Loving this brand now. Lessons learned with Foscam breakup and it shows. These guys cater to the USA and don't sell Chinese market hacked junk. I may switch from Blue Iris to this NVR depending on limitations on remote viewing but still doing my homework. So far I have 3 of their 5mp cameras and they blow away all my Chinese market knock offs for the price point with both firmware stability and physical quality. I wish the 5mp bullet had a mic but not a deal breaker for me just weird it doesn't.. Keep up the good work guys. I recommend your products to anyone looking to install a camera system.
I wish they had more resolution options for the substream. Currently there is only one 704 x 480. Be awesome if there was 1080p and/or 720p substream.

I got stopped at 40 sec in: No device initialization screen displays. Power on, monitor connected, nothing happens.
My nvr is locked to a region
My region and language are also locked in and it will not allow me to change it. Did you figure out how to change these? TYIA
anyone get non-amcrest cameras working? like old foscams
You can add any camera as a onvif. Only what you need to do I manually adding
when connecting camera it doesn't show up
How do you display the screen (in the lower right corner) that shows the data stream stats for each camera?
If I have the NV5232E16P unit, if I want to use a separate POE switch do I connect it as a link to one of the non-POE ports in the back of the unit, or do I have to connect through the network port only?
You may have already figured this out, but for others. You would connect an external PoE switch via the normal network port of the NVR (not one of it's PoE Camera ethernet ports). From there you would setup the cameras on your regular network & connect them up as remote cameras on the NVR.
