“The heart rules over the mind.” The concise, perfect justification for owning an Alfa Romeo. Thank you for the most evocative, and at the same time passionate, testimony to the Italian way of making everything from food to art to automobiles, just that little bit sexier than can anyone else.
I remember my first ride in one, back in 1988, at 10 years of age. Jet black, soft brown leather interior, wooden steering wheel-gear knob-hand break, yellow tinted front headlights, those unbelievable wheels with the golden center and chromed rims. And oh the sound, the smell, the way it pushed me back on my seat whenever the driver pushed the gas pedal... They say "you can never get over your first big love". I can assure you they are right.
Alfa Romeo for life. They care about the driving experience above all else. It is true: you are not a true petrolhead until you own an Alfa. I am lucky to count myself as part of that club, and dont regret a second of my Alfa ownership.
Alfa makes the most beautiful cars..I'm on my fifth Alfa now..a stunning red 159 TI...best car I've ever had and I will be with Alfa til the end now!🍀🔥🍀
I've been an Alfa mechanic for over 45 years and have driven them all from brand new to old and clapped out. I've never had to walk away from one. Hissy fits my ass!
Having owned a 71 510 this was my second favorite 60/70's era compact boxy car. The handling of these are great for its time and age. Road feedback made real driving experience.
I was so pleased to see Charles Morgan on this, what an amazing pairing of this utterly stunning car and one of the most interesting people in the automotive world. Fantastic work!
I am an enthusiast of Italian cars of 60s and 70s. I have my fathers red Fiat 128 Rally (family car since new `73), it is in great shape, it produces around 110hp , 1.300 cc and it is a such a great car to drive! But, my next project will be an Alfa Romeo Veloce or Scalino (always red), next to the Fiat! Awesome video, awesome car, CONGRATULATIONS to all these people who keep these cars in that shape and drive them around!! KEEP THIS BEAUTIES ALIVE!!
Fascinating description of one of the most beautiful cars ever build. Guys from Alfaholics really know their stuff. Thanks for saving so many fantastic cars.
One of the most interesting journalistic techniques in motoring but so effective. Growing up with Alfas all through my life and getting the chance to get to know these beautiful cars made me really enjoy this video as it is so relatable. Best video on the channel.
thanks, bring back memory of college in the 70's in northern California, had white 72 Alfie GTA, but best meory was going to Limerock with my dad in the late 60's, he raced a Alfa Romeo Sprint GT Veloce for about two years, that all my mother would put up with, plus the family was moving out to California, great fun and motorcycles it's the sound that I remember, nothing like a Alfa four cylinder at full throttle, memories, thanks
What a lovely piece. I do like Charles' little darts off into history and folk tales and then bring it back to the car so seamlessly. An Artist of words and story telling.
Suddenly the level of XCAR or Carfection grew 10 fold. This presenter not only knows cars, literature, history, but also how to mix them with style. Such a joy to watch his reviews. Thanks!
Loving the Charles Morgan segments. Alex Roy speaks so highly of Mr. Morgan, and it obvious why in these videos - knowledge and enthusiasm delivered in an engaging style. Can't wait for the next one.
A car that would sit in my dream grarage for sure, what a beautiful car. And wow, Charles Morgan is a great motoring journalist, love the production on these videos!
I had been doing some HW trying to see what Charles Morgan was up to. I am VERY HAPPY to see he is working on this project. Charles, I wish you well and hope all things on the auto arena go your way. Love your passion and genuine love of sports cars! Thanks for doing these segments. Mike Conforti Mountain Lakes, NJ
a few years ago in my city was a small car event, especially with classic cars, and i saw one of theese, the design is just perfect, i think i stand there to wach it for an entire hour, the i go away and little time later i came and i watch it again, i passed the whole day looking at that car, the design was so esquisit and the proporsions were just perfect, that was by far the best looking cupe i've ever seen. i hope one day i could afford one ,here in italy a good one goes for 25000 euros but they are appreciating like crazy. sadly in a few years only very rich people will be able to afford theese amazing pieces of art and engeneering
What a stunning little Alfa. This is the best one I've seen. Mr. Morgan did a fantastic job as well. I would like to see him on Top Gear in place of Evans.
I love the rest of the presenters but there is something special with Charles Morgan. Having someone who runs and has the family history of his in a car company is unique to tell you why a certain cars design or manufacturing is special.
