What an honor this was. This took over three months to pull together, and I think it was well worth the effort! I catered each section of the backing track to each individual player based on the style I enjoyed hearing them play in the most, and I think the end result is one of the most epic jams of all time. Make sure you subscribe to everyone in this video and give them some love! While I couldn't get every great UA-camr due to schedule conflicts etc., I think this is one of the sickest lineups ever assembled :D
Hey buddy, big fan. How come Rick Graham was not here? Is he not on level with the others, or was it just difficult to get him to participate? Thank you for a great video
Oh no, that's not supposed to happen. Email us at info@hosatech.com to get fixed up with an RA to replace the broken ones you have. We might also be able to help you upgrade to a connector more suitable for the wear and tear you need.
I think Lari won this round. The way the melodies and harmonics combine together, plus the raw emotion that comes from it all is simply something special.
Sergio Moreno. Yes and Chris was awesome also, best shred and melodic combination from both. To much speed and not enough melody from the others, all though that last guy sounded very good as well. 😉
Regarding technical skills: she's just perfect, but many others are also great. About phrasing, no way!! She just smoked everyone else, hands down. Period.
Hearing some Nuno with Tom, that was fun. Lari freakin killed it (my fav, sorry, Tyler). She just translates heart to fingers in a way that I think needs more recognition. Seriously Grammy-worthy stuff she is doing lately. Pete Cottrell always makes things interesting - not just about the shred but layers. Love that guy. Thanks for introducing me to some new folks too. Love that we are living in a world where this sort of thing is possible.
Agreed. I liked Tyler and Jared for maintaining a sense of melody in their shredding, but Pete Thorn was definitely the best in this vid (not that it was some sort of Shred War or anything :-D)
Damn never heard of that chick Lari Basilio before... that piece had a ton of emotion in it especially 3:36 - 3:48 played it like a dozen times made me almost tear up a bit ngl 😂
Never heard of Adam Neely but I think as far solos go, his strayed the farthest away from line that everyone was seemingly wanting to shred over. And that’s a good thing. Very tasty.
Wow, Lari was a shock! That was very nice. Her phrasing and tone are killer. I must check out some more of her work! Her solo and Troy Grady's were my favorites! Thanks for the great video!
bro... as I re-re-re-watch this, I only wish I could upvote it more! Months later, and I'm a fan of each and every artist in this vid. Absolutely amazing work!!!
Every one was super but I realy loved the phrasing of Lari Basilio ... and it is the first time that I see her. Very accurate pitching and exceptional note sellection at the endings of the phrases ...
Exact reason that I'm here now... What is it? 3 / 4 years later? She's not only stupendously good technically, but she plays like straight out of her heart right to her guitar! Some are saying this solo almost made them cry... Well I'm a big and sturdy guy, but it almost happens to me too!

