    Hi there, thanks for the video! I'm really happy with the slider and can recommend it. There is however, one problem with it that you can also witness in the video. When you want the camera to pan left and right (or "track") you obviously put the middle bar at an angle as explained in the video. That works as intended when the slider is level.
    If you try doing the same thing during a crane shot it doesn't work properly beacause the ball head tilts backwards and forwards so your picture changes in a vertical direction. If you look in the video at 7:41 the camera itself is actually pointing upwards. By the time it has reached the other end it is pointing downwards. That should not be happening. It is supposed to only pan from left to right.
    Now, as I said I can highly recommend the slider but that is a problem I haven't found a workaround for yet but also I don't understand why it is doing that and where the construction error lays. Neither fastening nor loosening one of the screws on the ball head makes it get rid off it.

      From 6:24 seconds in the video, it can be seen that the center rod of the slider is not at the level of the 0 scale, so it is rotating during operation and the lens cannot be kept horizontal for shooting. You just need to adjust the two ends of the center rod of the slider to 0 Scale , the problem can be resolved.

      @@NeewerOfficial Thanks for your reply! But that is exactly what I intended to say; when doing a crane shot you can't keep the lens horizontal if you want to be tracking the object as well. If you want to do a crane shot and avoid having the camera changing its vertical point of focus you must keep the center rod at 0 on both ends.

      @cerveza gratuita I see what you're talking about. I think the issue is that when you orient the camera to be level on an angled track you have to angle the ball head as well. The plate that the ball head is mounted to will swivel when you are using the "tracking shot" mode, so if the camera is angled on the ball head mount it will seem to move up/down slightly as the plate swivels. Personally I actually like this because I love using the slider for product shoots where this slight movement really works as an additional way to track the subject, but I definitely see your point.

      @@matttthorne Thank you for getting in touch! That sounds like a good explanation. Initially I thought that only the table the ball head is mounted on to is turning instead of the head itself. But as you say it seems that the ball head is forced to move with it and therefore tilts when the plate swivels.

      @@matttthorne Yes, because they are two different functions, tracking shoting and parallel photography. You can shorten the running distance if you want to avoid moving up/down of the lens when using the "tracking shot" mode. It will make the movement not so obvious.

    When trying this dolly pan motion myself with my 120cm slider, i get a lot of jitters as the camera rotates, how can I eliminate that?

    The setting gear icon is not in the app and so how does calibration happen?
    Also how do I make the belt more taut ?

    • @NeewerOfficial
      @NeewerOfficial  Рік тому +1

      The calibration can be adjusted in the app. And you can tighten the belt by adjusting the knobs on both sides of the belt. For the more detailed operation, you can contact support@neewer.com for help. Thanks.

    Wish you guys let us fully control the slider. I want to use the manual mode in the app but have it tell me a time it will take to get to the end. More than 1 min…I want to be able to tell it to take 12 hours to get from one side to the other without it wanting to take photos for me.
    Your Timelapse tab lets me do how ever long I want but it wants to take the photos for me. I do 3d printing Timelapse’s and use the printer to trigger the camera. But with the timelapse setting it's not smooth. it like speeds up and slows down at tines and makes it jumpy.
    shouldnt be had to add a longer time length to the manual mode. if tinrlaose mode can take days to finish so should manual tab. LET ME HAVE FULL CONTROL PLEASE
