- FIRST LOOK: The ALL NEW 4Runner is here and Toyota is redesigning a legend for 2025. On the outside you will find a new TRD Pro specific color, all new sheet metal, fixed running boards and LED lighting. On the inside you will be greeted by a 14in infotainment system, 12.3in digital gauge cluster and standard size sunroof. Under the hood is a 2,4L turbocharged inline-4 hybrid that makes 326HP & is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro the BEST new SUV to BUY?

I can feel the dealer markup from the screen. This is a great looking vehicle.
Make sure to do business with dealerships that don’t do markups, even if you have to go out of the area
older generation will drop 50% discount.

@@BlackBruceLeeTheGreatDekuTree that’s where you’re wrong. I’ve been doing business with the same Toyota dealership here locally for the past 15 years and they’ve never charged me markup. And they could’ve charged me markup such as when I bought a brand new 2021 Toyota RAV4 hybrid, two or three years back.
I bought a new TRD pro back in 2019 at msrp. I’ll never buy anything that has a dealer markup and will not do business with a dealership that marks up anything.

the TRD Pro is beautiful! I love the color, HP, torque, rear tail lights, and a great looking interior with all the upgrades.
Funny, the tail lights and front light look like my aftermarket lights I bought 2 years ago, not mention the DiodeDynamic light bars I also installed a year ago! Along with all LED lights in the interior, Focal speaker system throughout (3,000worth) . Nice ride though. Nicely updated, good job Toyota!

Joe I just watched an off road segment with the TRD Pro 4Runner and it really is a good off country road vehicle but when it came to real rocks and a climb it had to be pulled out,but it was a little muddy so maybe the tires,the jeep gladiator and rubicon went up easily

"Off-road twinkies" Hahaha! The new 4Runner is almost perfect (just needs amber turn signals in back). To be honest, I hope Toyota makes a lot of TrailHunter and TRD Pros early in production to not only meet the inevitable demand but to help put a stop to dealer markups. If there is a healthy supply of TRD Pros and TrailHunters, dealers will be far less likely to be able to markup. Great video as always, Joe!
🎉EXCELLENT REVIEW AS ALWAYS🎉. My only concern would be how the battery will hold up in the long run and how much it will be when you eventually have to replace it. I'd imagine it won't be cheap! If the power of the 2.4 L turbo is enough, then that might be the configuration to go with, plus it gives you extra room in the cargo area.. thoughts?
If my car still run im keeping it. We been through alot, travel fishing, camping etc. No bill less stress.

Been waiting for this. You were the first. Thank you!! Toyota got this one right. There is still faith in Toyota for not screwing up the legendary 4runner. This will certainly do well on the market. I can already say that of all the new vehicles, Tundra, Sequoia, Tacoma, Camry, GX, TX, RX, this 4runner seems to have kept the Toyota heritage the most. I'll await further details but from first impression it's a win.

It’s kind of wild that the 5th gen came out when I was in high school. I wasn’t able to get one back then but now is the time!
I can already hear my local (Portland, OR) telling me when I ask them I want a 4Runner with certain options: “Well, this is what we order so this is what you get…”. Then there’s the markup around here...

They nailed the update!
The best in my opinion is Lexus GX460, it’s a 4 runner and sequoia had a baby! Has a v8 good torque no weak 4 cylinder or even v6 no turbo, it’s body on frame with a locker and luxury interior. I wish they put a bigger displacement engine in it but oh well. 🤷♂️

Going to slide the back windows down while driving and ask someone to scream I STILL GOT IT 😅
I just wanna say is if you need any type of repair on this the insurance will probably total it out so make sure you have full coverage because just replacing the bumper, grills and lightd if you were to damage it not to mention all the sensors plus paint your looking at 20-30k in repairs. Jist keeps that in mind as I just had to do this on an older vehicle, and it took a month to fix.

In 2022 I saw a 1995 4runner and in my mind I wish that the next generation (4runner 2025 6th gen) had that same design but renewed and today it is a reality. Toyota knows what its fans want. Toyota knows what their followers and customers wants.
That side profile reminds me of the 1st gen 4Runner from the 80's.

Great video as always. The gloss black lower bumper trim doesn't bother me. It looks like a simple piece of plastic that is not connected to the rest of the front fascia so it can be DIY replaced if it gets too scratched up. Besides, wouldn't you WANT to drive your TRD Pro around with some battle scars on that lower bumper? 😉😉

Current TRD Off-Road Premium owner, I like the overall look. I’m curious about the legroom dimensions in the 2nd row. Seats flipping forward gives the impression of a possible/ potential third row?
Let’s be real. If we’re buying a 4Runner or any Toyota Truck, we’re okay with extra options or luxuries like hood struts.
Overall it’s a great starting point. But I hope they will polish it and put a few extra things in there.

I've had two 4 runners, 1998 and I currently have a 2012. I love them both. I put almost 400,000 miles on my first one. I really like this one as well but I think I want a Landcruiser.

Unprecedented sales are coming. They actually did it. I didn't see how they were going to differentiate it enough from the new Land Cruiser, but they did. Love the rugged look and the interior, minus that big silly screen placement, is a hit. It will be really interesting to see the sales of the new 4Runner and new LC once they're both on sale. Toyota has yet another winner.

It's the Tacoma with a roof....4cyl with added hybrid complexity, and backseat with less leg room. That TRD Pro definitely looks nice, but I am so glad I snagged a Gen5 '24 Limited last month.

2nd row looks a bit tight and dark. Wonder if there's a 2nd row sunroof option? Also, no seatback protection on the front seats. Odd. Still, I think this may be a contender for me. I have a 2021 Telluride and dont really need a 3rd row seat anymore. I'll be curious to see the price tag on this.
