Nice job. I like that you invest time and take pleasure from your coffee, and I love your set up. I use a Dedica as standard but just ordered a non pressured basket. I always dispense my shot into a cup of hot water rather than adding water after. Always get a superb crema, and great coffee. Best wishes from UK. Stay safe
Dude nice setup, lots of great tools! One thing tho, why did you bother with all of those gadgets just to use stale coffee out of a jar? Is that out of a packet? Or from your grinder. If the second one, grind right before you brew! If your going to use preground coffee, why aren't you using the pressurized basket, that is what it is for because preground coffee 1. Isn't fine enough to get your 1:2 dosing ratio in 30sec and 2. Has lost all the oils that create proper delicious crema and extraction at the right flow rate. Awesome that you are keen as, maybe just consider the tools you have and how they are meant to work to get the best coffee 🙂☕ I have one of these and use a sunbeam EM0480 grinder with shim kit and even that doesn't grind fine enough that works well non pressurised. Non pressurised needs the right coffee dose. Nice steam wand too ;) I haven't done that yet! Thanks
Thanks for the comment Ryan.. Honestly coffee was ground a few minutes before the video but the grinder is a cheap appliance burr grinder which does not go fine enough.. we actually knew the timing wasn’t going to be right from the start but since we were making an americano, we didn’t think it was too important since there would be a ton of water on top of it.. agree that we should have used a pressurized basket.. As for the sunbeam grinder, I think that brand is only sold in AUS- wish we had it here in the states as well. Cheers!
This looks more like my kitchen. Sweet setup. Great video.
Thanks
How did you change your delonghi frothing tip can you make a video on that?

I'm surprised you go to all that effort and care and then have that grinder. The OXO is only $30 more than the Cuisinart.

You should learn to dial in based on weight and not use the time presets of the machine, you will get far better shots
As italian i'm horrified by this americano coffee , sorry
