You just made it a little warmer 👍, Hopefully you can get the rest insulated & vaper barrier up so you don't start getting condensation in your walls, But yes we do what we can when we can afford it, I was there a few years ago ! The heat always goes out through the roof so the more you get done the better it will be 👍, Good luck"
Thanks!! What I've actually found is in using rough lumber 1x6 as opposed to 4x8 sheets of OSB or something, my walls have never sweat, even with it -25 outside and +25 inside, now with that being said I've built with OSB and my oh my what an absolute nightmare it was with the walls sweating! Live and learn!
Another great video! Yess a railing is a must! Wouldnt want ya tripping and getting hurt! Even if its a temp one made from tree branches. I have a book with every bird thats in my state! I love that book! 😊 i love hearing your stories!
Thanks so much!! For sure! I appreciate ya looking out, it’s in the works. Lots of things to do with only 1 person and 2 hands its a lot sometimes hahaha. My grams bird book is the same, it has everything! I would love to go on an actual birdwatching adventure :)
@@MapleMonkeyHomestead not enough time in a day is what I always say and when you got a mind that's all of the place is hard to manage your time but also have fun while your doing it witch you seem to do!
You have a lot of room upstairs glad to see u working on the cabin absolutely love that sweater if that was mine i wouldnt even wear ot it would just be pn display
Will be starting Carving again back over the winter months when cabin fever kicks in hahaha. I have a sort of catalogue for the spoon designs I'll have :)
I hear ya! I have about a million next projects, so I guess priority just depends on who ya ask. I rarely have guests so if I fall I'm the only one to blame LOL, but yes it will be in an upcoming episode for sure. Thanks for looking out :) Cheers
hi,I would do more is make the your bedroom loaf built more wider.using 2x6 across the bottom and your floor ,like 4 feet more wider and do the stairs straight down, and turn your bed against the wall .by the window.and put some railing sides,in the bedroom.
It would be nice but I like the loft the way it is, an extra couple of sqft of space isn't going to make or break me. It gives downstairs a larger feeling with it being open as well
hi, the stairs well not look bigger, move on the other side your stairs, and straight down, if you do it to where is your first window is. ,by heater.and you could built storage under it, and close it in walls on three sides..you would have room to get to the heater on both sides.
Those braces we call collar ties used to keep the rafters from spreading apart were I'm from, but anyway l do like your sweatshirt Psalms 91 great prayer of protection, hey after your incident with the fiberglass insulation down stairs with the mice, that foil wrap insulation I hear is great, and if you check on market place you usually can find some poly board pretty cheap,I ask Lowes and home depot if they had any poly board that would be discounted and they had a flat cart stacked 6 full sheets of 2inch thick poly boards 4x8 sheets regular price $60 a sheet because they had a little bit of scraping not really damaged lil bit of dirt on a few they sold me for $12 a sheet I took to my property and washed with a brush and good as new,so when in big box stores look for damaged goods that are sitting around on a cart thats reduced, just saying
Good Call! Im always on the hunt for deals but never thought to ask if they have a discount section for broken sheets. Definitely have to look in that, thanks for the great idea!
@MapleMonkeyHomestead yes if you go shortly after they open they load carts up on the floor with damaged items,I bought 2x12x16 planks that were a little scraped up or had some marks from their label paint on them or sheets of 4x8 OSB & PLYWOOD THAT WERE DINGED UP A LITTLE FOR $7 A 4X8 SHEET, ALL TYPES OF ITEMS,GO IN AND ASK OR LIKE ME I MADE FRIENDS WITH SOME EMPLOYEES WHO SAY HEY BOB DID YOU SEE THIS CART

The cabin is looking great! I can’t wait to get our walls done!
Have a great week! 😊
Right!! One thing at a time will get there :)
When it comes to the final interior design and such, I cannot wait!!

I hope you are able to finish the deathstairs landing and railing soon.😊
It will definitely be an up coming project, good project for a rainy day inside
When you start carving i would like a cooking spoon and salad bowl with pretty designs
Will be starting Carving again back over the winter months when cabin fever kicks in hahaha. I have a sort of catalogue for the spoon designs I'll have :)
Man, your very next project should be that railing. Someone is going to fall, and it's going to become a serious issue! 🥵🤪

None of the other projects will happen should you fall tho. Safety first! 👵🏽

You ought to just use slates from pallets for your wall covering up there, free is always great! Just takes time to break the pallets down.
I was thinking that but still not sure which way I wanna go. Thanks for the tip

Great tip! Thanks so much for tuning in! I hope you have a wonderful evening :)
hi,do you have any 2x6 boards you could do the the top floor to make it wider.
I do but I'm not going to, It leaves down stairs looking bigger than it is
Hi Adam did you get the shower finished
Too rainy, it's why I've been doing chores inside :)
Own the land or lease
Own
stay warm.
For sure! I have a nice toasty fire going now :) Hope you have a wonderful day :)

How about making the “railing” of the second floor into a bookcase? Multipurpose 😊
