For the new and older subscribers before buying anything wait a few days to a week because I bet he will find something better and cheaper lol. I figured that out after watching a few of the videos. I have saved a lot of money so that's the best part lol
I absolutely agree, and I'm surprised that Scott did not mention that because this is a gel you will use a lot more of this product to cover the same surface area as you would with a thinner product that would be applied as a mist
Man this guy rocks...so i was going to buy the IronX until i came across your video a while back. i finally purchased a bottle and I used it yesterday and let me tell you IT WORKS. 10 bucks at Walmart and it did its job. purple purple, it took off 97% of contaminants which i completed with clay bar but it did its job. thanks boss man.
Just sprayed down my lower passenger door and fender and WOW! Lots and lots of metal on the paint....Now i need to let it break down smaller and clay the whole car! Thanks Scott!!
Scott, just tried the product on my Tuxedo Black Ford Expedition. Must admit I was bit scared on trying it on the dark paint since I wasn't going to be able to see the brake dust fade easily, but let me tell you once I started seeing the purple stuff drip down and watching everything fade with a good water hose rinse, the results were beyond expectations. Just had to hand wash it after and apply a bit of more pressures to the sponge. After that just to be more satisfied, threw some dry wash wax and maaannnn my car is new. So thankful to come across your post, I couldn't wait weeks for the Iron X to resolve this huge problem. Eternally grateful, take car from Puerto Rico ! People listen to this guy!!!😂😂😂
John Castro well John, at first that got me worried as well from the beginning so I masket out my tail lights and emblems. Should have done the running boards but they are so big I got lazy. Anyway just sprayed the hell out of that bottle and rinse it completely off. My black plastic running boards and rear trim didn't feel a thing nor fade
muchas gracias boricua. i have a black Honda civic and was wondering the same thing. as long as i can see it drip that works for me. and also as long as you rinse from what i researched you shouldn't have an issue with damage.
Scott, you've got several fans, including myself, on Autogeek and I passed the info along about Megs MB wheel cleaner and it was mentioned as being too weak, I don't agree with that completely. I will use it come spring when I do ALL the prep work prior to applying a new coating to my car from TAC systems. I will let it dwell and then foam the car down to rinse it away AND to wash the car afterwards.
I did the mistake of spraying Meguiar's all wheel cleaner when the paint wasn't cool and I got water marks..I went on to use griots correcting cream and finishing sealant..They went away initially but when I exposed it to the sun they came back..Any advise
Is is recommended to dilute Meg All Wheel Cleaner before spraying it on your paint since it is so thick? This way you can stretch your dollar even more.
Thanks scott for another awesome video. I have a question. Thankyou in advance for taking the time reading this and i'll appreciate you more for any response. In another video you recommended purple power as a soap to remove wax, sealants and traffic film. My question to you is because this product is ph neutral would you recommend using it to remove traffic film, industrial fallout and other bonded contaminants in between wax applications rather than purple power every wash which strips waxes and sealant every wash? Again if you read all the way through this thankyou and looking forward to your response
@@chasew.l.5808 I've heard Wilson say Meg's Wheel Brightner for water spots. This is safe on the paint, so I don't see why it won't work. Just not an acid like WB, so might not be as good.
This is awesome Scott. I watched your previous megs video and was already looking to purchase that one. But will give this one a try instead since it may be cheaper and easier to find. One thing I noticed you didn’t mention is plastic trim. In the previous video you mentioned to be careful about spraying it and avoiding plastic trim. Should we use the same precautions with this product as well?
THanks for the video! how long do you think we should leave the stuff on the paint before washing it off? I find if i leave it more then 3 mins on my toyota rims it stains it
The same goes for other brands like Bilt Hamber. Their wheel cleaner (Auto-wheel) is the same as their iron remover (Korrosol) except is formulated to stick a bit longer. Bilt Hamber has the best iron remover in the world. You probably won't get that from Europe?
Hi Scott great channel, very informative. How many times can you apply this stuff. I recently bought a white car and was horrified to find these light brown spots but after a little research I learned it wasn't such a big deal. I applied it 3 times waiting 3.5 to 4 minutes each time but it didn't remove all of the spots. Wondering if claying would do it.
Scott, I have a black Lexus LS with water spots on the roof. I have seen a few videos that show using a 1:5 dilution of Meguires Hot Wheel Cleaner and water sprayed on a cloth to wipe off water spots. It looks similar to this video on the white car. Is it true that I can try removing water spots with wheel cleaner diluted? If so, do I need to do more than wipe it off to make sure it does not damage the paint?
