Our 1971 Chevy Nova has her new heart bolted between the frame rails. Now all we gotta do is all the small stuff... Fuel system, linkage, cooling, ignition and setting the timing.
This motor sounds absolutely amazing!

Dan, Daniel my brother! ✋️ Please stop worrying about that old Camaro! The Danmaro got way better than it ever deserved, OK? It probably started life as a 6 cyl grocery getter. You did a hell of a good job and a lot of work saving it. Nobody likes Camaros more than me, but a man has to drive what he likes. You and Dani are the best! I'm laid up fighting cancer and your videos are really helping me get by. Thank you guys! 👍

The plastic looming is how the factory does it. If you put that vinyl roof on that car will look really nice. Good looking car so far I'm sure it'll come out nice

Never ceases to amaze me that you can lift and hang an engine and transmission from a small plate and a handful of bolts going into an intake manifold.
This is the first time seeing the under side of your 71. I've owned 2 ,a 70 SS396 and a71 small block. Glad you kept yours, that's a really nice NOVA. PEACE ✌️

Dan, I also have a Camaro and do not drive it. Yes it is to small. My thing is that I rebuilt it bumper to bumper and love the looks or it. I park it in my driveway, and it is one of the first things I see when I leave the house every day. Every day dam that is a good looking car. The thing is that I have touched every nut, bolt, and washer on that car, and now it is a part of me. I look at it and can say I built that. I have now moved on to a 78 Malibu that had been sitting in a field since 98 with on engine or transmission.
I live down here in Southwest Oklahoma. You got a car from the great north of the border.The floor pans are ment.We don't even have that down here. You have a gem of a Nova.
Vicegrip garage uses a ratchet strap across the frame rails for the transmission to slide down on when lowering engines by yourself

The engine, and engine compartment look good. I'm proud of you for cleaning it up. The only thing that
really looks a little out of place is the radiator because it's not nice and shiny anymore, but that's just
my OCD kicking in...That looks like a really solid car and it does sound good.

Swapping engines like its a normal thing. Gott love it.
All you need now is a couple spare rebuilt motor and trans combos waiting in the wings to save some time not having to yard them out of other cars. Good thing you have the chief camera lady on hand to help out and keep things flowing.

I had to build an AMC Gremlin, and a Model A, to realize that I don't want to drive either one of them. Even though I love them.
Alright, Dan, you fabricate brackets of any size and shape you need all the time. Make a bracket to lower that hoist with a 18 inch wide handle so she can effectively lower things slowly when needed. It'll make your life better, and we both know it wouldn't take you any time at all. A slice in a pipe, and a welded-on handle in the shape of a T. Piece of cake.
