I cannot get ENOUGH of the new DLC. I was still playing DDLV almost daily, since getting it the HOUR it released. But some things had become habitual-harvesting, mining, decorating/redecorating small sections at a time…I’m a Disney gal, so anything Disney, even repetitive, brings me a spark of joy. But this DLC is amazing and feels like the early days of the game. I was thrilled that there were all new materials and things to discover…even the mist currency (the parallel to the Dreamlight) that I’m having to actively complete activities to accrue. It’s all wonderful and a new spark to the game. These developers earned the $30 purchase and then some. Hey-nobody works for free and this DLC isn’t just a few skins and extra items. It’s truly a new game chapter. I can’t wait to see what else they deliver in the future, and I’ll happily pay for more!
As much as the dlc is worth it it needs to be separate from dreamlight valley completely. For people that don’t buy the expansion, villagers are asking for items from the expansion it can take 3-4 days to give 5 favorite items to complete the give 5 favorite items tasks for the star path.
This DLC is 100% worth every penny. We still have 2 more updates for it as well! Plus you got 5k moonstones with your purchase of the DLC. It is like a whole new game! I love it. The ancient machines are one of my favorite features as well as the scramblecoin.
how are you winning at scramblecoins im always losing i have like a like a 8 coin lead and then the rng just rigs me on the last round puts the gold coins net to them where i cant reach it cause the round before put me the other side
@@DarkN1nja77 Well I had beginners' luck with Mickey and beat him the first game but then I was on a losing streak. lol I have unlocked like 7 character pieces now and they are just better than the starting ones, so I am winning more often. Get Scrooge on the board right away and switch out for goofy when the gold pieces show up if other characters can't reach them.
The Expansion Pass is definitely worth it, it’s basically an entire new game. I do wish they had redesigned the shop and Remy’s to better fit the ancient aesthetic. Maybe there will be skins in the furture🤞🏼
It’s super easy to level characters up, just bring them with you to do all your tasks, mainly farming, even if that’s not their speciality, talk to them all and give them flowers and their favourite gift. I’ve been playing 2 weeks and have opened 4 doors, all the biomes are open, and I’ve maxed out every character so far, and my character is maxed out. This is only one of 5 games I play regularly, (GTA5, RDR2, DIVISION 2, WWZ, AFTE and more, so I’ve not been grinding this game by any means. Hope that helps, have fun and good luck. PS. I’m a big Disney fan, so I’ve also watched every movie related to each new character I unlock. WALL-E, MOANA, RATATOUILLE, WRECK IT RALPH, LILO & STITCH, FROZEN, TANGLED etc, it’s made the game even more fun...I LOVE IT, and I love building like I do in NMS.
The jungle area is absolutely stunning! I am taking my time and enjoying every second of exploring, but I can’t wait to unlock the jungle. Only me and Repunzel will live in the area. ❤❤❤
I haven't bought it yet but it's annoying that my villagers favorite gifts of the day are things I can only get from the expansion pack. Usually it's one or two for villager
I bought the DLC this morning and literally played it the whole day. I wasn't playing DDV for a while and I was just really bored but decided to get Mike and Sully. Then I found out about the DLC and it's literally so so amazing I'm in line with DDV again. I still have so much to do in it and i loveeee Rapunzel sm. Definitely worth every penny and then some.
I'm loving the new Biomes so far, was originally planning to move my Eternity Isle house to the Wild Tangle but I found a better spot for it in the Oasis section of the Glittering Dunes. Tbh, I agree completely about the Remy's Restaurant situation. With 3 and possibly more new characters coming in this expansion pass, it would've been better if the Eternity Isle Chez Remy had it's own unique clientele or a new upgrade option.
The expansion looks amazing, but I only started playing a couple of months ago and haven't finished the valley and characters yet. My plan was to take my time, finish everything and then purchase the update. However, I am disappointed to see that for characters I am still leveling up, all of their favorites now come from Eternity Isle, so leveling them up will have to come from having them help with whatever task I chose for them or doing quests. You would think that their favorites wouldn't include items or recipes that are from an island that I do not have access to without buying the upgrade. Still love the game, but really?
Oh that’s so weird!? It’s requiring items from a DLC you don’t have installed??? I feel like that’s not right. That definitely doesn’t make sense. I do like your plan though to take your time!
I have the same issue. I started playing around a month ago and I thought it was a bug. What makes it even worse is that the star path has gifting tasks and some of those gifts I can't make due to not having the dlc yet. I will buy it only when I'm done with the base game content. I love the game however this is such a bummer :(
Yes, I am so enjoying it. Life is hard right now as my Brother just passed and being able to sink into Dreamlight Valley gives my brain and my heart a little break from it all. @@LetzPlayK
The great thing is that if you garden, you can use a level 10 gardening helper to harvest, but then switch to a character you need to level when you plant and water, so they get the exp. Works great!! @@mireiamv3215
I wanted to add a note! I play on the newly released Apple Arcade version for mobile. I do believe this comes with the game on Apple Arcade since I just unlocked eternity isle ( I started playing yesterday ) I unlocked it when I logged on today. And was able to go to the island & start the quests
Finished all star path, buying a lot of premium shop items... Without paying except the premium founder pack the release day and now the DLC. Actual pricetag for the DLC seem fair.
i knew i was going to buy the expansion, i just didnt know when. This video made it nice and clear for me. I want to fully finish dream valley before moving forward. If i would of bought it right off the bat, i would be too overwhelmed lol Awesome video!
I’m actually thinking about getting this DLC. Everybody in my family has it, those being my Mom, Brother-In-Law, and my sister. They’ve all been telling me to get it. Plus, I’m REALLY close to getting EVERYTHING done in the base game.
I just bought the game yesterday, and I must say it’s definitely worth the money. I’ve already completed the first act of the game, and can’t wait for new updates as well as updates to the base game! I’m very intrigued about how this “very lucky” villager will be an importance to the second act when it comes out in spring, and many people have said that it’ll be Oswald, which I’d definitely be looking forward too. Overall, I’m very excited for the future updates, and I’ll definitely follow the devs to see what new updates they’ll bring to the isle and the valley!
I do love the expansion however my one issue is that it’s account locked so if you have an Xbox or PlayStation with different accounts on it, it won’t automatically be added to your other accounts. You have to purchase it for each account. So if you have kids that use the same console I would not recommend getting it unless you’re willing to spend the $30 on each account.
Yea this is something I really don’t like and wish there was a way around it. It’s not unheard of but definitely frustrating especially for a game that is cross play
Thank you for reviewing the dlc the reviews on steam made me iffy about getting it but watching this video made me want to buy it but I am gonna wait to purchase it I wanna get further into the game first but thank you this video really helped me realize how good this dlc really is I can’t wait to buy it 😊
I just downloaded it yesterday and love it! I am, however, waiting for gameloft to fix a known issue where I can’t cook anything, so I’m only able to complete things that don’t require cooking. It’s a bit of a bummer, but it is what it is. But I love Eve! I hope we can get her and Wall-E together!!
I grew up playing hardcore PVP games and fast reflex based shooters, fighters and strategies. I always loved tough and punishing gameplay that took time to master. Now, as a man in his early 30s, something changed. The games I enjoy the most are these cozy life sims that seemingly mainly women and girls like. I like watering my little plants and making little cartoony friends and giving them presents. My testosterone levels must have plummeted to the point of no return.