What a car! what a classic! gorgeous engine power and sound! A nice video and well presented, watched several of these presented by Charles Morgan...great stuff!
Some cars like these, i don't know why i get emotional. There are other faster, and more complicated, newer, older, beautiful cars, etc, but something about cars like these.. i feel like butterflies. I guess there is some degree of uncompromised passion that shines through in the final product, something that is perhaps impossible today in a common/medium car.
My dad raced a 68 1300 GTA Jr. Prepared by AutoDelta to three regional championships consecutively in SCCA C Sedan. Car was the baddest thing on the planet
OMG, my heart starting pounding just at the grill shot. I remember racing at Lime Rock in the late 1970's as these were being built up as weekend racers. The Guilia, the 1650 GV's & GT- OMG, I MISS THOSE CARS!!! First crazies drilling everything to drop ounces, super loud no matter what you did in the cockpit- the drone at 3,300 RPMs- Killer, awesome, so crazy fun. I never had one but had friends who would let me lap them every once in a while. So insane, so much fun. Every cell in your body humming... Never a 2nd gear synchro- I never drove one with one! If body parts would get me a GTA 290, Alfaholics- where do I sign up??
As the past owner of a 1750 S1 GTV for 12 years, a 2L Berlina, let alone current owner of a Giulia 1300 Ti (but with Super upgrades), I know just how great the 105 series Alfas. That my Giulia sedan is being upgraded with Alfaholics suspension it is just going to be even more Alfa. Great cars, with passion.
Really great work! Beautiful car, and true passion from the ones who originally made it, the ones that restored it, and the presenter himself. Keep it up, please!
Hot dam ! this is a super swell video. I wish I could give it 6 thumbs up : - great car - gorgeous photography - super legitimate and genuinely passionate MC'ing by Mr Morgan himself - and then whoops, we go through the Alfaholics factory for a blast of transcendental resurrection - and chasing a GT3 on the Nordschliefe ! - and some classy "lady and thug" poetic reference for final analogy... What more can I ask, folks, I'm hooked, you've established a new formula for YT car enthusiasts, right alongside petrolicious and jayleno. Thanks ! and please, keep on trucking ! (from France)
driving this car is like the feeling when you were a child and you were driving a car for the first time, feeling exited with a big smile on your face... :p
Speechless.... Two in a row. Wow. The gt2 video and now this. I am sold. I am completely sold. Was not so sure about the name change until now. You good sirs have got your self a new subscriber.... and I never sub to anything. But this did it for me. Maybe its because I have a soft spot for cars with a few years on them. Nice job and keep them coming. Since /drive stopped posting I have been experiencing withdraws. Now I have finally got my fix! Thank you!
Wow great video my best friend had two of them one of them was a gta forgot the year of the car but I drove the up going 95 north to New York, and wow what a car the experience was amazing.when I drove this car was 23 years ago I will never forget it.
Great video of not only one of the very best classic cars ever made but also of Alfaholics, the Banks dedication to these cars and efforts to keep them shining and running like this! Should have mentioned Richard Banks as well though. Would love to see external footage on a track, most of posted videos on Alfaholics channel are from the cabin..
The presenter describes this car as an "Alfa Guilia Sprint" which is the same car Chris Harris drove, however Chris described it as a 1967 1300 GT Junior which had been modified into a GTA homage.
One of the coolest cars in the world. Ever.
Agreed.
+Josh Charlie Agreed, not sure I have ever wanted a car so badly.
Got it
Tommie Reid nice pick
Josh Charlie, it’s up there with the original 240Z, MGB GT, GT6 Spitfire, and the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO.
“The heart rules over the mind.” The concise, perfect justification for owning an Alfa Romeo.
Thank you for the most evocative, and at the same time passionate, testimony to the Italian way of making everything from food to art to automobiles, just that little bit sexier than can anyone else.
My absolute favorite in 60/70's, one holiday trip to Italy made me fall in love. La Dolce Vita!
👍🏻👍👍🏽👍🏿
I remember my first ride in one, back in 1988, at 10 years of age. Jet black, soft brown leather interior, wooden steering wheel-gear knob-hand break, yellow tinted front headlights, those unbelievable wheels with the golden center and chromed rims. They say "you can never get over your first big love". I can assure you they are right.
Sensational stuff. I'd love my Alfa to have that much power and that sound is to die for!
Alfa Romeo for life. They care about the driving experience above all else. It is true: you are not a true petrolhead until you own an Alfa. I am lucky to count myself as part of that club, and dont regret a second of my Alfa ownership.
