Glad to see the success you’re having with this mod kit!!! A really helpful video might be to demonstrate how to remove and clean the headlight adjusters. Mine were seized completely, and applying any amount of torque to them will surely break them. I had to disassemble, clean and lubricate them to get them working properly. There’s no point upgrading your lights if you can’t aim them. A second suggestion would be a video on aiming these lights properly. Improperly aimed light don’t work well and can blind oncoming traffic. Speaking of aiming, my ‘02Z headlights were aimed very poorly from the factory; cross-eyed and pointed at the ground. Using the high beams as a guide, I straightened them out and raised them, and now the work as they were likely intended to. That is, they project much farther down the road, light up the side of the road, and do not blind oncoming traffic. If I had to guess, I think they were aimed so poorly simply to get the headlight lenses to align with the bezels for cosmetic reasons. Seriously. Once I aligned them properly they no longer fit the bezels, which looks bad but I couldn’t care less… you never see that anyway.
Its a dupe...junk...someone got it for me as kind of a gag gift. I have a real breitling though that I do wear and work on the car with that I definitely shouldnt. I cant have nice things...lol
Can you design a new, more modern faceplate and knobs for the C5 HVAC unit? It's probably the biggest eyesore in the interior once you have done all the other interior upgrades. Should be fairly simply as the faceplate plastic detaches from the rest of the unit. The LCD screen on it is fine, it's the plastic around it that's ugly.
I have considered this because a lot of people ask me about it. Could I...yes...will it really be a return on time investment and should it be a priority over certain other mods...idk...I feel like not yet

I have your original kit which I have been too busy to install. If I want to bring it up to the new updated spec before installing what parts do I need? And would they be available to me? Thank you.
Any issues with the stock metal adjusters? I’ve had mine on for quite some time and no issues at all! Thanks again for a great product! People love them at all the meets!
No issues aside from some people having difficulty installing them. Also, some people with headlight motor rebuild kits ended up with clearance issues that were able to be resolved but with this approach, completely avoidable. This makes the kit easier to install with a repeatable opening height, simple as that.
Yes, please watch the red car thumbnail install video. Once the new stops have passed beta, then they will be on the website. They are on there as beta right now, but no guarantees how long theyll hold or work until we have more feedback.

Yeah, they will be available when I have enough for all current orders and the machines can get ahead. Maybe a couple weeks or less here. I will announce that in a video and post in the KnightDriveTV Corvette Enthusiasts group.
of course they are not street DOT ,department of Transportation, approved. lighting is a safety item, and has tightly controlled federal safety specifications . one can't expect off shore led squares stuck into a adaptive fixture to be other than for show car display only. I really like the look of all the low rise stuff available, but, for me, a cosmetic upgrade is not worth risking explaining illegal lights to an over zealous cop, or in the most extremely bad situation, in a court of law ,after a fatality, or even a bodily injury accident.
All stops 97-04 are the same. The metal stops we use adapt to both cars where there is a slight variation and these fit all cars. Not sure what you mean here
Where can I get the resistors since I have the really early version? If I were to buy my own, what would be a good brand to get and where did you mount the resistor?
Very disappointed to have gotten the old style stops when I got my kit a few weeks ago. That old stop solution took by far the most time to get right and I’m not confident I won’t need to redo it in the future. That said, I love the lights, the look, and how much better everything looks at night now.
Hey Damian, is it normal that when I unlock my C5 corvette my headlights(halos) turn on (not on pop up mode) sense they are powered by the DRLs? Also in what mode do I need to have my headlights on to where I could just have the halos on during daytime?
Yes, because the disarm mode lights up yhe parking lights and the halos are tapped to the parking lights. To not have that happen you need to change the 12v source for the halos to something else.
Those are like 5.5 inches tall and 7 inches wide...why? Those wouldn't fit the space well at all, not to mention they're glass and will definitely overwhelm the motor/gear mechanism leading to a bunch of bouncing. Am I missing something here?
@@KnightDriveTV There's a headlight for MR2's called Rev6 conversion kit that allows the headlights to not need to be raised fully (similar to your headlight) and was a 4 bulb system...problem is they were Crappy housings overall (non-projector) and they've since gone outta business. I'd just love to be able to have a lower rising headlight w/ 4 modern projectors. Most pop-up headlight people use LED bars to get the lowrise look (S14's, Corolla's, etc) but they're useless as actual headlights. Something that could drop into any H6054 housing would be awesome for multiple other cars as well.
Well, the more aerodynamic and modern approach to lowering the height is whats working right now. I have no intention of making a fully opening headlight. There are some china options out there for that.
I really like the "premis" of your Sleepy Eye system. However it seems like you continue to make apologies for updates and your lack of controlling products beign shipped with incorrect parts and or incorrect installatiuon information? I really want your "lights" however I am simply feel as if I cannot trust your system, which puts a huge BURDEN on your "Customer".
I have a feeling youve watched a certain video, from a guy that completely misquoted and mischaracterized what he received. His failure to understand what he bought, then subsequent failure to broadcast it as fact, is how small businesses get damaged by people who have nothing to lose. The fact that people trust "youtubers", some of which have very little mechanical ability or experience anywhere in the car realm, but decided one day they wanted to be youtube famous, creates a pretty slippery slope for following enthusiasts. Its far easier to criticize something and take from an enthusiast scene, than it is to contribute something and/or create something for thousands of people. His little slice of desired fame I suppose, will be based on his ability to stand on other peoples shoulders so he can look tall. Instead of listening to the words of one, with his loudspeaker, go listen to the thousand + in the KnightDriveTV facebook group, of how hard I work to update, support and evolve the product, as well as support every customer individually myself. If in doubt, by all means, dont buy. I imagine his video will cost my company business, and I assume that was his intent. Nothing like a guy in the military tearing down small business, one at a time, when he cant even read instructions or follow updates that were supplied to him. Multiple claims he made were entirely incorrect.

At 7:36 for tapping of the yellow halo wire, did you tap into both the brown and black? Or just the brown

In order to do the bezels, I needed everyone to have the same exact heights, so my current plan/intent is to ship bezels with new stops.
Would love the new stops. Makes install/Uninstall way easier and seems alot more consistent. Hope to see you sell them seperate forsure!

The metal stops work just fine, as long as you were able to adjust them to the proper height, etc. The metal stops are still on my car as well.