Stardew Valley, Graveyard Keeper, Coral Island, My time at Portia, Sun Haven, some off genre titles like the Forager and a bunch of others I can't think of from the top of my head. Will definitely give this one a go at some point as well.
Yeah one thing I notice that in the dreamlight valley u can craft dreamlight with dreamshards, but we can't craft in rift in time for more mist wich sucks bcs u don't get mist 100% from the hourglass or removing the purple rocks
my only complaint is there is not enough wells to travel in. They have made basically 3+ biomes, per biome with only 1-2 wells. There should be one in every named area.
Definitely would make things easier! I wonder if we can move the wells around to help with that. I know the one in achients landing can’t be moved but some of the others I think we can?
I don’t regret the purchase of the expansion at all. There is so much to uncover. The content is so good and the items that we can craft are so beautiful.
Not too sure about the new board game mini game, but the rest of this sounds nice. I've been playing this a while and love to just relax by fishing, making fish sandwiches and mellowing out with the music on the radio.

It will be cool if they make Tiana help us out with FOOD like instead of cooking, Tiana will have desserts, breakfast and lunch ready for us to just buy when we need food bcs we don't have enough ingredients for a certain meals (what do yall think?)
Expansion almost feels like a whole sequel, and it has helpful stuff for ddv, THIS is how you do expansions, it’s 100% worth it, you can get both the game and the expansion at 70$ total, the price of a full game, and it’s the only thing I needed to spend, the cosmetic store and battle pass you can get for free if you simply keep playing, I didn’t have to spend a penny for those. There’s a lot of content in here and it will keep growing bigger.
Does it feel weird to anyone else that we're still paying for content with bugs in it? But if you don't get the DLC, the original game feels dead now. Plus, characters want new items that don't exist to you yet. It all comes across as rushed to me and doesn't reflect the money and time (and patience) a lot of us have put in already. Going from Free to Paid was inevitable but things like this really put salt in the wound.
I’m undecided about the dlc, as I play on game pass instead of owning the game directly. One thing that’s so incredibly annoying is that now every villager in the base valley wants 2 or 3 daily gifts that are exclusive to the DLC, so leveling them up is now a slog 😬

It seems on switch that the max items 3000 stays 3000 with Eternity isle and after 2x1/2 biome in the valley the item count is 2000 so i can't decorate Eternity isle. 😢
I have a question (tho you might not see this) but I just bought DDV with the Rift in Time pack yesterday, I'm barely understanding the mechanics of the game and they're already sending me to Eternity Isle. Should I ignore it and advance more in DDV? I mean I've only met 5 characters so far!

