Thank you for the video and the profiles. They give me a great place to start from and customize.
Thank you for your video and for providing the Profiles as a download! I will use the Premiere Profile as an example and to get up to speed on using the Stream Deck plus with Adobe Premiere
thanks for the vid. it looks nice and small. had the loupedeck. could never integrate it in my edit flow. i just need a couple of buttons, this looks awesome
the video i needed. Thank you
Glad I could help
Thank you 😊
Thanks for the video
I still prefer Stream-D XL !
thanks!
Merci 😁
I didn’t get lag in Media Composer but adjusting track height randomly activates the source monitor and starts to zoom in/ out (shrinking or enlarging the image with source monitor). Otherwise, I really like using dials as it feels more tactile and reduces repetitive motions typing on the keyboard. A device with more dials and with wider groups could be great too. Using shift level command on the dials is also helpful.
If you want even more dials check out the Tangent Element KB as a stand alone device... jonnyelwyn.co.uk/film-and-video-editing/editing-and-colour-grading-with-the-tangent-element-kb/
@@JonnyElwyn Thanks - pricey but dial-y!
@@upsidedownjim True! Price-per-dial on Element is $58 while on SD+ is $49
Can you use the dials to change things like highlights/shadows in Lumetri?
Yes, but only with this setup from Sideshowfx - www.sideshowfx.net/premiere-pro-stream-deck-plus?aff=7
Will these functions translate to Avid remotely if I'm using jump desktop to remote into another computer?
That's an interesting question! I've not tried it with Parsec, which is what I normally use to remote in somewhere. I know that some shortcuts don't seem to work (e.g. on a mac when I'm CMD+Tabbing it does it on my machine, not the remote machine) - so the answer is, I don't know but it would be interesting to find out!
Works wonders in fcpx
Great!
I cannot get the trim to work for me on the right side of the playhead. Goes for both the trimming option of fast and slow
What are you editing in? Are they set up on a dial stack? Sometimes it you accidentally press it moves to the next function?
Can you download this profile? Its a pain to set these profiles up usually
Yes you can download all the profiles I demonstrate and a few more from the blog post that is linked in the video description, above.
Can you bind custom video effects?
No, because there is no way to do bind a shortcut to an effect preset (yet) in Premiere Pro. But you can hack a system using AutoHotKey and TaranV's scripts from here... community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-ideas/keyboard-shortcut-for-effects-presets-pleeeeease/idc-p/13521756
Tried this out for Premiere and it doesn't work right. When I turn the dial right in JKL, it first advances one frame, then, if I turn the dial left in JKL, it starts going to edits. The commands in the software all look correct, but the device itself doesn't execute them as it should. It's all messed up.
OK. I just re-entered the commands (the SAME keystrokes that are in the download) and now they work. Weird. Thanks for the great video, blog post, and for providing the links!
@@EMiller500 Glad it worked in the end! One thing to note is that if you accidentally push in on the dial it will jump down in the stack to the next set of commands, which might be the 'next edit' rotation? Or it was some other bug!
Do you have profiles for DaVinci Resolve too?
There is a Resolve profile in there, but sideshowfx have some great free resources that you should check out - as well as super detailed paid profile sets.
@@JonnyElwyn what is it called? because I don't see it anywhere.
@@ALJessica Sorry just double checked - the resolve profile is in my older Stream Deck free profiles bundle rather than the SD+ profiles bundle. If you click through to the SD+ article and scroll to the bottom you can find the link to both bundles!
@@JonnyElwyn I have checked, double checked, and even triple checked. I simply can't just find it. All I can find is dropbox link which doesn't have Resolve.
@@ALJessica This link contains four stream deck profiles, one is for Resolve. jonnyelwyn.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Stream-Deck-Download-Bundle.zip
