I don't like sequel trilogy but this would make Rise of Skywalker better and a better finish than bringing back Palps.
If anything, I agree that it's clear that Snoke was meant to be so much more. In the Aftermath novels, Palpatine sensed a powerful force sensitive being in the unknown regions, which was obviously Snoke. Disappointing to see them retcon Snoke, considering they could have just said Snoke used a Force Projection in Last Jedi and faked his death. There's too much contrary evidence for me to accept Snoke being Palpatine's pawn as canon.
Yeah, that was always believed that Palpatine sensed Snoke in the Unknown Regions, but now they can retcon that and just say he sensed Exegol, which sounds less interesting. As for Snoke faking his own death, I never liked that theory. Because if he did do a force projection, the lightsaber would had just gone right through him and not cut anything (like Kylo trying to cut Luke on Crait). Not only that, but Snoke's physical body wouldn't just be laying on the ground the whole time either. We don't know how long exactly Kylo was out cold for, but when he did wake up, Snoke's body was still there. Would take way too much energy (even for Snoke) to keep faking his death through force projection. Look at Luke, he was a Jedi Master, and he was unable to hold his force projection for too long, and in the end it killed him.
@@SYLOStarWars I see what you're saying, and you are right that Snoke would never be powerful enough to Force Project himself in that way for such a long time. The reason as to why I believe Snoke could've done that is because of his black diamond ring. It was said in leaks of the Last Jedi that Snoke had been around since the Old Republic era, and that he had been a Force vampire, draining the Force essence from Force sensitives allowing him to live longer. I always thought that it was possible that Snoke could've gain more power through his crystal ring, and the original working title for IX before Abrams was in charge was Black Diamond (I am aware that the mineral is actually obsidian). One more thing, the Last Jedi visual dictionary describes Snoke as someone who never appeared as he actually was, and projected himself always to his underlings. TROS dictionary changes elements from the TLJ dictionary, minor ones that many would look over. The evidence doesn't matter now, but at one point, I believe that the original intention may have been to have Snoke come back one day, maybe even in Rian's trilogy.
Story that we should have in rise of Skywalker: Snoke left Kylo to kill him in the last Jedi because he thought that the dark side would fully consume him. In the Rise of Skywalker we would see Snoke soul transfer to new Snoke body. Snoke would than present himself as a Darth Plagueis. I don't like The Force Awakens and the Last Jedi but this would make Rise of Skywalker better and a better finish than bringing back Palps.
This makes sense. I remember hearing when they were making TLJ that Snoke would be a puppet, but I was surprised to see that he was a CGI character. He was a puppet of Palpatine not an actual puppet.
I doubt Palpatine he was supposed to come back. I think they were forced into a corner because of Last Jedi and Rian Johnson to bring him back. I think Snoke was supposed to live and Rey would defeat him in the Rise of Skywalker. Which no idea why it is called or named Rise of Skywalker Rey and Kylo are not one.
I’m a bit confused tho, I thought Palpatine was speaking and acting through Snoke as he did say he was every voice Ben had been hearing inside his head. And we later hear from Leia that Palps had been pulling he strings the whole time. Your explanation makes sense with the whole keeping info from each other, but at the same time, couldn’t Palpatine, through Snoke, have simply not been aware of the dyad and honestly belief that he had bridged their minds? Just something I’m a bit lost on. The movie probably could’ve explained it better. Thanks for the video!
Palpatine knows all about the dyad as it’s something entrenched within Sith culture. Apparently the Rule of Two aims to create it but always fails. Snoke has no idea of any of this.
SYLO: Star Wars that makes sense but also it didn’t seem like Snoke was aware of a dyad either as he believed he had merely bridged Ben and Rey’s minds. The movie made it seem like Snoke was nothing more than a vessel for Palpatine to act through. Not as a new body, but just as a temporary one to lead the first order. The movie didn’t explain it very clearly but that was my interpretation.
1. The plot about Snoke is unnecessarily complicated 2. Some of the key questions are either answered off-screen or not answered at all 3. Newly introduced characters have so weak story arc that you either forget them or don't care about them 4. Old and nostalgia characters are just killed off in very stupid way which pays them no tribute I could go on like this for hours :D
Funny enough the original plan was to have Snokr true Master Tor Valum, ancient Dark Side creature which sidious contacted in unknown space as a last effort if he was ever defeated. Tor Valum then sends Snoke and the remnant empire back to invade in search for Ben Solo, as he had all the markings of becoming the next Darth Vader but they had to kill Luke First as Luke successfully stop Vader last time and this time he's far more powerful than all of them. Which absolutely suites ep 7 and 8 story line... Tor Valum believed Ben like his Grand Fsther Anakin could gain access to Mortis whom no longer had a ruler since Anakin killed them and he could take the power for himself, connecting both the Clone Wars with the Sequels as well.... Snoke was just a powerful apprentice whom served as Tor Valum Apprentice and was horrendously disfigured because he attempted to enter Mortis only to be turned into the frail virtually death entity he was in the movies.... The only thing that needed to be retconned would be Luke trying to kill Ben, they should of just had Ben manipulated by Snoke to kill all the Jedi to replicate Anakin killing the younglings
Bro you right! Snoke was going to kill Rey and Palpatine wanted her for his plan even though he could just get in his body through a ritual. But you right palps was just really a moniter in snokes mind and tell lies to get what he wants like he lied to Anakin. Snoke prophecied his own death because he was Kylos true enemy but yet he didn’t see that coming but I do think palpatine knew some things because he felt it through the force and he was a manipulator but was not in full control. So I think palpatine blinded or clouded Snokes intuition in the force allowing him to slip up. Because he looked pretty shocked like he didn’t see that coming.
