It's kinda cool being able to see buildings that my father helped build
@TERRY KWAY You*
@TERRY KWAY Why did you have to say that? Why did take time out of your day just to make a hurtful comment? Sometimes I just don't get it, if you really didn't care why didn't you just ignore it?
@TERRY KWAY who hurt you lol
@TERRY KWAY how do you know noone cares
And theres a high chance that I was in those buildings
Yes Portland Oregon is Beautiful been leaving Oregon most of my life I do love Oregon all the natural beautiful places thanks Oregon for being part of my life
I'm surprised they got all the shots of the city and not one homeless person was in it
Yep true that was alittle difficult to do in downtown. Had one homeles guy knock over a GoPro. Alot of homeless down there.
Jacob Hansen I don’t think Portland is nearly as rainy as it is cracked up to be. I grew up in Cleveland where it - at least - feels as though like it rains more and there are more cloudier days for sure.
@@marysunshine170 I have no clue what Cleveland rainfall is like, but being a native Oregonian myself I'm a little surprised to hear anyone say it isn't so bad (rain-wise). Your right though about the overcast; if it isn't raining it's usually cloudy and another rain around the corner. Portland get around 45inch of rain each year and is spread out over 9 months of the year. We can get rain though on 4th of July and beyond, but usually it's clear by mid July. Though there might be rainier places, I think it's for these reasons it feels more rainy than a lot of places, 9months of gloom and a shower being turned on, off, on, off
EVERY CITY IN THE US HAS A HOMELESS PROBLEM!
Jason Buis eh, Portland is the Bastard child of San Francisco. And, the homeless can actually be more friendly than the woke portlanders who are OH SO not friendly.
Thanks for making this video about Portland. Alot of people complain about it here. Not me, I love it here. I'm disabled. And there is resources here to help people like me here. I am so grateful to live here. Love and Respect everybody 💯
^proud to live in a shithole
I've been here my whole life. Briefly lived other states. But Portland owns my heart

Was a beautiful city. Visited many times, but never again. Portland has become a hell hole.
Good to hear it. Please stay away from our beautiful city

Kind of reminds me of the bay area in nor cal with all the trees, bridges, and lakes. Beautiful 👍
It has lots in common with the bay area too such as crime, homelessness, a corrupt liberal goverment, and daily drug overdoses
Everyone sh*tting on Portland... Portland is amazing. Inclusive, hipster, moody, nature-filled, green, environmentally conscious and just all-around great. Stayed in LA, San Fran, Seattle, and Portland is by far my favorite. You just have to be there, downtown, in the rain. It’s amazing.
Love Portland.
Bully Billy Let me fix this for you: You’re an idiot. Open your eyes.
You are obviously not a home owner. Or, for that matter, a realist. Open your eyes to what is going on around you.
I've lived in Portland my life, and in my 20 years of living here I can definitely say that I love Portland. But you can't deny that Portland has some major issues. The homeless population and the drug problem are the worst ones. Don't get me started on the potholes
Leah Hutchinson in the rain to keep the fucking homeless away
If I recall correctly, Bonneville Dam as well as Multnomah Falls , are East of Portland , not West of Portland as the narrator mentions...
Yes you are right, I stand corrected.

Outstanding job on this video of Charlotte and the surrounding areas

My dream to comes to Oregon since 2014 I'm dreaming day by day with my family to start new life.
Where there Portland
Now this is how u show off a city by drone👏🏽
The voiceover saying ‘Whether you’re on the side of Antifa or the Proud Boys, you can agree that Portland is a beautiful city’, or however you ended that HORRIFIC sentence, is the most laughable vo I’ve ever heard and it feels like parody.
@Felix Daxton Coming from a cyber security background I can tell you that's utter BS. Scammers

Yea that’s an odd way of putting it

Another day and another my favorite place
Portland is amazing you can choose this city destination for all the pleasure , yes
I was just in Portland last week and was overwhelmed by the trash, graffiti and tents scattered all over the city. Unless you get out of downtown, Portland has become a wasteland.
true
Don’t buy any thing by it’s look. This is why I hate online shopping. People would only show you the good size if it but not the rotten sizes.
If you just stay out of old town & china town, you should be fine

