- Motorists are currently stranded due to a severe blizzard that has led to the closure of Van Reenen's Pass on the N3 in KwaZulu-Natal. Lungani Mhlongo, a news editor at Kasie FM, who is among those stuck, reports that some individuals have finished their food, and others are in need of restroom facilities.

People have been stuck by Estcourt for 15 hours. My family stuck there didn't try their luck... They got the weather warnings too late while they were already on the road.
Hope they get help, they could freeze badly there with stuck traffic.
My family were also stuck in Estcourt last night. They were already on the road. They eventually got to Pietermaritzberg and reached their destination at 4am.
So our emergency services have not yet attended to the situation in over 12 hours? Are they incompetent or unprepared for such conditions or waiting for an appointment of a tender?

There was a weather warning out ,why didn't these people listened? The question is how many are dead this morning?
