I'm playing fulcrum self ignite, able to do T17s, but it takes 5 minutes to kill the boss while I stand there begging for an ignite :') Great time to make a coffee.
You are the first person I've heard making the comparison between PoE bosses and Souls game's bosses. They are very similar, both well made with lots of attacks that you have to know in order to defeat them. I'd say poe reaches the point where you can just facetank and ignore all their attacks unlike souls games but if you are not at that point the dynamics are basicly the same, dodge attacks and find a window of opportunity to deal damage
Also the average amount of portals you get is actually 12. The expected value of 1 portal with a 50% chance to not be consumed is 1/0.5 = 2. This is from the sum of an infinite geometric series, which is in effect 0.5 + 0.5^2 +…. Then 2*6 portals = 12. 9 doesn’t factor in the same portal being reused
Just did my Einhar, Niko, disabled Tormented Spirits, Lots of Shrines Pretty good setup, only died once for the boss and the rest of the map was not bad Now i only touch this maps again when i get my lvl 96 build
Duplication scarab definitely better for t17s if only picking one of the two. 30% chance of 2 compared to 50% increased chance of 1. Also with the drop rate going down for each t17 dropped in the map it’s much more likely to have 1 duplicate than have 2 drop separately imo. But of course you can go all in but probably adding mobs would be better using other scarabs.
I'm not sure if you said this but maps that roll with "unique monsters have a random shrine buff" nah, fuck that one too. Like 80% of the shrine buffs are catastrophic to any build that doesnt have like, defiance of destiny. Not sure how it is for other t17s but for zigg, "unique boss gains x% amount of increased damage" and "unique boss increased area of effect" makes the slam impossible to dodge. Also thank you for the heads up on the maven one, I had a map rolled with it and now will reroll it :)
Less Recovery Rate and Less Defenses are the two most dangerous. Beyond that, it will be up to you to gauge how many damage mods you can handle. Minus Max Res mods are pretty nasty!
for rushing a boss is the best option But you cost you like 40 to 60c on all flames + the chaos on rerrolling For one run is fine, for more is pretty expensive
200 div buid and cannot do them, t17 are the worst i hate it. 1000 things happening on the floor fron spells, animations etc and then you die because u cannot see where the damage comes from and everything is full fkin map aoe. Disgusting
I believe it's actually a 6.4% chance to convert, as each of the 4 voidstones provides a "+0.4% chance per socketed voidstone". This was confirmed in GGG live I believe.
Is it worth doing t17 in your opinion if you can’t kill the boss? I’m RF and can kill all the mobs easily but the boss just takes forever I can get ‘em eventually but it takes so long with my RF build. So don’t know if it’s still worth running then or not or just selling the maps
Depends on the T17. For ones with weighting toward good Uber boss keys like Abomination and Ziggurat, probably not. For t17's with weighting toward bad boss keys like Citadel... maaaaaaaybe it's justifiable.
I just ran my first t17 blind and the two special modes were Maven interference and Shaper touched rares. I was glad I used the scarab that saves portals because boy did I use them portals !

Oof.
Can it be done on a 20 div budget?
EA Ballista ignite build is the same, thanks to Niko and Einhar i have extra explosion dmg

Indeed, we have always seen a lot of parallels.

Good call. That's a brutal mod.
Fortress with area of effect is a pain if you don't have a high life build
For 3.25 as a toxic rain, what mods should we avoid ?
Less Recovery Rate and Less Defenses are the two most dangerous. Beyond that, it will be up to you to gauge how many damage mods you can handle. Minus Max Res mods are pretty nasty!
have you thought of using Toxic Rain of Withering in place of normal TR?
It does about 40% as much damage and doesn't have a slow, so not really.
Hello
A question for trash/rare mobs, can you change them all with frog/rats allflame or is it limited?
You can do that!
for rushing a boss is the best option
But you cost you like 40 to 60c on all flames + the chaos on rerrolling
For one run is fine, for more is pretty expensive
You say that everything aside from niko has downside. What about huck though if you get +% for heist caches?
That's a good point. The downside is that you're specced into Heist!
@@PathofEvening I could say the same for Delve haha. 😂
That is true!
Why are your flasks beeing used all the time?
Pathfinder + Instilling Orb modifier that makes them automatically use when they reach full charges.
Any builds that can farm t17 on a 20 div budget?
Most DD builds, probably.
Which one is tankiest?
We don't play any DD builds, so not sure.
are they even worth the headache?
Yes!
Pease avoid Drowning Orbs, god they are horrible
Lots of people feel that way.
Couldn't disagree more. Maybe it's a build difference, maybe it's playstyle.
200 div buid and cannot do them, t17 are the worst i hate it. 1000 things happening on the floor fron spells, animations etc and then you die because u cannot see where the damage comes from and everything is full fkin map aoe. Disgusting
That's kind of the fun part of PoE...
everytime video tells me to like and sub. I just dont.
UA-cam tells us to ask lol
You must be fun at parties
Yet you left a comment 😂
Unique maps CAN convert into T17 so singularity scarab does help. Especially good with destructive play strats as it gives quaranteed t16 maps.
Word!

Yup, you're right!
4 months later... I can't kill any t17 boss
That's rough
Hits so hard, it makes my hard drive soft. 😢
Ayo
1st T17 attempt rolling mods without any idea what they actually do then ends up with maven mod cause i thought its the easier one.💀
RIP!

Thanks for the tips man ❤
Glad to help!
Do you have a discord chan? Would be nice too chat there and talk about strats and the build and stuff