Adam’s wheel cleaner also works great on paint. It’s a gel like substance as this product is. Except Adam’s is 14.99 and then you have to pay shipping. Think I’ll try the Megs out after my wheel cleaner bottle is empty. Thanks Scott.
Any experience using this on motorcycle wheels with cadmium coated spokes (chrome hoops)? I asked Meguiars and they say they don't know. I know its not a wheel video but if anyone would know it seems like it'd be you. Thanks
Scott have u tried wheel brightener as a iron x etc. Alternative? I've heard other pro detailers do it. I haven't tried myself but have u experimented? If so does it react? I have however used it countless times on the paint for instant water spot removal
Thanks was looking too see what’s New for cleaning wheels n your video on it is gonna work perfect on my old F 250 Black 4 door to clean her paint so she’ll shine even better. Peace Out ✌🏻
Hey Scott I just used this and my white truck bleed purple, I let set for 5 minutes then power wash some spots still visible, do again? or clay bar? what can I do? want it all gone! ! previous owner drove with bad caliper
Thank you 🙏 I was about to order iron x but was thinking on the price , that it was too much. Then I came across your video just minutes before ordering iron x . And with that money I can buy plenty of the Me... ultimate cleaner
Nice video again sir...congrats... I am huge fan of the channel!!!! As i watching a.past video with the....bed seats and.paint correction wich you axplained the order.of your enterior detai steps!!!!! .. I was thinking some.times to show as, how your mind visualizes the car and cutting every section in 2 by 2 aerias to make correction. As.example the hood 2 orizontial and 4 2-2 sections??..the roof maybe.8 sections the fender...i dont.know how your mind thinking and divining a fender in 2-2 aerias...it will be nice ti show ad.you you mind works for the.best result divining the car.into section for.correction.......thanks Scott for your passion...kind regards from.Athena Greece
In your video regarding Meguiars Mirror Bright and using it on paint, you said that you need to be careful with Mirror Bright on plastic trim Is that the same with this product?
Thanks for that response. I've been reading all these comments looking for your answer about plastic trim. I'm excited to give this a try on a white car with black trim.
Thanks Scott. And a happy 2018 to you.. unfortunately for me, maguiars ultimate wheel cleaner has not made its way to florida and i have a black vehicle. Would you say that a 5 min contact time would be enough on the paint with this product? Or should i just stick with claying since i have a black vehicle?
Ha, I just bought some of this wheel cleaner, sprayed it on the wheels and immediately thought of ironX, glad to know that I can use it like ironX and it's so much cheaper, great video bud!!!
that depends on how the car is used..no i don't think every wash would be needed but perhaps one or two times a year would be fine for most..iron will build up on the paint around wheel areas because of the rotors and pads and on flat panels and rear of vehicle and you can check from time to time by lightly touching the paint just after washing and when the car is still wet, you may feel little deposits that can't be seen with the eye but felt with your fingers as the paint is wet
Scott, I know you're high energy, but as a Speech Instructor I teach my students to speak slower and work a pause into your presentation for emphasis. It's more enjoyable to your listener's ear and easier on your vocal cords. You don't want to cheapen your presentation especially with the hard work you put in on these top notch videos. I was introduced to your videos through my students. I have learned a lot from you. Thanks.
Is it normal for it to leave yellow spots on my rear discs? I drove a good 10km with some hardish stopping and theres a pretty loud noise when I come to a full stop and not all of it has rubbed off.
Dear Scott i have info for your..as i am one if them....European fans... Valet pro dragins breath product is the same as megs. It is like jel and have this..red liquid effect to the iron contaminations and the cost it is aprox to 15euro for 1lt-33oz.....also the korosoll of britemax but not jel......
Haha Im just seeing your video for the first time and i just used this last week to remove fallout, 24 oz for 8 bucks at walmart!! I read the label and it says it is safe for painted brakes make sure you read the labels when using wheel cleaner for paint. Same effect as fallout cleaners.
Honestly Scott's videos are the most informative vids. The best on UA-cam honestly
David Saucedo 25k subbies can't be wrong 😉
Foreal.. he does have a big following and this is why
For the new and older subscribers before buying anything wait a few days to a week because I bet he will find something better and cheaper lol. I figured that out after watching a few of the videos. I have saved a lot of money so that's the best part lol
tip for using this on paint, put the liquid into another spray bottle with a bigger spray saves so much product.
I absolutely agree, and I'm surprised that Scott did not mention that because this is a gel you will use a lot more of this product to cover the same surface area as you would with a thinner product that would be applied as a mist

