Hope you guys enjoyed this Part 1 of Advanced Defence! Let us know if you have any other questions or topics you want us to cover about advanced defence so we can make sure to include them in our upcoming videos 💥
Can i Upload a video maybe it can help Bandminton Insight get a something to discuss on your youtube? i am very gratefull, all of my basic actually still weak and thanks to your some of your video i know how to repair it . thank you very much Bandminton Insight
I'm gonna write this again and hope this hasn't been done yet, but I would love to see your guys' professional daily life, just to show everyone how much sweat it takes to get to that level of badminton, love you guys, hope this gets a little attention c:
The best improvement i had was from your last video...to stand closer to mid-court behind my partner, who's either serving or receiving. Even that small point is seemingly minor...but hugely effective. Thanks for all you do!
my defence was very bad i use to have quaries with team mate after i saw your videos and used in the court i played very well compaired to before .thanks a lot BADMINTON INSIGHT😊😊
Great tips thank you! Looking forward to the future videos and will also go back and rewatch last weeks as there was lots of v useful info in there - thank you once again guys 😀
Congrats on your milestone! Your lessons are very well done. I improved my flick serve tremendously after watching and practicing your techniques. Could you provide more lessons on doubles positioning wrt attacking and defending.
This is very very informative channel on UA-cam I have came across recently on Badminton. Thank you both of you for making wonderful content. Can you please make a video on how to take shuttle which is there on backhand side by forehand? The footwork and positioning?
Hey Greg I noticed that at 03:14 you used a forehand grip to defend whereas in the previous defense video you said bevel grip would be better as it’s faster to switch.. which one would you recommend? I definitely struggle with backhand defense as I can’t switch grips quickly so seeing that bevel grip tip was a breath of fresh air
Wait, what? 3:01. I get that it is easier to get better angle if you are defending smash and you stand cross court to the attacker, do you mean this? And also be ready for counterattack or cross drops? EDIT: Are there two things? 1. If you are right handed, defending cross attack, and you stand on the left side of the court then it is better to have right(racket) leg BACK so you get smashes to the middle easier. 2. If you are right handed, defending cross attack, and you stand on the right side of the court then it is better to have right (racket) leg in FRONT so you can intercept and get to the drops to your right side easier. Is that correct? :D
For a right handed player, if you are standing on the left side of the court then you should have your left leg further forwards - if you have your left leg further back then you wouldn't be facing the attacker on the cross. Like we show at 2:50 If you are standing on the right side of the court, then correct - you should have your racket leg in front! Hope this makes sense? 😊
@@BadmintonInsight Yes that is exactly what I was asking, It probably is not clear from the video because there are 4 positions, maybe a diagram would help. I started playing this exact defense with racket leg back a year ago, but if you are standing on right side defending cross in make sense to have racket leg FORWARD, so it is not awkward. When I started playing years ago, I was taught to have both legs at the same distance from net as were probably 95% of wiewers, but this "having your racket leg backward and forwards" REALLY help as pros do this too. But it is kinda weird to guess from youtube matches since if there are left handers and right handers on same side, the combinations are too much so thanks for explaning that!
not only badminton doubles back up, back up while the gentleman makes mistake while presenting. 😀😂😍 Good presentation. But, I will tell you one thing, in doubles you need to sync perfectly for which the doubles paid should have perfect psychological match.
After you mentioned net kills, we've just released a video covering these and how to do the 2 different types 😃🏸 Here's the link if you want to give it a watch - ua-cam.com/video/BIZ6PJ8z5Uo/v-deo.html
I can see my defence has improved..means i can take some smashes..but the return is so weak it end up in the middle or front of opp court n they smash it back harder n not possible to defend...what cause weak smash defense return? :-(...ur guys return goes beyond half court...strange