Which Alfa do you own?
Alfa makes the most beautiful cars..I'm on my fifth Alfa now..a stunning red 159 TI...best car I've ever had and I will be with Alfa til the end now!🍀🔥🍀
Beautiful car, the lines on it are infinitely gorgeous.
Clean lines, simple uncluttered design. Perfect!
Alfas have a heart and a soul. This is why they are the best and most fun cars to drive.
And that's why they are so flawed and break down in hissy fits so often XD
@@Aristocrafied That's BS from a non-owner!
Steve S- Word!
I've been an Alfa mechanic for over 45 years and have driven them all from brand new to old and clapped out.
I've never had to walk away from one. Hissy fits my ass!
These segments with Charles Morgan are fantastic!
+ChwyNiblet Thankyou
indeed!
As italian and alfa romeo fan, this video was really emotional.
The giulia gt is the best affordable classic alfa imho.

Having owned a 71 510 this was my second favorite 60/70's era compact boxy car. The handling of these are great for its time and age. Road feedback made real driving experience.
Absolutely love this car. Restoration is literally perfect. Very well spoken as always Mr Morgan, really enjoying these segments lately!
I was so pleased to see Charles Morgan on this, what an amazing pairing of this utterly stunning car and one of the most interesting people in the automotive world.
Fantastic work!
+Terry Dolan Thanks so much
Charles! We all love you! We love Morgan!
Such a beauty. Simple, light, fast, responsive, sounds great ...
Well done Mr Morgan,
A wonderful presentation of one of the most beautiful pieces of Italian machinery every put on sale
I am an enthusiast of Italian cars of 60s and 70s. Great! Where are you from?
I came very close to buying one and after seeing this it makes me think i really need to one day. Looks and sounds brilliant.
you should, i bought one no regrets!
Cars with Luke I bought one:) my smile is still not leaving!!!:)
If u got money plz do it's worth it
I simply love the Alfa Giulia Sprint, body design masterly created by Giugiaro at Bertone, and an engine that's a little gem of engineering
That is a beautiful machine, one of my favourite Alfa Romeo designs apart from 76 Alfa Romeo GTV
Please quiet down the music when you film the fly-by's! I need to hear the car's noise, not a piano!
WHEN THE ROARING TIGER IS COMING WHO NEEDS THE BACKGROUND MUSIC, THE REAL BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, WHAT A BEAUTY MAN.
Indeed - the music sucks incredibly!
No music needed!!!
Make your own video
It’s all strings to my ear , Piano?….musical advice from someone who can’t tell the difference between a string quartet and a Piano.
Fascinating description of one of the most beautiful cars ever build. Guys from Alfaholics really know their stuff. Thanks for saving so many fantastic cars.
Fantastic review! Charles Morgan is amazing on these, and the fact that he loves Alfas...This just made me an even bigger fan. Great job!
what a wonderful car. And Mr.Morgan, you are a great presenter!
+Russell Robinson Thankyou so much
+Charles Morgan if only they needed a top gear host ...
felix pinto I hear they have been having some trouble in that department.
+felix pinto Charles Morgan, Chris Harris & Chris Evans.
if only
alfa should build this again with modern internals. Who wouldnt buy that!!
Sadly people want 600hp in a 4000 lbs sedan.
+Dave B The 4C is pretty close
+Dave It's impossbile to produce vehicle this light under the current safty regulation. .
Alfa is no more, exactly since 7th november 1986. Sadly.
Michael Cohen 200-250hp would be perfect
One of the most interesting journalistic techniques in motoring but so effective. Growing up with Alfas all through my life and getting the chance to get to know these beautiful cars made me really enjoy this video as it is so relatable.
Best video on the channel.
Under 8 minutes around the ring? That's properly amazing! great video Carfection !
One of my favourite cars. cheers for uploading this.

Im thrilled that Charles Morgan is doing these. Absolutely thrilled.
He is fantastic.
Alfa Romeo,an heritage only true car enthusiasts know.
The sound and the way it drives reminds me of a 81 scirocco I had, which makes sense.
My father had a scirocco in blue, it was great car , the Alfa she’s priceless .
Dream Setup!! How I wish my GT Sprint will transform to this one next morning..☺️
!! Haha!
He has true passion for these cars, it really comes across in these videos
Beautiful machines....
