Love the captain's head right against the bbq 😂
The interior looks very old-fashioned, with all those hard edges and tacky chrome, like a trendy apartment in a 1970s movie.
Yes, very much this! Welcome to my fingerprint magnet.
I do like powercats!
Great tour as always Alex.
As Jack had pointed out, not sure about the privacy on the day heads 🤣
Funny you should say that. For me, the privacy of the day heads is a strength because it's accessed from the side deck rather than the saloon. Just tested an Astondoa AX8, where the same kind of day heads was accessed directly from the main deck dining area, which would inevitably involve a whole load of diners pretending not to have seen or heard a thing!
I can respect the clarity and commitment to a design point of view. It isn't to my taste but a lot of boats aren't. You missed to point that the day head door is transparent, so not a lot of privacy there - but we'll assume that was an Ooops. Still, it doesn't speak well of the Quality Control - you really need to make sure you have the right kinds of doors. The crew cabins seemed somewhat miserly - but a lot of cats do also.
Great review - really well worth a watch. For me, cats are always a disappointment on the main deck internal space and this one is no exception. It looks cluttered and lacks the finesse and/or elegance or the proportions of a monohulls internal space. Sure the outside spaces are big and plentiful but I think the interior is compromised, and to make the only helm station singularly unsociable seems quite a big design flaw. Also on the fly deck, it's obviously massive yet the centre is allocated to the wet bar and the dining table is pushed off to one side almost as an afterthought. It's a good looking boat but I don't think the interior design or layout is there yet.
Only just started watching, but that drone work at the start is fantastic, whoever it may be that did it.
The guy with the bag wandering into shot at 5:30 just has to be German…. God bless him
Very beautiful cat..nice 👍 video
That draft messurement can not be correct if it is I would be seriously afraid of a large port or starboard side straight or angled wave, a sea keeper at least 6 to a 9 would be strongly suggested
Fantastic looking, space and a great platform. But from then on it's all design over everything. Who wants to pilot a boat on the flybridge when none of your family or friends can sit with you? And with a bbq rammed against the back of your head? If its a chilly Mediterranean evening you could always stand in the middle of the main interior space with all the lights off so you've got some night vision? Why does expensive italian loose deck furniture look so flimsy and crappy. You dont even have place anywhere to rest a drink if your sat forward or aft outside.
I'm sure people with far more money than me will buy this designer dock jewellery for some reason.
Is it just me that doesn't get it??
I'd go a used San Lorenzo SX76 for $1M less. I'd imagine a Prestige ages less better than a San Lorenzo - in 10 years, the (older) San Lorenzo will sell equal, or higher, than this lovely, massive machine.. plus you can go 2-3kt's faster lol
Also, if you're caught in seas tough in enough to make the brown come out (It's Category A rated), then you've gotta go outside to do your business??
It's a critical point you make. After all, if the price bracket puts this boat directly up against 80-footers from established players at the upper echelons of the market, you could reasonably argue that there is little point in opting for 65-footer that boasts the space of an 80-footer at all.
Just okay.
