This band has such an awesome sound with such a wide range. This song has a real thrash vibe that also has vibes from metal icons like Randy Rhodes coming through the chord progressions, especially in the leads. Such an amazing band I look forward to checking more of them out!

Miho Rosana the founder of LOVEBITES wrote this song. In this live performance, Miho also plays the bass in her own inimitable way.
Unfortunately, Miho left her band LOVEBITES in August 2021.
LOVEBITES has since paused, but returned to the heavy metal world stage on October 21, 2022 with the new, very young (20 years old) bass player FAMI.
The worldwide LOVEBITES fan community "Wolfpack" loves both bass players: Miho and FAMI.🤘🐺🤘
LOVEBITES are the queens of clean transitions. Edge of the World is a great example of that. They can also do metal ballads! Epilogue is an amazing example.

Lovebites is the best band in the world today. Midori and Miyako are the best guitar duo since Dave Murray and Adrian Smith. These ladies are on their own level and they're all masters of their instruments. Check out Shadowmaker. Either the MV or the live version. They're live videos are better than their studio versions. That's how tight they are as a band. They even have a couple of ballads out. Epilogue is a Scorpions vibe ballad and Frozen Serenade is a more melodic fast tempo ballad. Thanks for reacting to amazing Lovebites and spreading the word; they deserve more recognition. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians. They really shine in their live performances. Their main influences are Iron Maiden, Metallica, Slayer, Helloween, Angra, Judas Priest, Dragonforce, and even Gary Moore, but they have been developing their unique style. Some people say that they’re redefining metal; some others say that they’re breaking the walls of stereotypes in the metal scene. Miyako is also a concert-level classical pianist. Asami used to sing R&B, soul and jazz before she joined Lovebites. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years.
Unfortunately Miho (bass) left the band last year, but a few days ago the band announced the new bass player, Fami; so they’re ready to set the world on fire. In an interview, Miho (ex bassist) said that they wanted to play as heavy as men but keeping their femininity. 2 down, 40 something to go. You’ve probably already been told this, but there is no album filler in Lovebites catalogue. These ladies have taken our favourite music to another level. They’ve been searching for a new bassist since spring, after being forced into a temporary hiatus when the previous bassist (who wrote this track) decided she was disillusioned with the music scene last autumn. She actually founded the band, so it was a distinct possibility that they may have broken up. But thankfully the remaining members didn’t want to end what is probably the most talented group of my lifetime. On 21st they revealed their new Bass player. She’s 20, an absolute bundle of joy and, please pay no mind to what she’s playing, but do watch and listen to HOW she’s playing it…on her own phenomenally successful UA-cam channel. Was that the true reason Miho left? I missed the disillusionment with the industry being the reason she left. Looking forward to see what Fami brings to the table.

@@mmcpa They will never say. They have a deep level of professionalism and respect for one another and its refreshing. Personally I feel Miho had a series of events that made her feel a change was needed. Covid Restrictions, loss of her Father at the same time and the forced hiatus while Asami(vocals) and Miyako ( Dean/Gibson guitar and piano virtuoso) had their children which was about 14 months minimum. Also throw in a restrictive contract and I can see why one might just say F it time for a change.

Afaik, Asami has continued to work as backup vocalist with her other affiliations, is writing lyrics for others (Lonesome Blue for one) and Midori recorded (amazing guitar! in collab with Angra's drummer) for a video game in summer 2020 while unable to tour.
Glass Moon Gaming did a reaction to Midori's near-continuous 5-minute solo from "No Straight Roads" video game today.
Seems they are allowed significant freedom while with Victor/Steve Jacobs.
I do have doubts if Miho would have left had they been continually touring since "Five of a KInd/Electric Pentagram" shows, though also doubt Asami & Miyako would have gotten married & had children under those circumstances, but all just speculation.
I am very happy about the way it has all been handled & that Fami is now "5th Element".
If Haruna 'approves' then all is 'right' in my world... (!)

Ha! I knew you would want to hear more of Lovebites!! Man,I have been following this band since their debut album and as a major metalhead ,who has been listening to metal for over 30 years,I can easily say that Midori and Miyako are my FAVORITE guitar duo in modern metal. The entire band is the top shelf. Top level! Globally! I have never seen them live but I have a feeling that they will be promoting their new album across Europe and I promised myself that this time I will not miss the show!

There are a lot of bands with great guitarists. There have been few with the luxury of two great guitarists. I go all the way back to Allman/Betts and Allman/Clapton, and I’ve never heard another song with two solos that were so great yet so different. This captures perfectly the contrasting styles and personalities of the two guitarists-Midori the extrovert and shredding demon, Miyako the introvert and goddess of blues (who can also shred when she feels like it). I was already hooked on Lovebites, and sold on the dual leads, but this is the song that completely sold me on just how great they are. Really nothing like them, ever.

For Lovebites, they do a lot of different styles, not only thrash. Check Holy War for Power Metal, check Edge of the World for a progressive ballad.
