Nice Brian! Florida boy in Tahoe this week! Doing Van Sickle tomorrow. Rented from over the edge. Thanks again for the catalog of videos. Super helpful.
Nice vid, great-looking trails. FYI (and someone else may have mentioned this already) but there's a water fountain and spigot by the toilets at Spooner Lake.
Mr. Kennedy, I have a recommendation for riding in the sun! You can try using some leg and arm cooling sleeves. I've bought some a couple of weeks ago and I literally feel refreshed in mid day rides. Granted it looks different but putting those on has kicked some ass.
Hi, Just wanted to say that i really enjoy your videos ! Excellent work i think. Envying the crap out of you right now ;) Stay safe, greatings from cologne, germany
Nice ride.... I would consider to use a PL or ND filter, that way you might fix that bright footage. (ND8 for very sunny days maybe) If you are editing with FCPX, you may save a profile for color correction as well. Pain & Pleasure... that might be the name of a extreme miniseries within the channel. Great job!
+Jose A. Rubio Thanks man! I definitely have to keep tweaking the setup. I'll look into those filters and I'll do some googling about final cut color correction as well. Haha PAIN & PLEASURE t-shirts.
Great video! Good commentary, as usual. Love the gimbal. I wish more MTB videos used gimbals so I didn't feel like throwing up after watching them. Suggestion: Let your brother (or whomever you are riding with) ride in front more often so we can get a good mix of 1st person and 3rd person on the trails. Thanks!
Awesome vid as usual, I plan on doing this ride when I head at to Tahoe in August, I can't wait. I'm not sure if you mentioned it or not but what time of the year was this video shot in?
Thanks dude! I have a link in the description to "my video gear". I want to make a much more detailed video eventually, though, as there are a million tweaks and settings that I'm always playing with.
+Jordan May Yeah! I use the Feiyu Tech Wearable gimbal. Maybe that product is off the Amazon list. Argh, I need to make a blog post. Thanks for the callout!
Just did this ride for the first time today. When I got to Over the Edge I realized I'd forgotten my wallet. Luckily I had already pre-paid for the shuttle. At least good ol' Apple Pay let me get some coffee. Then after getting destroyed by all the climbing up the last section of Spooner I sat down before heading down Van Sickle. About halfway down THAT I realized I forgot my helmet at the top. Fuck. Haha. No going back at that point. A fine adventure indeed.
Yes! That is one of the really cool things about Lake Tahoe, no animosity. I've ridden other places like the Berkeley hills where you feel like the hikers want to punch you, even though you are riding on a 5 foot wide fire trail with plenty of room for everyone.
Most of the hikers and dog walkers here stay on the fire roads and leave the bike trails to the bikes. I have read a lot about issues in the US between the 2.
Loving this channel. Can't wait to see the new bike! Keep up the great work :)
+spyk3d Thanks man! I can't wait either.

Awesome!!
Awesome trail. Went there a few weeks ago and their shuttle was down. Had to huff it up to Van Sickle. Great video, keep em coming.
Sweet! I shot a video going up Van Sickle and down from the Star Lake Trail, I'll have it out next week.
Awesome, I will have to look up that bike shop. I'll be visiting & I would like to ride/rent at Tahoe.
Awesome views on that trail ride! Cool!
I'm glad the video was able to capture a slice of how it looked in person.
Makes me wanna take a trip to California. Not many trails like these here in VA.
Dude, get on a plane and do it! Such great riding.
+BK-XC someday hopefully~ I'd really love to venture out to British Columbia for a week vacation. Just need the time and $$
+liquidSpin Yeah, Whistler would be a fantastic trip. I can't wait to go again.

Thanks for the info! I totally forgot to look when we headed out.

Giant makes some that aren't uber $ and low key simple.
Nice! That's a good tip. My farmer tan is off the charts right now.

Thanks man! Definitely a good call on having a ride up front and seeing how the trails rolls.

Great video thank you for sharing. Can you share some info on your video setup? GoPro + Gimball? Which models? Thanks
Thanks dude! I have a link in the description to "my video gear". I want to make a much more detailed video eventually, though, as there are a million tweaks and settings that I'm always playing with.
+BK-XC no Gimball? Wow. Sure looks like it was stabilized!
+Jordan May Yeah! I use the Feiyu Tech Wearable gimbal. Maybe that product is off the Amazon list. Argh, I need to make a blog post. Thanks for the callout!
+BK-XC ok thanks I didn't see it on your list!
cool, sweet job!
Thanks so much William!
you should try out Northstar bike park
Yeah, I should try to get there this summer. Have you been, any advice?
+BK-XC yeah ive been. go on a weekend because during the week only half of the mountain is open. every trail is accessible by the lift on weekends
Oh wow, good tip. Thanks!

Haha god damn!!
BC bike race registration is today if you have 1500 usd to spare. Epic 7 day bike race. :)
Argh, going to have to be next year for the year AFTER THAT. Thanks for the heads up, though.
Did you climb that at 9:25!!!?
Hahaha, nope I would have left it in!
Do the hikers and bikers get along?
Yes! That is one of the really cool things about Lake Tahoe, no animosity. I've ridden other places like the Berkeley hills where you feel like the hikers want to punch you, even though you are riding on a 5 foot wide fire trail with plenty of room for everyone.

Definitely, it's a big issue. ESPECIALLY with the wilderness and getting access.
Sierra club is that not the group that got MTB banned from Federal parks?
Most likely, :(
What kind of shuttle run has 3500+ feet of climbing?! That's madness.
Hahaha, I wish you could see the smile on my face right now.
It looks awesome, just not sure I could hang with that amount of climbing.
+Todd Strapac It's worth it!
What length stem is that? I have a 70mm and just ordered my 45mm
Dang, I don't know the length but it's pretty short.
Probably 50mm on the bike he was riding. Most modern trail/enduro bikes these days have really short stems on them
What bike? cockpit looks different.
+Bijan Daniali Knolly Warden! I forgot to mention it until the very end.
+BK-XC thanks
+BK-XC I watch all your videos and think they're great! So far I've found biking to be my favorite hobby, and your channel feeds my addiction.
That diaper comment, LMAO!😉
Anyway, good video!
Keep up the good work!
Hahaha, so good. Thanks man!
CE3?
Total time shuttle to shop?
3 hours 15 minutes!
+BK-XC God damn you were hauling ass. Shop said 4-6 hrs. I did Dagget-Van Sickle instead.
Haha yup, with video evidence! How was the ride?
+BK-XC Real good man - had i not watched your vid it would have been another month or more before riding VS. Thanks!
Awesome! Glad you got it in!
Beast Mode.....

+BK-XC haha yeah i gave bike vlogging a try
👌🏽👍🏼👌🏽👍🏼
+Rafed Hossini 😀😬😁
U need a logo and stickers :)
I've got the logo! Stickers would be pretty sweet.
Nearly gave you a thumb down for being able to talk while climbing as easily as I do when I'm riding my couch.
Hahaha
