You are flying the super libra base as well? Love the monster tech solution as well. I know it is tough on shipping cost for poeple outside europe! :-( Love your vids by the way.!!!
Monstertech has always had some incredibly slim and sturdy designs. Originally I bought them to support my Warthog HOTAS rig and when I switched to Virpil I just ordered the mounting plates and done. Their only downside is the shipping from Germany made the plates 3x the price. They need to open a North American outlet to alleviate the extreme shipping costs from Europe.
From these reviews, I've spent just as much on Monstertech as I have on my VKB sticks and my logitech throttle. I was worried about hitting the mounts or sticks with my chair and damaging things. But after getting in the real solid VKB sticks and the unbreakable Monstertech mounts, I'm confident I will either break the chair or tempered glass table before the sticks or mounts break. Monstertech is worth every penny.
Not only is that mounting solution very nice.! But that custom chrome is 🤯👌 and or amazing.! And of course your view is second to none.! Excellent analysis. Great video.!👍👍

I don't own that monster of a throttle but I am glad you didn't just shove it but pursued it and got results, I'm sure someone will be glad they have a proper mount for that now.
I bought dual chair mounts for my joysticks from monstertech. They work great and I love them. Way more sturdier than the PVC setup I had with my old chair. If you can afford to buy you a set. I highly recommend Monstertech.
Eyeing that Winwing set for so long now. Love the fact it has optional yaw on stick. Is this a revision or did someone custom made the chrome finish? About the mounting solution.... I'd make a small cabinet on wheels and drop the throttle in there, leaving enough space below it to stash the joystick itself, and roll it under the table when not in use.
#TheNoobifier0001 Sweeeet! That thing needs A SERIOUS metal stand under it for stability. Monster Tech's solution was far better but still shaky due to the items weight and the stability of whatever it is being attached to. I still think it needs a ground up metal legs with full collar surround to hold it rock solid regardless of the desk its being used by. Thanks for sharing! :)
Man, Monstertech makes such a great quality product. It may be a little pricey for some but it's worth it. I bought my mounts for a Warthog HOTAS years ago and I never regretted it.
Seems very nice and solid solution. Now I have not looked at what their prices are, but once upon a time I thought that major brand PC cases like Lian Li or Mountainmods are expensive - until I built my own custom PC case ;) Even if they charge few hundred for such a mount it is probably cheaper than what you would pay for fully custom stuff that does the same job.
Hey Noobifier, do you use a mapping tool for all your joysticks? And if yes, can you tell me which? One of my joysticks are always input 5 which i cant configure...
Monstertech is the best! I started with Foxxmounts, which are excellent. When I got my Virpil stick I went with Monstertech and they are heavier duty and make a lot of options. Great review Noob!
Love this sort of review. Theirs nothing worst than worrying about controller movement or falling and damage whilst use. The original mounts don't look fit for their purpose, the MonsterTech solution looks solid & robust, a definite improvement.

@@NOOBIFIER1337 Thats a fair comment, i was just looking at new throttle unit for my cockpit sim build, (DCS &SC). Just general things like quality, software implantation and ease to bind different games. List of inputs. All can be done with a caveat of a 'pre release' model. Most people willing to spend this kind of money are normally able to do the joined up thinking that caveats come with unknowns. But maybe just a first impressions and list of key features to keep it short and sweet for now. @@NOOBIFIER1337 Hey Noob. thank you for replying. In your mounting installation the left hand controls ( switches, toogles and spit throttles ) were mounted horizontally and parallel with the floor. My question is: can the left hand control platform be installed at a 20-30 degree incline where the front of the control panel closest to the desk is higher and slopes at an adjustable angle back towards the operator. It seems to me if the left hand flight controls and throttles were angled in this way it would be much easier to access during intense flight situations and easier to train muscle memory and if necessary a quick glance at those controls would be in line of sight for the pilot quicker than looking 90 degrees down for the proper switch or toogle.

nice . You still havnt reviewed the winwing though. :) But at least you've provided a solution for mounting. Though in your vid you've mounted the throttle on your monster big solid table 3 inches thick :) . not a particle/ chip board table like many of us are using. So it looks like we still have a problem. It can be more solidly mounted but the weakness is the amount of leverage given to your table. Which now becomes the weak link. With that thing hanging almost 2 feet in the air beyond the table. The leverage is going to rip any table not made of solid beams or metal to bits. If your a DCS player absolutely obsessed with the FA18 this might be for you. Otherwise save your money. get a Hog throttle. mod that crap ministick it has and get a nice VKB grip to go with it. Thats a setup you can use without regrets and it wont buckle your table :)
Allan Thanks for the comment. I haven’t reviewed the HOTAS because I am not convinced it is ready to be sold. I don’t like telling people to spend $800 unless I am sure it is the right time. Physics are such that I believe the throttle should actually never be mounted to a small desk. It’s not an issue of the desk or the mount, but the type of load. The throttle IMO should be redesigned or sold only to be used on a sim pit. Again, all of this feedback was recently sent to WinWing and they are ghosting me.
Here's to hoping they create a decent system for quick pop out/hide away mounts. I have dual stick but have not found a great setup for switching between dual stick for flight and MKB first person in Star Citizen. If they created a mount that could retract or slide out of the way (maybe laterally) when needing to exit the pilot seat and switch to mouse and keyboard, I'd be all over it. It would also be nice to hide the dual stick when playing games that require MKB that don't have a flight component, but I don't want the hassle of unmounting the mounting hardware. I dunno.
You wouldn't want this kind of thing for SC. Virpil gear is WAYY more than sufficient for SC. I have two Virpil products I don't even use for SC, only sims like DCS. The Winwing hotas is a direct F-18 replica, so it's for serious fighter jet sim enthusiasts.
