Well, that was stupid
There are multiple current chrome forks for Windows 7. Supermium for example it even works with XP.
easyanticheat still works and so does warthunder. maybe you dont like suffering then wreckfest is a nice game that as well still works.
what was stupid is saying gayming unironically and downloading a modded iso off of youtube, not only are you using dated homophobic refrences from like 2008, your completely tech unaware, a extended kernel plus a iso not gotten off of UA-cam would be ideal but your youtube content level is that of a low effort 2018 commentary channel so i didin't expect anything intelligent
bro you didn't even try out VxKex for compatibility with Qt6/Electron apps, that's called a half assed attempt
No win 7 is the best bro
11:07 i get 10c more at that cpu usage and it starts sounding like i am inside a jet
discord works in windows 7, although you need 1.0.9036 files to actually work btw
best decision made this year
Fun Fact: MS Office 2007 Powerpoint works on the Wine Project.
New sub here. Very funny content. I love the people that say "Get off Windows 7, it doesn't get MS security updates anymore". I'm sorry, who in the world relied strictly on windows updates to stay secure on the internet??? LMFAO - I'm not saying switch to Windows 7, I just find it entertaining.
Oh god, _please_ never download a "modded ISO" from anywhere. Those can have any piece of malware preinstalled without you knowing it.
Although this is a video about running Windows 7 in 2024, so I suppose this isn't exactly about best practice in the first place.
W11 suck
Man I love how u use the martincitopants editing and talking style to talk about tech 😂
I miss Windows 7. The great memories.
I used Windows 7 in virtualbox this year.
Bro is the *technologically advanced* version of martincitopants, i subbed
Still running 3x Windows 7 machines here. Holy crap am I glad I never "upgraded." Seems like a headache.
Thanks for installing Windows 7 :)
what if someone managed to get a hold of the windows 7 source code and made their own fully functional version that supports everything windows 10/11 can.
totally wouldnt get sued into oblivion with that
They made a version of 11 without bloatware, they really won't.
Windows 7 was my first Windows 😭
Sailing the seas is also an easy way of getting a Windows 7 installer, that still works. It's probably just as unsafe as this. 😂
If it wasn't for steam and a few other softwares, I would still be running Windows 7. But when one door closes, another one opens, specifically to ARCH LINUX! I fell in love with it - the customization, the flexibility, the modularity, most importantly - having clear error messages and better yet - the ability to fix them, soooo refreshing!
dude I did this like a month ago, thanks for helping me find software I can run in this video :) just subscribed
There are other web browsers out there that still properly support Windows 7. I use Waterfox myself.

Windows10/11 Crowdstrike: "Hold my backdoor"
Honestly, if a slightly updated version of Windows 7 were released today, it would be hailed as sleek and modern. MS has kinda lost the plot, IMO. Also, Supermium is a great browser for older versions of Windows.
They haven't lost the plot, they're trying to change it. The thing is, if you don't want to go along with that, your only real options are Apple and Linux, and Apple isn't really any better.

Yep you can tell by the accent
The fuck is wrong with you??
I would pay to have a windows 7 version that can run modern apps. Windows 11 is DESTROYING ME 😭
Then use mac I'm used to it because I've used mac my whole life
SAME OHMYGOD
loving the martinctopants effect into your videos. Fastest sub of my life!

python works for 3.8 ig
also you could use the extended kernel stuff

When I tried Minecraft on windows 7, there was no text. Like none. So....... I switched to Linux.
1:20 i did not expect to see joe hendry here😂
Say his name...

I'm running windows 10 and won't downgrade to 11 for the forseeable future. To all people still on 7, good job!
2:18 good taste
Great video now try to install Gentoo
really isnt though, the "jokes" are just random sound effects with no value...
I'm getting "martincitopants" vibe by just watching this video
There's a huge Martincitopants energy in this vid, I love it, and loved the content itself, I'm so subscribed
Yeah i'm going to stick to linux. I'm not going to connect any eol os's to the internet as that is bad practice.
3:56 are you sure? I got discord working on windows 7 a few months ago just fine
1:49 The what! There are words from the language Arabic from an Egyptian newspaper

Use Sodium instead.
Does it have the exe protocol

I guess we're asking the same here, why not linux?
@@NerdyNEET distros like debian don't get that many updates
@@NerdyNEET Linux doesn't install the upgrades without your consent, unlike Windows 10 and 11. Any piece of software that you use is going to have upgrades. These days, even games tend to get multiple patches after release. If you wanted to, you could install the Linux distro of your choice and completely ignore all of the updates. I'm not sure how well that would work for you in the long run, but you have the freedom to make that choice.
Too much of the software is unavailable on Linux
martincitopants long lost brother?
that was fun to watch to be honest ur legend for trying windows 7😍

Why not Windows 8.1 it's basically the AM4 compatible version of Windows 7. And, let's face it-if you know how to build a PC you can set Windows 8.1 to your liking.
it's faster and lighter than both windows 7 and 10
@@tizzi91able Arguably yes. There are surprisingly a short fewer default background threads than Windows 7. I also hear it runs Minecraft better than 7 in some instances. For me it runs Minecraft just as well as Linux Mint on my Tesla 2.0 graphics. performance improvements with 8 over 7 are rather explicit depending on hardware configurations.
Literally just use the program to get the normal start menu back for 8.1 and you have a very stable OS similar to 7
@@Jamellii No to mention Turing Nvenc, Bluetooth LE, USB 3, NVMe. Stuff Windows 7 should've been partially ready for honestly.
So glad u got windows 7 looks like im not the only one using it!
