In 1977, we saw James Stewart outside his home in Beverly Hills, with his dog, waiting on the lawn for the bus tours to pass by. The driver said that every day he was at home, he came out to wave to the tourists.
Jimmy Stewart is one of my favourite actors ,actors today can’t compare to his level a true hero and one of the best actors to grace the silver screen. Truly missed
I wept as I watched this. I was pen pals with Mr. Stewart for many years. There are no words to describe what this man meant to me. He is everything you imagine him to be and so much more. This video is such a wonderful tribute to him. Thank you for sharing your experience and God bless you.
@@lookingforwyatteearp3137 Small world indeed. Say hello when u next see her. Probs have watched wonderful life 20 times and never ever get bored of it - so magical
Thank you for sharing! In 2019 my stepdad suddenly dropped dead of a heart attack. My mom was devastated, they did “everything” together. 5 months later she died too. She mourned herself to death. Although she had me, I could not fill that closeness that only her husband could. It was the worse year of my life.. my husband & I are the same way, I cannot even image life without him. I just love you guys, the love you have for each other is the way it should be in a relationship & sadly it’s so often missing... 🤗 & 😘!!!
What a actor, what a great human being!!!!!!! Anyone who can show such compassion on a talk show with his lovely wife, talking about the loss of his beloved dog, he and his wife broke down crying, such empathy for all living things!!!!!! 😁🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
When I was a child (and that‘s a long time ago) there comes a lot of James Stewart Movies in german TV. And since that time he is one of my favourite actors. I always liked his friendly behaviour, and I think he was just like that in real life.
Very cool. My favorite old time actor. Aside from those you mentioned, loved his movies Vertigo, The man who knew too much and The man who shot Liberty Valance.
I am friends with Karolyn Grimes who played Jimmy Stuart's youngest daughter "Zuzu" in the movie "Its a wonderful life". She lives here in Washington State. She's a wonderful lady. We go to movies and I go to her house for dinners.
He was good actor . Seen the movie last year I haven't seen in a long time my dad liked it so then why should I seen it enjoyed it Prince music video sir keep doing a good job a prince
I don’t know if his wishes were for a simple grave But I just think there should be more to celebrate his life Then a simple plaque he was a national hero he loved this country...
Jimmy Stewart was and still IS as ICON in Hollywood fame. He was a great star, a B-17 pilot in WWII that flew over 25 mission and was and still is loved by millions. Thanks Jimmy for the memories, Harvey says HI!
Beautiful place. Makes me wish I wasn't a funeral director in West Texas. Thanks for the tour. I hope to get to Cali one day and visit Randy Rhoades and Jeff Hanneman's grave sites. Cheers!
I assumed he would have had a more elaborate stone. Maybe it was his wishes. "Rear Window" is one of my favorite all time movies. Thank you Michael and Jessica. Love your channel.
I have to say Thanks for this wonderful and emotional video, Jimmy Stewart become one of my favorite actors ,but one day watching The tonight Show with Johnny Carson ,Mr Stewart was one of his guest and read the relationship between Beau (his dog) and him ; after the death of his “friend” he wrote a poem ,and i confess to you i cry ,after that ny interest for his life grow ,and now you with this video touch me tremendous ,you sound like a wonderful person ,doing this channel. Hope everything goes great for you and your girl deserved.,i subscribed to your channel.
General Stewart's last mission was as a observer aboard a USAF B-52 over Vietnam in which the bomber almost went down. My favorites are "It's a wonderful life" and "Strategic Air Command"
Out of all the actors in Hollywood he was the most respected & loved person of all time & his movies reflected that as he appeared in a lot of memorable ones always playing a convincing & at times loveable character. Really loved him in It's A Wonderful Life, Rear Window & Vertigo just to name a few. It's sad he didn't make it to 90 or beyond but he almost got there leaving us at 89. Knew he had to be buried at Forest Lawn as most are. It's sad u can't do Evps here, sure he'd talk to you from the other side. You would recognise his voice immediately. Guess that's another channel.
My mom got to sit next to him on a flight from North Carolina to Oregon in the 70’s. She had been a fan her whole life! She wasn’t disappointed. He loved to talk!
What a beautiful cemetery. I loved Rear Window, It's a. wonderful life,Harvey and everything he did. When you visit cemetery's it brings back memories of my Grandpa. When we went to Indiana to visit relatives we always went to cemetery's. It's what a lot of people like to do. Even places where there is no one we know is buried there. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
While I haven't made it to LA with enough time to visit Jimmy's grave yet, like you I have been fortunate to visit his hometown and museum in Indiana PA - huge fan of all his movies, but esp Rear Window, Harvey, Cheyenne Social Club, and Winchester 73. Thanks for sharing your visit.
I loved this video! Jimmy Stewart is from the Golden Era of Hollywood and loved by many. Michael, your very "mushy and gushy" comments regarding your beautiful wife are lovely beyond words!
Such a beautiful video. Very well done. I loved it when you and Jessica sat in the wishing chair and you both recited those words. That was absolutely beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes. And when you found Jimmy Stewart's grave next to his wife's. That was very emotional. I'm so glad he was finally able to be with his wife again. Jimmy Stewart was an amazing man and an incredible actor. He made the best movies. Thank you for going to Forest lawn in Glendale and showing us his final resting place
We are kind of like your Harvey, an invisible friend that is there for you to talk to whenever you want. I wish more people would talk and love the way Jimmy did.
Oh and thanks Michael.. I started tearing up at work while watching this because of what you were saying at the end was so beautiful. I was asked if I was okay? LOL.. ❤
Everything you guys post has interesting information. But the best part comes from your heartfelt presentation, making the people and events memorable and very special. Thanks for all that you two do! ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You and Jessica make a great couple 💕 Your personalities compliment each other..Love your style and fashion. Jessica is gorgeous and sweet. Your theme song is Awesome...Love your content and your videos are so well edited and done.. Happy Trails my friend.
The only thing I've seen of Jimmy Stewart is It's A Wonderful Life, but he's still an amazing man. It's tradition every year in my family that we watch It's A Wonderful Life on Christmas Eve, it wouldn't be Christmas to me without this movie.
You MUST MUST MUST watch him in The Philadelphia story & The Shop Around the Corner. You won't know how you lived your life without them! The innocent romance of young love. They started my love affair with film noir. I have seen both on the big screen! AMC Theater plays them throughout the year. They are WONDERFUL. The one liners he through out in both films are hilarious. Total smart ass. He raised adopted twin girls, was a bomber fighter pilot, went to Princeton AND stared in 80+ films!! He was an AMAZING person.
If you guys ever make it to upper Minnesota you should check out the glensheen mansion. I think you guys would enjoy it. Pretty creepy haunted place but it’s really cool inside. The owners were murder with candle holders on grand staircase.
In 1977, we saw James Stewart outside his home in Beverly Hills, with his dog, waiting on the lawn for the bus tours to pass by. The driver said that every day he was at home, he came out to wave to the tourists.
That was so sweet of James Stewart to do for the tourists.
Great American who served his country. One of America's greatest generation. Not to mention one of America's greatest actors. Legendary
Absolutely 💯
Very true!!!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
