I plan on getting a new chair, better joystick/hotas and a way to mount them to my chair. I appreciate all of the reviews you have done on the joysticks and table/chair mounting systems, they have guided me to what I think is the best setup for me.

I JUST received my Virpil ConAlphas today and mounted them to my writing desk converted to a computer desk with Monster tech mounts you recommend on this channel. I LOVE the setup. The desk itself is a DIY adventure where I installed a dual arm monitor mount (drilled thru), installed a TV wall mount bracket underneath the desk on 4x4x12 stud boards that I attached with bookshelf brackets, and I mounted my ThermalTake case to it. I've actually using this kind of setup for a while, it is awesome. The Swivel release makes it so I can attach or remove my HOTAS in 30 seconds. Especially handy no with the work from home situation. Now I'm in the process of upgrading to VirPil I only need to buy some new mounting plates. The only "complaint" I have is; the mouse extension plate has a little bit of leeway, but it is minimal.
So the twin Monstertech chair mounts with swivels arrived. Excellent build quality as Noobifier said. My Nitro S300 chair did not require the under seat bar adapter. VKB Gunfighter Space Mk3 also arrived coincidently on the same day as Monstertech chair mounts, which was awesome. VKB stick looks of great quality, mounted to Monstertech platform which looks good and functions as advertised. The Cdn to US exchange rate, duties and shipping do crank the cost up on this rig. Still definitely happy with the overall setup. Now to decide on which stick or throttle for left chair mount...
Steve B i appreciate you coming back and providing feedback. Even though the chair did not require the central bar, I believe you would find it adds so much more rigidity if used.

I am absolutely happy with my monstertech chair mounts and breakaways. It is not a cheap solution but like virpil you get what you pay for. Thank you for always making great and clean videos depicting both monstertech and virpil by far the best videos around without any doubt!!
I've had my eye on these for a while. Good to see they are refining them even more. My L shaped ikea gallant desk doesn't work too well for mounting desk mounted joysticks. These seemed like a solid solution for solving my problem.

By the time I was finished I figured out that I could have spent that time working OT and that would have more than paid for monster tech's mounts. I'm lucky in having very easily accessible OT, and making my own was definitely more fun... but I'm still planning to buy monster tech's mounts when I finally upgrade my old sticks and throttle to a full virpil kit, because there's a lot to be said for the finish when you're an adult trying to make his big man toys fit into an otherwise respectable home. id worry more about the seat of the chair with those 4 extensions being the only contact points with the base, instead of the base being flush against the seat. Id rather a see a more universal base plate, which should be doable because most chairs use similar 4 bolt designs. looks great though.
I couldn't tell from their website but do they have chair mounts that work on chairs where the arm screws are on the side, not underneath? Without having to buy the underneath mounting plate?
This the best for open world sim game like star citizen, i hate having my joystick in front of me while i'm on ground, the only complaint is that it hard to find a compatible chair that isn't 300€ and more
So. I bought the chair mounts and plates for the T1000ks. I am now upgrading to Virpil Constelations. Is there a way I can get them to just ship me the new mounting plate? I don't personally see that option on the website, and I don't want to buy 2 brand new full mounts when all I need is the plate.

Oh, and I got GameGlass on your code, I'm pretty happy with it! And last week I had the Constellation Alpha (R) grip in my checkout, and while the website was slowly trying to process my order they ran out! Very sad about that! One of these days I'll get it!

Their deskmounts are great, but insanely overpriced. Happy for you to see you got a contract with Monstertech. Definitely a cool company to have in your friends list.

