A little pointer.. always always always buy a resistor harness that you can easily put in under the panel so when you change any LED like blinkers or anything it wouldn’t hyper flashing and especially with the LED lights there is going to an unbalanced power going there and back which will cause the light to burn out fast. That harness took me 10 minutes to put in under the steering wheel.
What a difference. I was going for the most expensive headlight replacement going well over $800. No point. $50 replacement seems to do the same job. Lol
Just got my 01 convertible 56k (pewter) I’m going to do something similar and put the pop-ups back on the car 🤦🏽♂️. My brother in law took them out instead of replacing the motors. I prefer the pop-ups😍
I did the same upgrade a few weeks ago using the exact same bulbs. It was a huge difference. Driving to and from work in the dark I didn't have anyone flash their brights at me. Well worth the $49.99 I spent.
Just got my lights a few days ago, bought them because of this video, thank you. Watching again before I take a crack at it. Update, all done, way brighter! Except now the lights won't go down with the switch off and keys out. lol, there is always something.
Just did the install on mine and I'm having the same issue, you ever find a fix? They go down if I turn high beams on then off. It works but its inconvenient.

Just completed this a week ago. Followed your video to a “T” as it was very helpful. And no kidding...getting those suckers in without removing that hood support was a PITA. But, for the price those are fantastic LED options that drastically improve the ability to see at night. Good find and thank you again.
Great tip on removing the hood positioning rubber mount. Needed to do this on the right side. Also, another learned tip,, After you raise the lights, unplug the main wiring harness to each light. They wont accidentally go down after that. Also, the time I had the parking lights on seemed to drain the battery just enough to where the lights would not go down after the install. I was thinking, WTF. Anyway, started the car up and they went right down. This would not have happened had unplugged the wiring harness as I could have turned the lights off and kept the lights in the up position. Great video though. The LED upgrade is HUGE !!!!!
Great job, sir. I just did this to mine. QUESTION FOR YA....... Does anyone know why the Hi-Beams don't work on the set of upgraded bulbs. I bought an LED Kit off EBAY, but only the Lows will come on. There is probably an electrical upgrade needed or something. Thx!!
Used the Amazing link to buy a set of these LED Headlights. They are not the same ones you show in the video. I bought them anyway thinking maybe they were a newer type. Installed one and it did not work. Put stock 9006 bulb back in and it worked fine. Tried the other LED bulb and it did not work either. I guess its possible I got a defective set but both bulbs??? I do realize this video is a couple of years old and the LEDs you used may no longer be available. Just letting you know the link my no longer be pointing to the correct LEDs for a C5. Thanks for all of your great videos.
From the Amazon ad "Notice: don’t fit 1998-2004 Chevrolet Corvette " . I have a 04 and the headlights are just slightly better than bad so I'm not going to mess with them and I don't drive at night anyway. Nice vid.

FYI you should have changed the right one first so we can see the difference in the blue and the new one I thought the blue was good enough thank you good job
Been playing catch up on your videos, great stuff Chris!! I also have a 2003 50th anniversary C5, great car, just got my first big jump for me a Borla cat back exhaust, fixed both my headlights with new brass gears, the worm was brass the main gear was plastic, bad design no more headlight problems, ever heard of curb alert? Just installed 2 weeks ago, no more nose hits on parking stops gives a beep warning when your close, great idea anyway love the stuff your doing, see ya next time, Jim
I also had trouble getting the passenger side bulbs fully seated into their sockets. Were you able to access the bulb area better removing the top dress piece, or is there more of a trick to it? Did you have to remove any other pieces to get the bulbs fully seated? Would sure appreciate more info on this. I'm about half-way thru a full conversion to LED on my C5.
Got the lights they are awesome! Had a little problem, the lights would not close after I install the new bulb. It works with one light in on driver side and the old bulb on the passenger side. I tested to see them work. but when I had both new lights in, the Headlights would not close. got any tips? Thanks you
The C5 Corvette comes from the factory with H9006 Low Beam Halogen and H9005 High Beam Halogens. Looks like the 9006 LED works nicely in these cars. How many of you also replaced the High Beams with 9005 LED's? I wish I could see how bright the car is with both High and Low LED's on at the same time. That is exactly what is happening to me. The light on the driver's side works fine, but as soon as you replace the one on the passenger's side, lights started acting up
What was the issue that lights where not coming down or up when u installed the second one? because I am having exactly same issue, when installed the first one, left side on the car, no problem, when I installed the second one (right side, same as you did) the whole up and down got messed up, So I ended taking both new led out, put back the stock halogen lights and all was working right, so not sure what is the issue there, compatibility or something else, because one works fine and the second one screws up the light control
If you didn't figure it out all you have to do is turn your lights completely off and push the signal stalk forward to high beam position...they will go down. You have to do this every time you use your headlights. Not a deal breaker.
Be careful! I had to return my led's through Amazon because the wiring circuit "feedback" doesn't allow for the pop ups to close. 2000 Corvette. I didn't want to add resistor so going with white halogens.

Some do, some don’t. It it due to the system sensing less electrical draw from the LEDs vs the old halogen, so the system thinks there is a lamp out. A hyper flash harness should correct this.
