I can’t wait to see the how the finished round lights come out. Thanks for the update videos and all blood sweat and tears you put into being innovative for these older cars. I love my C5 dearly and daily the hell out of it. I also do a good bit of night driving and think these would be a great investment for me.
Doing the best I can with the resources and to hit a pricepoint thats as affordable as possible. Its all a balance and its tough to keep. Staying small, overhead low in my house...it saves me and the customers money. Now that I see your name I gotta tell me a Boudreaux and Thibodaux joke mext time...lmao
The rounds look so good! The headlight opening has hard square edges, but the body of the C5 is round and curvy. I think the round likes flow better. Looking forward to when they come out!
Thanks for the update. I am very pleased with my square setup and always try to advocate for KDTV any time people bring up headlights on the Corvette forum. Will be looking to purchase your bezels and possibly rounds because I get bored easily 😆
Options are good...gotta have options. I think the squares are mega clean but...by nature, if I am going to make rounds, I want to position them to look good also. Tuck them back in, make them look mean, etc
Love the square look . Great work one day when all my priorities are out of the way I will definitely grab a set. Great content as always can't wait to see what you have next
If you'd like more testers for the new stops let me know, redoing all my adjusters and replacing a cracked bracket you just sent me parts for recently. Adrian O.
Thanks for the transparent updates. I think both are a great upgrade from original and I'm leaning more towards your original square design. You nailed it with comparing to Bugatti. This is the closest I'll ever be too having anything that remotely shares any DNA with such a car as I'm a peasant C5 owner. Cheers to you and many wishes for success!
Hey there, I’m currently patiently waiting for a kit from Yal. If you need any beta testing or whatnot, let me know. I will already be doing an install video and review on my UA-cam channel. My order will be Kevin Pearson from Fernley NV.
@@KnightDriveTV hell ya, thanks bud! It’ll really compliment my new head motor I installed last weekend and the headlight control module that shows up this Sunday 😂 . I’m going through pop-up pains right now.
Yeah, I personally lean toward the squares but....some people need everything round because supposedly corvette has some round rules. I dont agree...lol.
I love my headlights. The look and output are great. Definitely one of best mods ive done to the car. Any plans to have a separate mount for lights for Z06s in the fog light area and have them wired to the lows for even more output?
So I'm sure you've heard about the other low rise headlight kit that was made and sold through CorcetteForum many many years ago. I've liked my kit and haven't had any problems with the actual hardware or install, however one tjing that was never addressed were the 2 rear stops. I understand your connected stops are designed for your kits, but I would be very interested in buying a set for my setup to minimize the play I couldn't squeeze out of the hardware, that and decrease the headlight bounce. I'll be able to adjust my bracket mounts accordingly so no worries about interference between parts from 2 different kits. Overall it's awesome to see your progress, the development and that you're still working on these. I've debated on getting the squares, and now I'm debating on the circles haha. Depending on the shrouds I may spring for one of them. Keep up the great work and know that you're for sure appreciated in the community.
It will be a tough situation because I can sit my lights lower than those. Also, with the focused hella glass beam, the light will burn the bumper and paint. Youre welcome to try them when I have a surplus, but I suspect theyll be low. I can make you a custom set though actually, as I had that kit and know the height requirements. I still intend to make a bezel for that kit
To me the square are insane ! M'y decision is done ! M'y Christmas gift is set ! Thanks to share all of the process with us ! Its gonna make me pround to Know where IT came from when people gonna ask where i took those light ! Your patience is impressive m'y friend
Nice. I plan to order a set. Not sure which one I want to get, squares or rounds. I definitely will place an order before end of year. Keep up the good work.
Possibly...depends on how hard I can work over the next week and if the first 50 can be built in time. Will be close. Need to watch for purchase information video that will have the date/time the purchase link opens
I dig it. Always thought the C5/C6 would make a great candidate for 8 to 1 slip fit header collector with Lambo Merci style single center exit tailpipe.
Believe me, I've thought about this exactly, as well. Due to packaging though, itd be a tremendous compromise and project to do it. The shear space they comsume is massive. A 180 degree header would be a more package capable option but an 8-1 LS just sounds ridiculous. That green E30 at sema had that setup and man, that car sounds mean
Yeah, the ZR1's had no provision for the center cap unlike the 88-89 wheels. Base 90 wheels were the same though indeed, except the zr1 had those fatties in the back. I will be telling the ZR1 story here soon. Lace and I flew to buy one cheap, but ended up with a different one. Weird how it happened but...been trying to shoot a unique level of a production for the car to capture the c4 audiences attention. Then once they are looking my way, I start introducing the c4 headlight kit. All part of the master plan...lol
Always been a George Argel customer from RadioFlyer / Sharp Light Innovations, but I've been following owner experiences on the forum and fb pages and you've got a solid product. I know I've looked at pricing before, might have to look again for the round kit and do a comparo. I dig the sleepy eye and run George's version of that currently with dual projectors. But I do love my night driving and if I can add more lumens in the same space that may be the way to go at some point.
George sent me emails from an old email address, requesting CAD drawings, lumen output, and lied stating he was an interested customer seeking details...clearly deceptive of his identity...I have the emails if anyone wants to see them. He sent it from an old radioflyer email address I had saved in gmail. I called him out in the response email asking why he was acting like a customer, when in fact I knew who he was. I ran and bought his products yrs back but now I see how he does R&D....same as the chinese do r&d I suppose.
@@KnightDriveTV never seen his stuff snap apart like certain brackets were known to over here (which I saw was accounted for and upgraded). He builds and wires solid. So maybe more like the Germans? Too many C5s over here not to.
I received my set last week planing to install tomorrow.😊 Round set no stops included hopefully i get no problems. Got the old toppers instead of the sliders it socks that after such a long wait still did not get the sliders. To make a better instal. I like the idea of individual lights system.
Really been wanting the square lights love the way they look guess I'm going to have to wait till u get all the bugs and proper heights worked out I'm ready to buy or test😏
I think to be clear, there are no bugs...the bugs are people not adjusting them correctly...lol. If youre good with working on cars, there is no issue. I am just trying to simplify the install for people with less ability to get.it right
The bugs I was talking about was u making it easy pain free on the height adjustment as u are doing can't wait to see the final product so ready to update this old factory setup
