    I love what you're doing man. I have become seriously addicted to this sport in the last year or so and watching your videos is such an awesome way to feed that addiction! Very entertaining and educational as well. I'm getting out and riding every chance I get but it's not even close to comparing to the trails you're out ripping. I can't wait to experience terrain like the stuff your riding out west. Keep up the good work, very inspiring!

    Thanks for letting me this awesome video! I aways camped and kayak at loon lake but I haven’t seen the trails. Always heard it was nice for bike packing and your video was really informative. Can’t wait to hit this trail when I get the chance!

    I've been enjoying your trail guide videos. The commentary/editing make it pretty cool to watch. I live in Solano County as well, so its cool to see some local stuff with great vid quality. Keep up the good work man!

    thanks for all the great videos. Just a suggestion but for your trail videos or would be great if you could put the trail map on screen and highlight the route you are taking. Also, during that time of showing the route let us know the mileage and difficulty level.

    • @bkxc
      @bkxc  8 років тому

      Thanks Colt! This is definitely something I would like to do to make the videos more informative. It's just technically tough. Definitely possible and something I would love to do, though! Check out the link to my full guide in the description, that has the Strava track and everything, but I know it's not the same as seeing it on the video.

    I was looking forward to this video after seeing your ride on Strava. It looks beautiful there. The air looks so crisp and nice. Your video is obviously the highlights of the ride. Were there any faster, less rocky sections of the trail that you could just enjoy a bit of a ride w/o shaking the bars from your hands? Also do you ever do any road riding? I just did a mtb race (citizen class). I improved from 116th last year to 39th this year. I attribute that to building my endurance on road rides.

    • @bkxc
      @bkxc  8 років тому

      +1975lap It's even more beautiful in person! I think the video is a good representation of the trail and it's features. There is a decent amount of soft, nice dirt, but there is a lot of rocky stuff too.
      I do road riding as well. Lots of great stuff in the SF Bay Area like Mt. Diablo.
      Awesome job on the racing. Nothing better than setting a goal and working towards it.

    Cool to find this video, I haven't ridden Loon since 1996 on my Full Rigid cromo-steel 26" bike! Usually you find a lot of Orb Weaver spiders up there, fairly harmless though they look man-eating ugly!
    Really reminds me of the Carr-Feeley Long Lake terrain.
    What size bike do you ride?

    How'd you like the 29er?

    • @bkxc
      @bkxc  8 років тому

      Not bad, but not great. I don't have tubeless so the tires were a little too inflated for my taste, very bouncy. But the wheels seemed to roll over stuff nicely. Lots of chain slap and a general "loose" feeling, like the bike was on the verge of cracking in half.

    • @mc540flip
      @mc540flip 8 років тому +1

    Dude, that sucks about your bike getting stolen~ 0_0
    How did it get stolen? Did someone break in or did you leave it on your bike rack in some parking lot?
    That's like my biggest fear. I hope you can upgrade to a better bike soon!

    • @bkxc
      @bkxc  8 років тому +1