@@NOOBIFIER1337 No, it is not silly. I got this chair and it is great. But I can only sit comfortable, If it is on lowest. Got short legs, but I am not even that short with 1,72m. For many people it will likely Not matter, but for smaller ones it certainly does.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Sure that is a possible Solution. Monstertech describes the Issue on the Webpage too. SKind of just wanted to make people like me with short legs or even just smaller people to be aware to check that.
Let's make some approximate accounting: Ikea Chair: 160 € Monstertech Mount: 270 € Virpil Base + Grip: 500 € Bending and stretching knees (sitting on chair after an hour session): Pleasant and healthy Banging your joystick against table desk at high speed: Priceless (interesting idea but after looking at the marks on the front of the side rests I'd be scared to mount anything precious in front of them ) :-DDD
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I just checked the price of that Ikea Markus chair in local Ikea. But knowing how I ride those chairs when my legs start itching, I'd be really afraid about the life of those exposed joysticks. Maybe Monstertech should also add a bumper :-)
Things are sold separately. iMO to be sure you get exactly what you need, please contact them with a list of what you have and tell them what you are trying to do.
I am trying to create a solution to add a structure for, around, under, and over my $8k massaging recliner. I need the massaging constantly due to my medical conditions involving spinal injuries 30 years ago and degeneration which result in nerve issues in my upper back and shoulders. The issues result in muscle cramps, tension, and mitigate the resulting inflammation (which pinches the nerves down my arms). It sucks, completely. The chair helps a lot, though. So, I need to create a solution which is designed around the massive massaging recliner chair so don't have to stop working/playing constantly to go use the chair. I believe I must build it all to rest on a platform, chair and all. I need two or three monitors (i dream of a super widescreen under two other monitors) mounted to the underplatform and suspended over the chair. I envision the monitors swinging into position, up or to the side, so the monitors are out of the way to get seated or get out of the chair. Simpler to have my personal (gaming) PC off to the side of the chair and also mounted on the wheeled underplatform everything sits upon. That way the only cord involved is a single thick power cord which powers everything to plug into from the platforms big power strip ideally with surge supression. Other mounted needed items on this monstrosity are: a laptop holding mount for a WFH company laptop. I already have and use a keyboard/mouse/monitor switch and cables to switch from my personal (gaming) PC to the laptop for 'working mode.' A drink holder and adjustable surface for miscellaneous objects like reference mooks or snacks would be good. Keyboard and mouse platforms which can be adjusted easily and be swung out of the way to get up. Finally, mounts like are shown in this video review for 'simpit mode' for my HOSAzS, which can be also moved out of position when not being used. I can share my concept blueprints and ideas if you (or Monstertech) are interested. There is no provider out there with a solution like this and it is quite the engineering challenge. A huge project. I hope to use as much Monstertech as I can for my much-needed solution. They look like the real deal. Thanks again for all the great reviews and content you provide.

@@NOOBIFIER1337 No, it is not silly. I got this chair and it is great. But I can only sit comfortable, If it is on lowest. Got short legs, but I am not even that short with 1,72m. For many people it will likely Not matter, but for smaller ones it certainly does.
Had you considered checking amazon for lower profile wheels or an optional shorter gas shock?
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Sure that is a possible Solution. Monstertech describes the Issue on the Webpage too. SKind of just wanted to make people like me with short legs or even just smaller people to be aware to check that.
@@Kelsar1981 Footstool my friend...
This is a much more attractive solution for me.
Let's make some approximate accounting:
Ikea Chair: 160 €
Monstertech Mount: 270 €
Virpil Base + Grip: 500 €
Bending and stretching knees (sitting on chair after an hour session): Pleasant and healthy
Banging your joystick against table desk at high speed: Priceless
(interesting idea but after looking at the marks on the front of the side rests I'd be scared to mount anything precious in front of them ) :-DDD
The chair was the one my wife used in her office for years. I just used it to test this setup.
@@NOOBIFIER1337 I just checked the price of that Ikea Markus chair in local Ikea.
But knowing how I ride those chairs when my legs start itching, I'd be really afraid about the life of those exposed joysticks. Maybe Monstertech should also add a bumper :-)
The sticks can be rotated away when not in use. It’s pretty hard to break stuff in that position
im confused does the order come with just one mounting thing?...im pretty sure i need 2 joy sticks not just one
Things are sold separately. iMO to be sure you get exactly what you need, please contact them with a list of what you have and tell them what you are trying to do.
Which Controller should i choose, if i have a Virpil base? There is no Virpil option :/
Which Gimbal did you have MT50 or WarBrd? They are listed as VPC
TheNOOBIFIER1337 Oh. Thank you!
That racing rig looks soooo nice, also very expensive. What monitor is that?
The monitor is a 49” 32:9 LG... I did a couple of videos
Noobifier what is that macro pad you have on the left of your laptop?
It is a streamdeck. I have done some videos. Search for "MSFS Stream Deck Noobifier"
Which notebook is that at minute 0:21?
Maingear Element
My ratty computer chair is not worthy of this engineering marvel
Is that a 3d printed throttle you have next to you mac?
It’s called a “Move Master”
Had you thought bout attaching the chair to MTS. Bolt it to where the flight chair is supposed to go?
Next level 😎🍻
Is there enough expand ability for duel sticks and throttle?
Yes.
Simple, visual, informative and short. Thanks for the review. ;)
Do you feel that plate under the seat?
Negative, there is clearance of about 3mm
The issue I have, is their regular mounts cost more than my actual joystick... so yea...
Won’t ever need to buy another mount for your lifetime
@@NOOBIFIER1337 Dont doubt that, just a lot of money :/
