For all of the people asking in the comments, the Ancient Vacuum collects all the Night Thorns/Splinters of Fate in a biome. The level increases the reward given and will drop memories, coins, and seeds specific to the area it's in. It will also give Dreamlight and Time Mist but will cost Time Mist to operate. Edit: It does not give Dreamlight/Time Mist, after testing it out I've realised I claimed it elsewhere. The 2nd upgrade of the Vacuum however claims all Thorns/Splinters, plus all wild flowers and wild crops.

Thank you. Built the Level 3 Cooker a few night ago and this will come in handy. Unlocked all the Cooking Dreamlight Duties and I'm over cooking all the time for Energy.
I like how the cooker works. For me it was about the time I spent clicking buttons over and over. I also didn’t physically like doing that over and over haha! Because that time took away from gameplay or doing other things. I like that you can run around and grab it later.
Have you come across anything saying why they didn't convert existing dreamlight into mist? I had over 100,000 dreamlight accumulated but had to start completely over with Mist.
Seeing it in action, I personally feel like I wouldn't have a need for it. I could cook 10 meals faster than it makes 10 meals. The only reason I can see to utilize it efficiently is for pumpkin puffs, like you said, but even in that circumstance I never cook pumpkin puffs. I just sell my pumpkins for quick money. 😅
I dont think this machine was ever intended for speed. It's for efficiency. Set it and go and by the time you've used up the food you had already your next meals will be ready. Or for large quantities. I would rather do this then click through to make all the meals.

From my experience, I've found more Ancient Cores in Dreamlight Valley than on Eternity Isle. It also seems like having a high level Timebending Buddy might also increase the chances of finding rarer items?
One of the first things I would suggest is to upgrade the tool to remove the large time sand anomolies as once you do that, those all give you 90-110 mist each one you remove and when you are first clearing that is a couple thousand mist right there and they will respawn like everything else does
Gonna be honest; even though it’s annoying to keep clicking buttons to make the food, even making 10 of something is way faster the normal way. If it’s gonna cost us mist, it should at least be faster than cooking the normal way with button clicking 😅
It’s kind of like multitasking to me. I start the cooker to prepare 30 berry salads and go about my mist duties. When I get back, they’re done and I can leave them there for later or collect them. As far as mist goes, once you’re finished with all the quests, you start building up mist. I currently have 70k mist so using the cooker while running around with my hourglass and my timebender buddy, I usually net more than I spent.
Ok, this has nothing to do with your video but, idk who to ask about this, since yesterday I haven't been able to vote, I can click on the vote icon but nothing happens, the picture doesn't change and I get nothing, no moonstones for voting not even a "something went wrong error" .. I get nothing and I don't know what to do about it 😢
Anybody run into a glitch where the cooker menu pops up for 1 frame and thrn immediately disappears so i can't interact with it? I've restarted the game and still happening.
I have to be honest, I'm so disappointed in the decision to have auto cooking use mist. It saves no time. I love the DLC but hoping they change the cookers.
They should took notes from genshin impact auto cook but no hopefully lot of people complain so gameloft update the auto cooker to 99 meals mix only take 2-5 seconds not minutes

The Auto cooker give it an F+ because if you play genshin impact or tower of fantasy the Auto cook can cook 99 meals like 2-5 seconds not 20 minutes and only cook 10 meals mix gameloft failed the auto cook system
you have to remember that selling and cooking meals is part of in-game tasks, among other things. if you could just farm 99 meals in an instant there wouldnt be much to grind for. theres also 3 levels to all these machines, the higher ups could be faster!

Do you know if it gives back more time mist than it costs to operate it? Or is it completely random if it even collects time mist?

IT's so we don't burn through the content. Dreamlight will still be useful for the "FREE" path of the game. All future Realms in the dream castle

I really love the Acient Cooker! I cook 5 pumpkins because it gives you 4,115 coins and this machine made easier! 🥳

I went back to the valley with the hourglass and hunting for mist was so much easier there because....no hills 😅

I've put the cooker away in inventory, also I collected a partial before it finished so that may be part what's causing the problem
