Excellent to watch, great guide through the game and thought process. But please don’t make it a chore, it’s your hobby too! That said well done and thank you chap
Fun as always! But, at the 24:15 mark, the Zombies lost 10, the Riders none. That means that the Zombies would retreat since they lost more models (that is the rule in effect unless either side retreats from failed courage check).
Love your DR battles! Man, those Alternative Armies ghosts you used for the undead scouts look amazing! And speaking of...all units without the ranger ability have armour of 2, and attack/defense of 5+ when fighting in bad going. Which means that scouts actually fight better in rough terrain, which is - sorry - explicitly stated in page 35. So they would have killed three knights, not one. Which is why it's great fun to place scouts or ravenous hordes in rough going to entice those Wild Charge types towards them. You still roll morale for undead when they lose figures. They just are never battered, but if they score zero or less, they disappear. So if the scouts rolled 2, they would have routed. Although I admit the rules wording is poor - according to the undead characteristic rules, it does state specifically that they rout only on a negative result, whereas in the morale section, units rout on zero or less.
Oh man, this is so helpful. I will incorporate changes toot sweet. That should speed up undead play considerably. And correct me if I'm wrong, but if they fail a morale check, they'll still fall back one move, right? They just won't be battered at the end of the movement.
They'll never retreat as a result of a courage test. Mr Mersey cleverly thought of that, without saying so. Undead courage value is zero - so if they fail a courage check, it'll be on a result of a negative number, which means they'll only rout on any possible fail. Any other result - even a zero - means they pass. But, they still retreat if they lose more SPs. Which seems wrong thematically, but see the undead "Unstoppable March of the Dead" rule, which helps a bit. And even more importantly I forgot to give you a thumbs up 👍 for Rain. Beautiful bird. My Dad's Blue and Gold also went blind, but still enjoyed sitting in the sun thinking deep parrot thoughts.
What a slog of a match! I went in expecting the Bromans to win. With the way this went though, I feel they just fed the next necromancer a larger force.

Most excellent sir. Thought the undead were going to win. Real close fight.
Great battle, great bird.
All seems to be above board here.
Love this playthrough!
I think you need 6 or more models to form/maintain Wall of Spears?
I thought you made the zombies venomous
Did I not do that? I believe it. There's a lot to remember.