After spending the top tier version of the switch game, I'm not inclined to be playing this game ever again because of the paywalls from Hell. They should be giving any DLC for free. This is ridiculous. I SPENT $80 FOR THE TOP TIER VERSION AND AFTER THEY ADDED A ACTUAL STORE THAT REQUIRES REAL MONEY AND AFTER THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND TO INCLUDE EVEN MORE GREEDY PRACTICES, I REFUSE TO SUPPORT GREED.
The DLC looks interesting. A shame I have kind of given up on the game. It's been giving me Online Services Unavailable since as far back as October. Even submitting a ticket did little. I was simply told. Oh, it's a known issue try using a hotspot. Which also did not work, so I just gave up since it is STILL giving the error even now. Which kind of bums me out, Might actually be the first Starpath I miss out on. I like the game of course but didn't feel worth it to play offline. No starpath, no chests spawning. No taking part in or voting on DreamSnap stuff. And while at the moment it's very basic no multiplayer obviously. So very limited to play in offline mode.
No not worth it, but will still probly get, I've seen what it adds, and I think it's at best a 25 dollar value, not 30, so like everything in today's world its over priced

I think it’s a great idea to play through the main storyline in the valley before jumping into the expansion! That’s exactly what I would have done!

Plus, characters want new items that don't exist to you yet. It all comes across as rushed to me and doesn't reflect the money and time (and patience) a lot of us have put in already. Going from Free to Paid was inevitable but things like this really put salt in the wound.

I’m undecided about the dlc, as I play on game pass instead of owning the game directly. One thing that’s so incredibly annoying is that now every villager in the base valley wants 2 or 3 daily gifts that are exclusive to the DLC, so leveling them up is now a slog 😬
This has also made me sad! I was planning on getting the DLC at some point, but for many of those that don't it doesn't seem very fair to require those things

I dont know but the new DLC is too expensive , we just get Gaston and Rappunzel also Eve Only ups and Also Runaway Jafar ... There's so many task on Plaza , and the map over huge ... i didnt like it ... i just bought because i played the game since Beginning ... so ugly for me

It seems on switch that the max items 3000 stays 3000 with Eternity isle and after 2x1/2 biome in the valley the item count is 2000 so i can't decorate Eternity isle. 😢
Eternity Isle has its own item limit

Yea that might be a glitch because Eternity Isle should have its own limit.
I have a question (tho you might not see this) but I just bought DDV with the Rift in Time pack yesterday, I'm barely understanding the mechanics of the game and they're already sending me to Eternity Isle. Should I ignore it and advance more in DDV? I mean I've only met 5 characters so far!
Oh yea I would definitely recommend that! If you’re new to the game, don’t focus on eternity isle. Just focus on the main valley for now

No the pets can’t be named and the only thing you can do right now is let them. You can feed the other critters around the world though

Clothes can be found in chests or in Scrooges shop! You also can get clothes from leveling up your friendships with villagers

After spending the top tier version of the switch game, I'm not inclined to be playing this game ever again because of the paywalls from Hell. They should be giving any DLC for free. This is ridiculous. I SPENT $80 FOR THE TOP TIER VERSION AND AFTER THEY ADDED A ACTUAL STORE THAT REQUIRES REAL MONEY AND AFTER THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND TO INCLUDE EVEN MORE GREEDY PRACTICES, I REFUSE TO SUPPORT GREED.
The DLC looks interesting. A shame I have kind of given up on the game. It's been giving me Online Services Unavailable since as far back as October. Even submitting a ticket did little. I was simply told. Oh, it's a known issue try using a hotspot. Which also did not work, so I just gave up since it is STILL giving the error even now. Which kind of bums me out, Might actually be the first Starpath I miss out on. I like the game of course but didn't feel worth it to play offline. No starpath, no chests spawning. No taking part in or voting on DreamSnap stuff. And while at the moment it's very basic no multiplayer obviously. So very limited to play in offline mode.
No not worth it, but will still probly get, I've seen what it adds, and I think it's at best a 25 dollar value, not 30, so like everything in today's world its over priced