Scott Bly, saving detailers dollars one video at a time
much love Victor and thank you for your support:)
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing And thank you for your time and great tips! Thanks for the love, right back at ya!
Read the label not all are safe
@No Name wheel brightener does not remove ferrous fallout

Did any of this get on your plastic trim? That is one of my concerns about using this for my truck. Thanks.
John Castro well John, at first that got me worried as well from the beginning so I masket out my tail lights and emblems. Should have done the running boards but they are so big I got lazy. On the black paint did it take the water spots off to?
muchas gracias boricua. i have a black Honda civic and was wondering the same thing. as long as i can see it drip that works for me. and also as long as you rinse from what i researched you shouldn't have an issue with damage.
Tried it this weekend and works just described for nearly half the price! Only if they sold it in bulk would Meguiars have a true winner in my books.
Scott, you've got several fans, including myself, on Autogeek and I passed the info along about Megs MB wheel cleaner and it was mentioned as being too weak, I don't agree with that completely.

thank you for sharing!! was looking for an iron remover, now willl use this for pre paint correction in the future
I think the product speaks for itself thanks Scott for bringing it to the channel and making us aware,
I did this today and wow it worked good thanks for the heads up love the page. Got this for 8 bucks at Walmart.
This plus clay bar is the only thing that worked for overspray on my car
Keep it for your Facebook audience. Company’s are discovering your following power , thus raising the price on anything you recommend.

I wonder if it removes hard water spots.
hi scott , can I use this product to remove hard water spots on the hood of the car
I’m wondering that as well, have you found any evidences?
@@chasew.l.5808 I've heard Wilson say Meg's Wheel Brightner for water spots. This is safe on the paint, so I don't see why it won't work. Just not an acid like WB, so might not be as good.

Thank you for this amazing video. What do you use for wheel cleaner?
Your a big help with product reviews. Thank you so much. Please keep it going
Mcguiars always come out with top products tbh
Thanks Scott, was just about to order some Iron x to decon my ride. $$$ saved!
Hi scott , When using the iron x or this meguiars product to you use it on entire car and do you rinse off before washing car.
We just got this product at our store and I can't wait to try it!! good video btw.
awesome you just saved me some money. thanks for your videos this is my favorite UA-cam channel.
i think you're awesome as well Eric:)...thank you for the kind words
No more iron x
Iron X is just so darn expensive!
THanks for the video! how long do you think we should leave the stuff on the paint before washing it off? I find if i leave it more then 3 mins on my toyota rims it stains it
Any response?
I really like how it sticks nicely with the foam. Thats why i like the nanoskin iron remover. Have you tried the meguiars iron remover?
The same goes for other brands like Bilt Hamber. Their wheel cleaner (Auto-wheel) is the same as their iron remover (Korrosol) except is formulated to stick a bit longer. Bilt Hamber has the best iron remover in the world. You probably won't get that from Europe?
Scott love your videos! Unbiased opinions and great tips!
Thanks for saving me money. You're the man Scott.

