GGG just dropped a spoiler about Expedition Scarabs: twitter.com/pathofexile/status/1772496427899629669 The 100% Increased Runic Monster Markers Scarab is just the old Sextant in a more convenient form. It's good. Notably, it has the text "Limit: 2." This kind of implies you can use two on a map at once, which would grant 200% Increased Runic Monsters. That's *VERY* good if it works that way. The Increased Number of Explosives and Explosive Radius Scarab is a bit of a dud. It's largely invalidated by Extreme Archaeology, which is still faster. Maybe this will be stronger in conjunction with Distinguished Demolitionist, but probably not. The Dannig Scarab is good. It can save you some atlas points in the top-right Expedition cluster and ensure every single Expedition provides maximum value. The Remnants have +2 Suffix & Prefix Mods Scarab is buck wild. This will make monsters substantially more rewarding & dangerous. Very cool designs, for the most part. Also, 13:00 has some outdated info about keystones that were removed in 3.24. This is fine, the new small Atlas Passive Clusters that were added and grant increased modifier effect have a similar impact. Increasing Pack Size is far and away the most important thing you can to do boost the value of Expeditions in your maps!
??? Bro instead of taking Expedition early with barely enough investment and buffs you could Rush to get Unwavering Vision Keystone instead with just 19 Point and then the Keystone give you 20 Extra Atlas Points you can Complete all Expedition node and make it 100% except you can only choose between Tujen or Dannig for now but Tujen is The Goat anyway with raw currency including Divine orbs and also Orb of Horizon for further Map Progress. By just Rushing Unwavering Vision Keystone.
hey wanted to thank you for this in depth guide, learned enough about expedition to decide to do it alongside betrayal as my main content this season! hope it goes well
I am really enjoying your video content! I am a fairly new POE player and am going to follow your Toxic Rain guide and crafting video for this league. One thing you’ve touched on is Lab Running for transfigured gem currency. Any tips you have for that or will there be a video to showcase that strategy like you’ve done for expedition, heist, etc?
Another banger video. Does it matter WHEN you open the chest (opening them while explosives are still going off...) or is it better to complete the map/mobs then go back to open chests?
The monsters in Expeditions will inherit item quantity and rarity modifiers from eldritch altars, so if you're doing Expedition at t14+, you are better off clearing out the map to get all possible eldritch altars, then doing the Expedition. As for opening chests while the explosives are still going, no difference.
great video, I got a couple of questions what are the best builds for expedition farming in your opinion? are logbooks worth buying (at what cost) and what modifiers are the best on them?
Thanks! One of the great things about Expedition is that the remnants allow you to select your mods for the set of monsters you're blasting out of the ground, so it's really a mechanic that can be done by absolutely every build. With that being said, having good defenses and damage are useful, so any good mapping build would be ideal. Logbooks are usually worth buying if you like the gameplay loop, but the cost can fluctuate significantly depending on the point in the league, so giving an exact number would probably misleading. As for Logbook mods, here's a complete list: www.poewiki.net/wiki/List_of_logbook_mods "Increased number of Explosives" and "Increased Explosive radius" are both good and relatively common. "Area contains X (Boss)" is always valuable, but uncommon. None of the modifiers are *bad*, but the ones that correspond to explosives and treasures are more useful than the ones that affect monsters. Monsters in Logbooks are not really that important. They're important in maps because they are the only source of Logbooks, but that's the main thing they provide.
Any builds such as totem, mine, trap, ballista are relatively safe and good for expedition given you can pre place and walk away. I did hexblast miner last league which was solid at expedition.
I never finished the logbook quest from campain, I have played POE form 3.16 till now, still no clue where to find one to finish that damn quest, this could be the only quest that I never finished.
Do you really path to all of the league mechanics even on your way to red maps? Doesn't this make map sustain more difficult? With there now being multiple atlases, would you recommend fully focusing on map drop chance nodes and mechanics on a separate atlas tree?
It definitely will. You can push into a league mechanic right off the bat, but picking up the Kirac wheel in the middle and some map sustain clusters is better if you're trying to push up in map tier as quickly as you can. Then you can backtrack to mechanics afterward. Being able to have multiple trees will help a lot with this, for sure.
Nice channel! Been following for a while. Builds for running logbooks? Ill probably run them this league. PS: Sometimes I feel like sanctum is a bit more worth it.
For the most part, any fast-mapping build can do logbooks pretty well. If you get lucky and find a boss, you'll want to be able to juice it up fairly hard, so having some degree of defenses and single-target damage is useful. The ability to customize your difficult on the fly with Expedition makes it pretty appealing to nearly all builds.
We made two versions of this guide during Affliction League, one with MF (ua-cam.com/video/DxoWhpqwyWU/v-deo.html), and one without (ua-cam.com/video/o4CYt7hfl2I/v-deo.html). It's got some outdated info like stuff about Scarabs & Sextants, and having to click hands to open them, so we will look to update it in the coming league once we know a bit more about the new Scarabs!
Ate you worried about what they said in the qna that tujen stacked decks will be nerfed on top of the stacked deck nerfs. I feel like a good portion of my logbook farms was stacked deck
Yeah, might cut into his value a bit. He's still pretty decent, bubblegum currency is valuable at league start, probably a bit more so this league with the nerfs to Stacked Decks.
It was a part of Affliction League, and unfortunately has been removed. Official word from GGG when asked if it could stick around was "Deal with it. =)" =(
Correct me if I lm wrong but shouldnt you be hitting underground spots last to maximize their drops like bosses and the explosion chain itself? Or are underground spots predetermined rewards that dont scale
One is the Timekeeper's Hideout, the other is the Atlas Hideout. They were both parts of Supporter Packs from past expansions, and are no longer available.
Grand design, growing hordes are gone >_< But you can increase mod effect of maps for more pack size, I suppose. Also, the symbol for artifacts in expedition and the Triskelion Flame in the Olroth fight itself? IT'S A FIDGET SPINNER! Ugh the atlas is SUPER hostile to expedition this league I think. With the new atlas changes you can guarantee the spawn of any mechanic only with the passives for chance to spawn

11:47 How did u get the Dunes Map to tier 16?
Unlocking all 4 Voidstones by defeating the Exarch, Eater, Maven, and Uber Elder will increase the tier of all maps to tier 16.
How in the world do you get that extra stash box that has what looks like a bear above it in its UI?

ah ok, yeah sounds like GGG@@PathofEvening
How'd you get that timer on your Map Device?
Mtx
It's an mtx from those mistery boxes but I don't remember which league it is from or if is still available.
Timekeeper's Map Device, it's still available.
what is the minimum map tier to farm expedition, can i grind this also in low maps ?
you can grind it whenever, you have one vendor for gambling, another for currency, and another for crafting