Good luck with charles morgan. i think his series gonna be fantastic. you guys should keep him as a regular
Also, Charles Morgan, fantastic presenting skills! What a great chap.
Suddenly the level of XCAR or Carfection grew 10 fold. This presenter not only knows cars, literature, history, but also how to mix them with style. Such a joy to watch his reviews. Thanks!
Beautiful. Just gorgeous. Wanted one since I was a kid. Just always out of reach. Had a 1900 super sport veloche, but this was the one.
I really can't think of any other automotive UA-cam channel producing such amazing content, thank you very much!
Loving the Charles Morgan segments. Alex Roy speaks so highly of Mr. Morgan, and it obvious why in these videos - knowledge and enthusiasm delivered in an engaging style. Can't wait for the next one.
I just keep coming back to this video. I'm a fan of vintage Alfas in general, and I particularly love this one!
❤️
I met Mr. Morgan in person and he is a very nice guy. Great passion for cars.
You sir are a fine storyteller it was a great way to start the day. I thank you so very much. Greetings from Austin Texas
oh god, this is for me most special then any car on earth, god it is like an art, driving experience, technology, looks, amazing stuff....
If I could ever only have 1 car this would be it , so lovely.
The best video to introduce Giulia Sprint. Thank you for sharing!!
I wasn't convinced by the 993 video, but C Morgan did this car absolute justice. Great piece of narrative/ visuals.
Very well presented, thankyou for showing us! That car is absolutely gorgeous, timeless classic indeed.
Thanks Charles Morgan for describing all the aspects of the Italian manufacturing philosophy in just ten minutes...it was absolutely sensational!
What an amazing craftsmanship and attention to detail. Brilliantly done boys.
What a truly amazing fantastic brilliant piece of work we have here.
Another beautiful video from you guys. Charles is a great (hopefully long term) addition to your team.
A car that would sit in my dream grarage for sure, what a beautiful car. And wow, Charles Morgan is a great motoring journalist, love the production on these videos!
I owned a 1967 GT 1300 Junior, it was the most fun I've ever had in a car for the street. The most perfect shape for a small GT ever penned.
I had been doing some HW trying to see what Charles Morgan was up to. I am VERY HAPPY to see he is working on this project.

so much respect for these guys ... well done folks
I just LOVE the Charles Morgan reviews... keep them coming.
Such a beautiful and simple design. Aggressive but subtle.
Que hermoso auto!! Puro glamour!! Saludos desde ARGENTINA!!!
Charles should be hosting the new top gear. Seriously, he has an air of class about him which makes me want to tune in and listen.
Please keep posting these bits they are amazing
These Charles Morgan videos are magnificent!
Saw one just the other day in mint condition, absolutely gorgeous. Added to my cars to own list.
After the first video and now this, you're gaining a new fan Mr. Morgan. :)
driving this car is like the feeling when you were a child and you were driving a car for the first time, feeling exited with a big smile on your face... :p

I have a 1974 GTV 2 L I'm restoring and when I watch that video I get so pumped up I love my car
Chasing the 991 GT3?! Wow, just wow.
+Nik Brudar just think about that porsche owner, !! he's driving a car for 150k, and looking in the rear mirror, there's one from 150 years ago ;)
+B-CARS LTD Buy on Best Budget You're about a century out in your estimation there...
Rogue Qall irony my friend :)
B-CARS LTD Buy on Best Budget Not irony, exaggerated cynicism xD
B-CARS LTD Buy on Best Budget indeed, but how much would it cost to buy a mint conditioned Giulia Sprint and convert it into an actual racecar?
These videos with Charles are great. It's so nice to see someone bring a little more culture to a car review. Keep it up Charles!
That's a sweet little car! Charles Morgan is a true history buff!
out of all the cars that exist this is up there...
On the Alfaholics site there is a build blog of this car. Well done to the chaps, they are the authority on classic Alfas. Great video too!
Charles Morgan did justice to this video 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I just bought one. Scalino. It’s standard for now. What an amazing car
Wow great video my best friend had two of them one of them was a gta forgot the year of the car but I drove the up going 95 north to New York, and wow what a car the experience was amazing.when I drove this car was 23 years ago I will never forget it.
This and the lancia fulvia. Two of the most beautiful cars ever made.
Maravilloso vídeo de uno de los coches más bellos jamas construidos. Un coche con alma y con una aureola que iluminaba todo a su alrededor
This video is just beautifully made all around. Many thanks.
