It's beautiful for sure... but due to the fact that there are no useful ports and it's so pricy i'm not even considering buying it.
Gimmick for now. May get better in the future, i think they need a bigger touch-bar/screen to fully utilize touch input.

Of course I want to know if you're using the Touchpad a lot on daily basis, specially when the 'wonder how it works'-moment is gone!
What I want to know before you're using it for a while, do you agree with me it was been a better idea to put the touchpad above the trackpad, instead of above the whole keyboard? Look likes its easier to use?

Did that adapter worked with the MiniDisplay port monitor? Also have a Cinema Display (pre-thunderbolt) and not sure what adapter to get.

+Dominic Campese it offers a lot over one type of standardized cable. Not only is the connector similar, it can charge laptops, power multiple monitors, and transfer large amounts of data all over one came at the same time.

zollotech Aaron, I'm getting irritated that Apple concentrate so much on the iPhone that most of the Mac range are dated now. Do you feel that way? I hope that the Mac range doesn't get priced out of the mainstream market like the new MacBook Pro.

zollotech yes of course.. let us know how difficult the connectivity became after they removed direct usb ports HDMI port etc or is it okay with all that?

+randomrazr with video compression you will, think of it as .2 times 4 as there are 4 cores. So it's really 800 MHz
zollotech unless your pshing the machine to the limits, very negliable. i researched the hell out of that option for last years model that offered a .2gh difference on forums and programmers, engineers to gamers say the samething. its pretty much a waste of money to most people unelss your pushing the macbook to its limits. video compression, maybe a few seconds extra speed

Gotta love Apple. I know they build good stuff, but they charge you ridiculous prices and give you the absolute bare minimum for your money.

You can build a desktop pc for 2000$ which will be 3-4 times faster than this laptop. Or you can get a high end laptop with Nvidia geforce 1070 gpu for around 2000-2500$.

I wasn't really thinking about Surface book as that is also expensive and the price can't be justified. Even a Razer Blade 2016 with core i7, gtx 1060 is available for around 1500$ which is definitely a better deal than both the macbook pros and the surface book.
+Sandipan Saha people that are using devices for production of videos either on UA-cam or in movies or for music need something that's reliable and you don't have to think about. If I was to buy a Windows machine, I would get the surface book for the same reason. While I also have a gaming PC that I built, I still prefer Mac. The software I use is specific to Mac and I don't like the alternative. People who are looking at a MacBook Pro don't care about the price usually as we know it's expensive, but will work reliably for 3 to 4 years and is fully supported by Apple at a local Apple Store if you have a problem. You don't have to wait weeks to send it out and get it back. At most you wait a day.