Anyone from the PNW will agree that the Video doesn’t do justice !!! Blessed to live here!!
This city has come downhill since I came here 20 years ago. The garbage, the homeless on the streets, the panhandlers, tent cities along the roads and traffic have brought the livability of this city way down. Liberal policies and tolerance to these things have really hurt the city. I don't enjoy going into the city anymore.
sad but true.
To enjoy this outdoor persons paradise as some call it, you have to endure shitty policies, and if one is poor, they will rob you blind. Every cheap restaurant has gone up in price. The state steals a lot of my check in which they would not in a No Income Tax state. I have no true freedom in Oregon. I am an outsider from Massachusetts/NH area. I also lived in Florida, Tampa area as I see the creator has Tampa in his/her name. Tampa is superior to Portland, not counting St Petersburg even. The tax is very high to live here. It might not be the sunshine tax, but you get taxed in areas even Florida does not.
Portland area is the worst area I ever lived in and I been many places too. Between the people, the culture, everyones rude as fuck.
Thank goodness!
Sadly people have moved here to get away from where they were. The sad part is that they end up turning the new place into the place they left. I was born in Portland in 1956 and in the 60's we had Governor Tom McCall, his major theme then was " please visit Oregon, but don't stay" . We even had Tee Shirts that were negative about Oregon " people in Oregon don't tan, they rust" . I moved out of Portland , but continued to work there until a few years ago. Growing up this was a beautiful place and enjoyed Portland, but that has changed with growth and the ambivalence to the homeless, the dirty streets, and the violent anti-establishment groups that damage property. Companies have had to go out of business because they are not "Politically correct" , or liberal enough. Good luck and I hope that Portland survives better than San Francisco has.
During the recession when prices were low, many crooked greedy landlords bought up all the housing and apartments. They repainted the junk and more than tripled the rent in less than 10 years. Some used harassing methods, even giving out no cause evictions just to get people out, raise rent max for next tenant. There are flat out NO affordable housing for disabled, elderly and low income poor people. This is why the homeless has increased so much. So if you’ve moved to Oregon and have a high rent, know that there is probably 5 homeless for your shelter, all because of your greedy crooked evil landlord. They flat out put money above human life.
Nice video. ❤❤ I'm also living this Paradise
Beautiful city & beautiful video ❤
I was there a few years ago in July. It was overcast and drizzly. I watched this video so I could see Portland in all its glory.
Yep unfortunately its overcast and raining alot there, we timed it for a day of sun.
Dude, that must have been shot during the two days of summer we get every year.
Yea we purposely picked a Day of Sunshine.

Such a beautiful video of a beautiful city. I lived there 30 years and miss it still. The vitriol and ignorance in the comments below really stain this nice video.

TampaAerialMedia Dude a few comments ago you were saying Portland did indeed have a negative side while agreeing with someone’s defaming the city. How do you walk to the special rec center with no spine?
Portland isn’t a nice town anymore. It’s a third world shithole and shares the same love for feces, insane socialist politics, Antifa bigotry and public homosexual sex on meth as San Francisco
Nice, my home country, I was born in Newberg and moved to Florida not to long ago, I really do miss Oregon a bunch
I love Portland, Oregon. I don't let people or the weather dictate my day because that is weak.
I love this city, while I don't live there I visit a few times a year its such a shame with the homeless situation, I wish the city did more to help its citizens
I lived in Portland for the better part of the last 12 years (now, I am working and living in Europe), and while it has challenges, it is a wonderful place to live, and the most interesting bits didn't make it onto the video.
I lived in Paris for 22 years and came to Portland near my parents, and I really really regret it so far... I’m thinking of going to NYC, because it’s so boring here...
Seeing Portland in this sunny weather is practically impossible.
yea we timed it for the ideal time of year. We got lucky.