1. Lari Basilio (sheer musicality, expression, technical brilliance very apparent without her trying too hard to show it off) 2. Adam Neely (awesome emotional dynamics, good composition, awesome phrasing/timing ideas, jazzy bits don't stick out like a sore digit) 3. Pete Thorn (the solo just rocks and isn't all that superficially showy, great feeeling and ideas too) All of them got something going but these three are my favs.
Exactly what I was thinking! They put some effort into it , showed off different techniques, and knew when to play a melody and when to spice things up with a pinch of shredding. The rest were more or less all just shredding away without rhyme or reason, although the first guy had a few interesting ideas amidst the shred fest.
Joy Benko I was expecting Steve Terry Berry as well... I think he's very very talented, just underrated because he makes those weird faces and is just plain honest.
You're not crappy at all man believe me, you more than anyone knows that guitar playing is not only a trick of having fast fingers and you showed us that on this video. Keep on working bro you're amazing, big hugs.
1. Lari - so tasty licks, amazing feeling bae 2. Pete Cottrell - killed it, it's something different i love it 3. Bassist - i felt something that was truly amazing 4. Everyone's clearly amazing but these 3 are my favorite here
Lari, you just speak with the instrument. All of these players are exceptional and have very distinct styles of expression. I find myself being spoken to by Lari the most. Just awesome!
Yes I am aware of the instrument he plays, I am just saying a lot of people on youtube are the super metal shredder kind of guys who play regular guitar so sometimes the bass guitarists get a little over looked. I am pointing out that I am glad this was not the case this time.
Adam Neely's solo was like an alchemist's lesson. Deciphering progressions, chords, the elements of making good music were seamlessly tied in with few flair but amazing virtuosity. 10/10. Music is Win, great compilation of musicians you made here. Hope you can do another one, all of them are at a phenomenal level (including yourself).
Lari Basilio win for best Shred Faces! xD I love seeing the faces people make while jamming in the groove. Idk if its weird but it sure is fun haha Mostly because I cant see my own.
I don't mean to come across as whining, my dude. I'm very familiar with all but a couple of these players, and, as far as my ears can tell, a few of them didn't put as much thought into their playing on this recording as they could have. Before anyone jumps the gun, I'm well aware that I'm not even close to being half the musician any of them are.
I respect your ability to use logic and reason. I was harsh, and for that I appologise. What im saying though is that your ears are subjective... I dont really like gangsta rap, to some its the best shit ever.. there are 7 notes and 12 tones in music, play them one way and some will love it, play them another way and some will hate... its all subjective. :) thank you for your logic and reason and your response, also thank you for your humility, it makes you a fine human in my book :)
Shredding while ignoring the beat is not making music, it's just shredding. The first three or so were annoyingly showing off and not making trying to be artistic.

Such an honor to be part of this! Thank you so much Tyler and all the amazing players! And thank YOU for watching! :)

I didn't know your channel but now I'm subbed, you have a lot of feeling
You're the best! Your solo brought tears to my eyes!

By far the best

Be in shred video with insane guitarists ✔️
glad you played "le lick"
Such a pleasant surprise to see you in this video!
Adam you Rock \m/
I don't think they know you play bass, after all, they're metalheads, all they care about is really fast licks.
Now THAT'S a Bass Solo done right!
I don't deserve to be in this list, but thank you so much for having me brother!
Yours was the best though, great job Rob Scallon
Hell yeah you do dude glad to see my favorite youtuber on my other favorite youtubers channel you and Tyler got me into guitar so thank you
Your part was killer Jared!

My dude Adam Neely puttin’ everyone else to shame with the most tasteful solo on here
Knight Rider Just second do Lari
He even threw in the lick
sweet luscious j a z z
That 5/16 over 6/8 section was absolutely bonkers.
-Adam Neely:"Fuck your guitars"
Im pretty surprised to see him here xD
*plays the lick twice in a row*
Adam Neely isn't actually a musician, he's a meme artist. I'm sure if you transcribe this there's a lick from allstar transposed and played backwards.
orphiccoma can you do something better?
I certainly never suggested Adam isn't a talented bass player, just that his ulterior motive is to create dank meta-jokes.
That Lari's solo, she transfers that energy - straight from the heart
Pleasure shredding with you dude! The solos were awesome from everybody and really enjoyed the varying styles and techniques! :)
You are my inspiration, dude! Great piece!

Adam’s and Lari’s were just sublime
I KNOW RIGHT????? Lari is INSAAAAAAANE
Lari Basilio seemed like a cross between Guthrie Govan and Nick Johnston. Probably the tastiest solo
@cobycracker I agree
She's really good
True.
@cobycracker yeah that was so epic
Definitely the best sounding solo here.
Omg Lari’s solo. Took me to a different world
LARI BASILIO..HANDS DOWN, THE BEST.

Absolutely! She was in the zone
Lari Basilio, what a feeling!

Rabea Massaad, Danish Pete...
Lari Basilio !!!!!!!!!! Wow..... That girl can play !!!!!!!! Awesome solo !!!
Lari is amazing!! She eats and sleeps guitar!!
