I love the subtle "woah" and "haha". Usualy mountain biking videos are all 'im so cool and calm and this black route is easy' these videos just feel like a guy having fun which I feel is so much more enjoyable
Maybe a local can correct me, but are most of the stunts/woodwork missing from the first half of the trail. It's been years since I've been there, but I remember the first half of the trail being stupid hard all the way to the hollow stump. I don't remeber there being anything in the clearcut, except for the first move where Dave came off the skinny. I may be combining trails in my head (Woodlot Gold at the top is in my mind as well). Anyways, it's always great to see people riding what is left of these creative lines.
What a great trail. Getting a little sad seeing the stumps of the glorious giant trees that used to grow there. Now it's just a tree plantation and not a real forest.
@@ddangerousddave so what sorta travel is needed for this type of riding at this speed.... I'm just getting back into trail riding, much tamer than this but I'm curious, thanks for even responding!
These pnw trails make me anxious just watching the vids...very hard to distinguish what's trail what just so happens to be walked down or flattened out earth...just seems like you could get lost very easily
Old school bikes (or maybe middle school?) would probably make life a bit easier on some of these lines. Might have some trouble getting around those tight corners if it's dual crown though.
Sweet video man. I'm confused by the massive amounts of logs laying around. They look to be cut down, unless I'm wrong, but why would loggers cut them down and then just leave them behind? A lot of your videos are littered with them and it's had me asking lol. Keep it up though man awesome videos for sure.
The video makes it appear as though it’s all downhill grade. How much pedaling are you doing, as you are breathing very heavy? Great riding and a blast to watch the videos of BC.
Trying to get some cringeworthy clickbait-style titles going. Dale and I met through riding friends a few years back. I think we were both on Ranges at the time though. His was clapped out in typical Dale fashion.

That "through the stump" angle on foot is still super legit, good laps!
I'm not sure how I made it through so smoothly on foot lol
@@ddangerousddave you guys are insanely good riders. It’s so sick watching y’all shred 🤙🏼🤙🏼
That stump feature is wild
I haven't ridden that trail since I moved away 12 years ago. Good to see it's still in decent shape. Great video!
Thanks! The builders have done a good job in keeping it alive, albeit with some modifications.
Nice run, cool follow shot of Dale going through the stump!
Thank you!!

Great video.the name really speak for itself
Beautiful loamy trail 👍
Awesome video! I liked the one shot take of Dale going through the stump!
That look so fun and challenging
wha!?!? that is insane and awesome! who even thinks of lines like this?? lolol. wicked cool. i want to try! :)
These trails would send me to the morgue
That looks so fun to ride
Love watching these, thanks for sharing. It sounded like Burton Guster, from Psych, was on the trail with you that day...
Cool trail. Thanks for sharing it with us
You deserve way more subs man. Keep it up
I was rooting for you the whole time!
So talented bro.
I heard you laugh and immediately recognized it from the one other video of yours I've watched (so far, at least. Maybe i should watch a few more)
1:47 - Fun Fact, ddangerous ddave played Joey in Full House prior.
Insane video as always your riding never disappoints! I would love to see something like a tips and tricks video!
Teaching is a very different skill than riding :p
@@ddangerousddave Ah yeah for sure, would require a lot more organization and planning too, and you probably have other things in your life😅
I miss riding like this 😞
Krazy run 🤙🏽
gnarly!!
These are a trip to watch with shrooms
Who builds these trails....Thanks just came across your channel. You guys are crazy
What a great trail. Getting a little sad seeing the stumps of the glorious giant trees that used to grow there. Now it's just a tree plantation and not a real forest.
How much travel do your guys bike's have, do you think 140/130 would be enough for something like this?
Definitely, but probably at a lower speed with different line choices.
@@ddangerousddave so what sorta travel is needed for this type of riding at this speed.... I'm just getting back into trail riding, much tamer than this but I'm curious, thanks for even responding!
So sick 🤘
Sick!
It’s so hard to make it though the stump cleanly. My 820 mm bars always get stuck
Definitely need to shimmy to get through there even with my 760s!
What's the go pro mount that you use on your IXS Trigger ff? I love that shot that you get.
Backstory, I'm from Nanaimo. Living in Qualicum atm

I wish I was good enough to ride something like this. Sadly, not the case. It looks like Disneyland for two wheels.
Something to work up to!
Would like to try this trail with my old school trek dh it's not as long or slack as the new bikes are it be interesting results for a head to head

Agreed lol

Thanks for watching! That's all blowdown from wind storms. The cut ends are usually where the log has been cut to clear it from the trail.
@@ddangerousddave oh cool gotcha! Well, if you ever need firewood hahaha. Thanks for educating me!
I think it also adds to the whole vibe of the trail. Looks like you’re riding through an old carpenter’s workshop or something lol.
@theshredist this is a great trail for Sarah 😂
What size wheels do you run?

All the roots and drops suck the energy right out of you.
I see what you did there 😂.
How did you guys meet? Both had banana bikes and the rest is history??

@@ddangerousddave doesn't remember the bike, remembers it's poor condition. 2accurate4me
I was seriously looking for ewoks the whole time.
🙂
Full face helmet and no knee or elbow pads. Seems weird to me. Maybe I'm the only one who protects their head during a crash.
I've been trying to get him to wear knee pads for ages now!