It would have been better had Snoke been one of the kids Anakin attacked in REVENGE OF THE SITH who Palpatine raised as a kind of secret apprentice. That's the simple solution.
Its obvious to note that Palpatine useing a cover like snoke was pretty genius. Also interesting that snorkel hwad was 2 times the size of a normal head hahaha. Like wtf. And snoke surrounded itself with programed guardians? That says a lot. And it couldn't sense the connection between minds? And this anf that x100. 💩
I heard that Snoke was going to be revealed as Mace Windu who survived Palpatine. That would have been so much better in my opinion or even making him Darth Plaegus the wise.
Thats a shame that Snoke was just another tool in Palpatines plans. Darth Plageuis would have been much better and enigmatic to the movie. He was practically a Sith God with his discoveries in Sith Sorcery and Alchemy. He was Muun and it would have been amazing to explore another species rather than a clone of exotic Sith magic.
So let me get this straight… The goal of a sith is to ultimately groom a successor that would one day murder you to take on another apprentice to murder them and so forth. Seems like an unsuccessful pyramid scheme… terrible business plan. Yet they some how they still end up the richest force in the galaxy. The true force is the paper apparently.
Ah! Gotcha! Yeah, I totally see where you're coming from. Snoke did have potential at first, just a shame they went with such an uncreative route with him.
In all honesty, it’s not a bad way of tying everything together under the circumstances. It makes enough sense for me to suspend my disbelief for the most part. Still, I wish it had been more planned out and we got to see what JJ’s ACTUAL original plan had been for Snoke
For sure. JJ planned for Snoke to be the final villain, and wasn't a fan of Johnson killing him off in the middle of the trilogy. Sure, it gave us Supreme Leader Ren as a result which I liked, but at the same time I would had loved to see Snoke's true origin and purpose realized on film.
SYLO: Star Wars Yeah. There is a lot I liked about TLJ, but at the same time, it left us with an ending that just had me asking, “Where the hell do they go from here?”
What a shitshow was ep. VIII, ep. IX could have been decent if they properly planned how to develop the story from Point A (Scrapper Rey) to Point B (end of ep. IX), but noooo, Ryan Johnson had to make a full circle film with 0 progress anywhere.
I think JJ Abrams needs an award for pulling it back at all. 8 was a mess of bad ideas and he did well too pull it back from the fire. Snoke should of had his own dark side cult with the knights of ren utilised more as he died so easily he could be no great dark side user snoke ended up being very weak which was a major let down
The Diad in the force was not created by Kylo "Mind Probing" Rey, it was due to both Anakin and Rey's father being created using the same Sith Ritual created by Plageuis.
I never said Kylo created the dyad, I said he created the force connection between him and Rey, and that is only possible because they're a dyad. This information is clearly stated in the visual dictionary.
I think this hole clone story of him is not that great. It would have been better if Snoke was just a dark force user and palpatine waited to raise until Kylo ren has killed Snoke. Snoke was in his way to come back because palpatine was not strong enough at that moment.
Snoke was supposed to be Darth Plagueis the wise. But Rian Johnson came along and screwed up the entire franchise because he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else and thinks he knows what we want

This makes sense. I remember hearing when they were making TLJ that Snoke would be a puppet, but I was surprised to see that he was a CGI character. He was a puppet of Palpatine not an actual puppet.
Created by Palpatine but snoke's page say's he's an ancient being aged: 200+
"Bring me the precious"
I doubt Palpatine he was supposed to come back. I think they were forced into a corner because of Last Jedi and Rian Johnson to bring him back. I think Snoke was supposed to live and Rey would defeat him in the Rise of Skywalker.
Which no idea why it is called or named Rise of Skywalker Rey and Kylo are not one.
Kylo is a Skywalker because of his mom Leia Skywalker daughter of Anakin & Padme Skywalker so yeah a Skywalker
From Day 1 Snoke was just some Emperor cypher. Say what you will about the prequels; they were at least original
1. The plot about Snoke is unnecessarily complicated
2. Some of the key questions are either answered off-screen or not answered at all
3. Newly introduced characters have so weak story arc that you either forget them or don't care about them
4. Old and nostalgia characters are just killed off in very stupid way which pays them no tribute
I could go on like this for hours :D
Simple answer is Abrams had no idea. Who was he supposed to be? No idea. Just go with the convoluted retcon
A jam jar. Pickled Snoke.
