- The National Department of Transport says efforts are being made to deploy the South African National Defence Force to rescue commuters entrapped in their vehicles along on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal due to heavy snowfall. The South African Weather Service has issued a level 8 weather warning for the south western areas of KwaZulu-Natal from about Ladysmith to Giants Castle in the Midlands.

First of all snow in South Africa is crazy and abnormal. Maybe because I've never experienced snow before as I'm from Gauteng.
Snow is not abnormal in SA even if you're from gauteng other parts of SA have snow during winter it's only abnormal because it's spring

I'm from the USA in the northern parts this would be a non event but it would shutdown parts of the southern US like whats going on here because they are not prepared for snow