For follow up reasons, has there been any paint damage at all? I got some and it works great on wheels
This is safe for paint if rinsed off appropriately. Consider that this is "ALL WHEEL" and most wheels are painted wheels.
Does it get water spots off?
Thank you! Your amazing and your long vids are welcome!!! Keep talking bruh!!!
Adam’s wheel cleaner also works great on paint. It’s a gel like substance as this product is. Except Adam’s is 14.99 and then you have to pay shipping. Think I’ll try the Megs out after my wheel cleaner bottle is empty. Thanks Scott.
Already ordered a 22oz bottle of Mirror bright wheel cleaner from Autopia with free shipping
Great video! I'm a bit curious what product you use for your wheels
meguiars wheel brightener is my pick on wheels
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing Okay, I'll make sure to check that out! I've been hearing good things about it
How you doing? What do you use for a wheel cleaner? And where can I buy it? Thanks you
Another great video Scott!!! 👍🏼 👍🏼
Any experience using this on motorcycle wheels with cadmium coated spokes (chrome hoops)? I asked Meguiars and they say they don't know. I know its not a wheel video but if anyone would know it seems like it'd be you. Thanks

Would you recommend this or the mirror bright? Which works better as a iorn remover do u think? Thanks
Another nice video Scott you are Awesome
Love your channel, thinking outside of the box as always. I will be trying this out.
What if this doesnt work? How can I get rid of the spots that are still on the paint?
Hey Scott I just used this and my white truck bleed purple, I let set for 5 minutes then power wash some spots still visible, do again? or clay bar? what can I do? want it all gone! ! previous owner drove with bad caliper

Is this product the same as Meguiar's Wheel & Paint Iron Decon
no
Stuff works awesome on chrome and very very rusty metals
In your video regarding Meguiars Mirror Bright and using it on paint, you said that you need to be careful with Mirror Bright on plastic trim Is that the same with this product?
yes...ALL iron removers in my opinion including iron x shouldn't be used on plastic trim
Thanks for that response. I've been reading all these comments looking for your answer about plastic trim. I'm excited to give this a try on a white car with black trim.
Since you state that these chemicals are not safe for plastics/trim, how would you protect the plastic trim like on this vehicle in the video ?
put a wheel cleaner on the body ?
Gee. You saved me a ton of time and money. I thought I had to have Iron X. Thumbed and subbed
What do you recommend for cleaning painted clear coat factory wheels? Chevy Impala ltz 2016
This would work great for that. You can also use Wheel & Tire Cleaner in the purple bottle.
Thank you for another insightful video. Another great idea!
Has anyone used this to remove water spots on the paint?

My fav product that they have is the hyper dressing
Might have missed this, but how often do you want to use this on the paint? Every wash, every season?

Yes

lol...do you think i do this because I'm trying to win an award!..im a NEW YORKER and we talk faster than most, just try to keep up silly:)
Dan Fulcher , that's exactly how l speak , slowly and with pauses and people walk away. Are you sure that this is the best way to speak?
Thank you for all your videos 👍
Is it normal for it to leave yellow spots on my rear discs? I drove a good 10km with some hardish stopping and theres a pretty loud noise when I come to a full stop and not all of it has rubbed off.
So what's a better wheel cleaner?
it is also used on paint and clear coat? a bit like iron x, tar x etc. ..? removes iron as well as tar as carpro trix?
Question do YOU Scott bley only use iron removers on bottom of quarter panels or all over
Can you remove the iron particles on black paint. I never see anyone talk about it
How about Black Magic All wheel cLeaner.? Will it do the same.? Much cheaper..
So you spray this stuff on first before pre-rinse and wash?
loved it. thanks for all the tips and tricks. saving the common man dollars not cents
When is it coming to Canada? OMGGG!!
Would Sonax wheel cleaner plus work the same? Because the 5 liter cost $80 at Amazon and would end up being cheaper than this.
Will this also take hard water spots off?

So it will work on my 2007 compass jeep
Scott have you tried simple green wheel cleaner I love it
Does the ultimate all wheel cleaner work for water spots on the Windows ?

Safe on plastic and rubber?
Thankyou Scott.
