Someone NEEDS to make a mod that replaces Misery Comes On Beat with this during Nishitani's fight, this is such an absolutely incredible track
that mod is just not possible by all means im sorry if he had his own theme in his fight it would be possible but to change the theme in his fight you have to change the regular fighting theme if I remember it right he had that one or im stupid idk but you get my point

the file in the game responsible for many things (including selecting which song plays when) can be modded to make the game play unique songs for boss fights, this is done in a mod for yakuza kiwami 1 that adds "id" back to the koji shindo fight (which in vanilla kiwami 1 just played funk goes on for . some reason)
this is entirely dependant on the unused music slots in the game i think, for example in yakuza 0 there's an unused music slot for kashiwagi which is a free spot for a song, just make whatever bossfight pick that slot and it'll play the music you've replaced that with
... however this file requires hex modding iirc, which is kind of . not great to do
but it _is_ possible ! just kinda tedious from what i've read and personally tried doing

The Homare in Homare Nishitani III was actually a typo for Horny, though
i like how him being strange and off putting doesn’t at all mean that he’s a backstabbing snake

A fun fact about Misery Comes on Beat though is that every character that has it as a theme would die or at least be believed to have died. (Half-exception for Kashiwagi).

Im not a big fan of Psycho's Anthem because of the instrumentation mainly, but this fixes all my problems.
The mixing is on point, all instruments blend really well, really great job!
Having just heard Psycho's Anthem (Gaiden), yeah I agree heavily with this. While the instrumentation does fit Nishitani III to a T, I didn't like listening it lol.

Can I just say how much of a BANGER this goes, considering this is only just a fan-track of the original “Psycho’s Anthem” in LaD Gaiden. I was first sceptical about listening to this as I heard some terrible fan tracks of the Yakuza games but my man.. You absolutely killed it.
I want to go on about the song and the amount of work you put into but honestly I think my praise is enough to let your creative juices keep flowing to produce more amazing fan creations such as this! 10/10 keep it going! ❤

@@Vigil920 one problem is that Nishitani shares his theme with Oda, Lee, and Kashwagi, and i dont know how to make it play only on Nishitani, so it is what it is
@reklaizer Someone in the modding server said they all have separate theme slots but it is all Misery Comes On Beat. Something like that- This could be misinformation but from how Yakuza 0 files act I wouldn't be surprised.
@@itsanti2748 I asked in server is there a way to make this play only when you fight Nishitani, but got zero answers, so i leave it be, until i find out how to make it
I don't know about Misery Comes On Beat, but what about replacing Customer Creed? I believe there was a battle in Ultimate Battle 2 where Customer Creed was regenerated, a suggestion from someone not familiar with the mod, sorry.

this one slaps but it doesnt really feel like a yakuza 0 theme imo
nishitani always struck me as an oddball character - nishitani III’s theme is similarly very tonally dissonant from gaiden’s soundtrack, so i thought i’d go the opposite direction of doing a mix of psycho’s anthem with jazz-esque instruments as his initial fight is in the cabaret grand.

very good track, but I can't help but feel like it fits more in with, say, a Pokemon battle theme, than it does with the Yakuza 0 soundtrack. "Trainer Nishitani wants to battle!" type beat. Still goes hard though.
