be negative about any of this, they are all great musicians. Go cry somewhere else fool.
Adam Neely's musicality is insane. He's unbelievable
Neely ripped
I don't mean to come across as whining, my dude. I'm very familiar with all but a couple of these players, and, as far as my ears can tell, a few of them didn't put as much thought into their playing on this recording as they could have. Before anyone jumps the gun, I'm well aware that I'm not even close to being half the musician any of them are.
I respect your ability to use logic and reason. I was harsh, and for that I appologise. What im saying though is that your ears are subjective... I dont really like gangsta rap, to some its the best shit ever.. there are 7 notes and 12 tones in music, play them one way and some will love it, play them another way and some will hate... its all subjective. :) thank you for your logic and reason and your response, also thank you for your humility, it makes you a fine human in my book :)
Who's that dude at 6:28? He seems the type of guy to rely on distortion and delay to sound good
Some noob
Batman??
Hahahahahhahahaha
Great comment and even better reply :D
Music is Win You should practice; you might get good...
Music is Win Seriously, this is a slice of shredder heaven. Coulda turned into a wankfest but the musicality really shined...
All of you were excellent nice to see a lot of the players i follow and learn from on here thank you!
Tremendous video! Loved them all tho Tom Quayle really stood out for me. I could watch this stuff all day. Thanks!!!
Oh how I love all the people who complain that X was here and Y wasn't... Didn't you hear the explanation at the very end? Or, can't you wrap your head around that people are busy and if Tyler waited to get everybody he invited, he'd wait decades to get everyone's parts? Plus, with people's attention span - how many of you would actually watch a video that's 20 minutes long in full?
As for the video - Pete's playing is to die for, and he really shreds A LOT in this one!
I'm so glad you included Lari Basilo - her playing is just mindblowing. I really like her style - she's not like most of the ladies who rather play fingerstyle and sing some sappy lyrics over that. I am really blown away by her part. So melodic!
And you, Tyler? You were also excellent :) Great tone, melodic approach, those tasty Hendirx-esque bends-that-catch-another-string-and-go-back-down... Bravo!
I'm gonna stick to your channel though, I hope you don't mind :)
Tom
Lari’s tone and feel is soooo good!!!
truly spectacular I loved it
Man, Troy Grady was shredding hard - I could hear every note plucked!
Me too...but Grady's solo was probably the least musical in the context. Just shredding through it without any musicality.
I understand your thoughts. One man's great solo is often another man's trash. For me, there was enough musicality to keep the driving solo very interesting. I like it when solos just beat me over the head and drive me so fast that I can barely keep up or know what is coming next.
love the solo by Chris Zoupa, so melodic
Holy crap I had no idea what a beast Lari Basilio was! Monster tone, killer phrasing!
Wow.. Solid piece of guitar extravaganza! MIND BLOWN!
Delicioso el solo de Lari. Frases frases. Con sentimiento obvio. Buen trabajo!
Adam's solo is underrated. Awesome melody and groove
But where is Mateus Asato? 🤔🤔🤔
surprised only you pointed that out. dude straight up killing it right now
gracias por este increible regalo, todos super guitarristas, un gran esfuerzo de producción, felicidades!
I'm not sure how I've missed this collab all this time, but this is definitely one of the best! Tyler, your part was friggin legendary man!