Passed and stop here on my way to Seattle a couple years ago. The city seems a bit dated/old, the roads in Oregon & Washington in general have a vintage feel. Seattle itself is beautiful but not too big. I’m from California, just outside of the Bay Area.
I live in Portland Oregon love it it’s so beautiful and such a good city also the dam and the falls and the gorge is so beautiful I think it’s honestly more pretty then Cali

I was born in Portland and lived the first ten years of my life in the NE Fesseden area. My folks moved to Laurelwood when I was ten, then onto Carlton until I was 15 and then moved to CA and been here ever since.
Hermosa ciudad.
Used to be when I was a kid but then everyone moved here and turned it into a trash heap
That's exactly how I feel about Portland... When I grew up it use to be actually diverse and wasn't so overpriced. :/

I have lived in Portland all of my life 47 1\2 years I absolutely 💘 it !!! And yes it has changed all !! Some changes for the best and some for the worst just like everywhere else !! Yes the homeless population is crazy or should I say off the hook !! However, the cost of living has gone up so high that it is impossible to make it!! I'm actually considering moving away because I need security I need to know that I can make it on my own and not end up homeless !! Just so you know homeless is not always a choice. There are people out there that have tried to help people and have consequently ended up being homeless themselves !! For single person to make it by themselves in Portland on minimum wage they would have to get 3 full-time jobs which isn't humanly possible to do !! Also have you looked into what the deposits are to get into a place ? And where does that money come from ? Some of weren't born with silver spoons in our mouths !! I have basically he'd to work for everything that I have and I don't have anything including assets of any kind . Right now how I see it is that we are all one step away from being homeless ourselves !! And I fully understand that we have the ones that leave great big messes and just don't care . Also we do have the one's that do care that go the extra mile to clean up after themselves !!! Just food for thought it's not always a choice to be homeless !!
What were the changes for the best? I missed that part
I have been 15 state and Portland is most DEPRESSING PLACE that I have never been. The reality is Beyond this video. I truly dont recommend anybody to move here. I have gain so much weight since I moved, i am very stressed all the time, the outside weather is always, WELL MOST of THE DAYS are cloudy, rainy and foggy and this doesn't invite to do any outside activity. I can't wait to move out soon.

Lol what’s with this propaganda fueled, sitting 800+ miles away, listening to the media and never going out hate toward Portland? I’ve been to Portland about 3x since the whole protest started to happen for business trips, and my last stop was about 2 weeks ago. Sure during the heat of it all, protest were insane, but if you were to walk like 7 blocks away from the federal buildings, it would seem like nothing is happening at all. Portland continuing on as usual and people living their normal lives. Portland is absolutely charming and lovely. So much character to it. The brews are good and the food scene is top notch. Plus, if city life isn’t your thing, their is TOP TIER nature within 30 mins of Portland. People making Portland seem like a total wasteland, but I was just their and all the neighborhoods, and most of downtown was standing gorgeous and unaffected and people resuming their normal life. Sure they have a homeless situation, but compared to LA, where I live and NY, heck, even a republican led city in Dallas, it isn’t out of hand bad. I’ve been all over Europe and the United States and Portland is just special.
I'm from Brazil More I really like this city the best city in the united states
It can be nice, but I think the US has many better cities.
Multnomah Falls is east of Portland.
True, thanks for the correction.
Portland looks like a great place to bike. Thanks for sharing.
Yep it is.
Not anymore

IDK why many people are being negative (creator included) about this city its better looking than most big cities especially New York and Boston and we have a unique green style, we have nice sports teams and more stop SPREADING HATE
Don't know what I was negative about. Thought I was pretty positive showing the good side of Portland.

Have lived in Portland for over a decade.
It's gone downhill a lot. The homeless ruin the appeal of the city.
They really need to do something about the homeless.
The city is their bathroom and they leave trash everywhere they go.

It was a nice place to live years ago, then California moved in and brought what they were running from and trashed it! Need Tom Macall back!

I think it’s awesome how green our state is.. but unfortunate how we don’t take as good care of it as we can and should !
What happened? 5 years ago it was clean and beautiful.
A very small part of the state is green. Typical Portlander, thinks Portland is Oregon. The overwhelming majority of Oregonians hate Portland, wish it would disappear.

If you consider countless homeless people & drug addicts on the streets, with high rates of crime to go along with them to be beautiful, Portland is definitely the place for you. I'm glad that I left 30 years ago when it was a really nice place.