It's simple Disney fuck everything up the new trilogy doesn't make sense
So basically Snoke was Palpatine's metaphorical puppet leader like how Almec was Maul's on Mandalore
Except Snoke was apparently unaware of Palpatine, where as Almec knew all about Maul.
@@SYLOStarWars Oh, I see, thanks for clearing that up (event though I had to go to wookiepedia to help me understand) and for posting this video
What a shitshow this final trilogy was
It would have been better had Snoke been one of the kids Anakin attacked in REVENGE OF THE SITH who Palpatine raised as a kind of secret apprentice. That's the simple solution.
how funny would it be if that was jar jar binks to the dark side
Snoke is an old demon God in a witchcraft book that cost alot of money I need to find that video
Disney should have just made the Expanded Universe canon. Would have solved this problem
Sources?
Idk why they just didn't make snoke plagues
I got LEGO smoke minifigure :)
Other people say he could be mace windu
For once they didn't use "The Force" as an answer to our questions.
if snoke is just a clone then why are all of the other snoke clones just as fucked up as him
Have you ever heard of the tragedy of Darth Snoke?
Can I get a link to thst intro music
Snoke just got more interesting
quite the opposite
Has anyone thought he looks like Tarkin?
I heard that Snoke was going to be revealed as Mace Windu who survived Palpatine. That would have been so much better in my opinion or even making him Darth Plaegus the wise.
So Snoke is Rey's....uncle?
From a certain point of view... yes lol
This trilogy was just missed opportunity after missed opportunity.
Why snoke is clone why can palpatine use cloning for a army or clone maul or vader.
Because plot. We've seen Maul and Vader already. If they were "cloned", it would just suck. At least Snoke is new.
Why couldn't dooku ever comeback as a clone he had same access right
Prob cause he died in real life and didn't want to mess with getting a new actor that is similar
@@ethant3747 sorry didn't know he died wbu grievous or mace windu aint they possible you would think the jedi would somehow get access to the cloning
@@danielgoodwin9811 im not sure if its canon or not but they did clone jedi and it worked
@@ethant3747 sweet obviously Yoda is out though
@@danielgoodwin9811 ig they could clone ahsoka because she could still be alive
Anyone know which Duel of the Fates Remix plays at the intro? 0:01
Snooke was an empty throw away character
i think im more confused.
This Snoke thing is so confusing.
Yep, which is why I saw there being a need exactly for this video.
Star wars died with Disney. This movie was a figment of my imagination.
They should have just went with Legends
How though? Snoke never existed in Legends. He's a Disney era creation.
@@SYLOStarWars I know... Disney should have went with the legend stories instead of trying to create their own.
Ah!
Disney Trash Fire.
What a shitshow was ep. VIII, ep. IX could have been decent if they properly planned how to develop the story from Point A (Scrapper Rey) to Point B (end of ep. IX), but noooo, Ryan Johnson had to make a full circle film with 0 progress anywhere.
Hello
4KidsOneCamera there
Hi
Lol, this video almost makes this story make sense.
NON CANNON!!!
Honestly, sounds like a lot of retroactive bullshit from the writers.
This entire trilogy was nothing but a giant fart from Disney.
I think JJ Abrams needs an award for pulling it back at all. 8 was a mess of bad ideas and he did well too pull it back from the fire. Snoke should of had his own dark side cult with the knights of ren utilised more as he died so easily he could be no great dark side user snoke ended up being very weak which was a major let down
Ne on kaiken pahan alku ja juuri
i was not impressed with snoke, i was like,,meh
Star wars ia cool and all but the narratives flew straight put the window a long time ago. That comic book style for ya. Drama over sense
The Diad in the force was not created by Kylo "Mind Probing" Rey, it was due to both Anakin and Rey's father being created using the same Sith Ritual created by Plageuis.
Ben Solo and Rey are both descendants of this ritual's magic and the medichlorians they possess come from this ritual.
I never said Kylo created the dyad, I said he created the force connection between him and Rey, and that is only possible because they're a dyad. This information is clearly stated in the visual dictionary.
I hate the disney trilogy.
I think this hole clone story of him is not that great. It would have been better if Snoke was just a dark force user and palpatine waited to raise until Kylo ren has killed Snoke. Snoke was in his way to come back because palpatine was not strong enough at that moment.
Honestly sequel trilogy is garbage and trash.
Snoke was supposed to be Darth Plagueis the wise. But Rian Johnson came along and screwed up the entire franchise because he thinks he’s smarter than everyone else and thinks he knows what we want
you know a series is shit when you need a visual dictionary to provide explanation and backstory to the MAIN VILLAIN. smh
Such a dumpster fire of a franchise
Why didn't you put a spoiler warning in the beginning, c'mon man
That's on you for watching Star Wars videos, dumbass.
My nigga the video is called "Snoke's Origin" how could it not be a spoiler
