Respected Sir, I (Bhaskara Rao K) am working as a Software Engineer in Singapore and based out of Vizag. I am a frequent flyer and traveled to most of the Indian, Asian, and Europe,US Airports. I have good knowledge and understanding of Airports. I am glad to hear that the new Bhogapuram Greenfield International Airport is built with world-class standards. When I go through the design and specifications, most of the specs look good, but I suggest the terminal building can be better as its missing a major elevation design. i.e. lack of separate levels for Arrival and Departure, which is the standard best practice for new International airports. Small Airports like Mangalore,Trichy, Bhopal, Kannur also have separate levels. It would be great to see Bhogapuram Airport with such a design. It's time for the state govt. to complete the road connectivity via coastal corridor as promised before the start of commercial operations at this new airport.
Visakhapatnam airport lies between Delhi/ Mumbai, Far east and Australia. Therefore it must be promoted at an International aviation hub as per the look east policy.
GMR Airports Entrance is good with greenary but terminal buildings should be designed well compare to its present Airport terminal buildings at Hyderabad and Previously operated Bombay. At Hyderabad Terminal building is Very congested and Boarding gates sign boards are not accurate, but very confusing to reach everytime despite i travel regularly.

With all due respects, this airport has no expansion possibility. Only a single runway. A couple of gates more than the existing airport at INS Dega. It is an obscene design like pointing a middle finger. I watched the briefing provided to state CM and Central Aviation Minister.
➡️ For Hyderabad to develop, an Airport and a Ring road were needed, and YSR made that happen ✅ ➡️ For AP to develop, Airport and Ports are needed, and Jagan made that happen ✅ ⏭️ That's why companies like Ambani, Adani, and Raheja's are investing in AP after 2009 💯
➡️For IT development in Vizag, Infra like an Airport is essential, YS Jagan made that happen ✅ ➡️Bhogapuram Airport, nearing completion in 2026,is attracting IT industries like TCS,Adani &Raheja to Vizag,driving development ⏭️More Big Tech companies will invest in Vizag in coming yrs💯

As an opposition leader he opposed this project and promised to cancel it after asking for ' one chance ' and he actually did just like he did with polavaram and amaravati. Now all of a sudden he promoted it as if it is his vision to build the airport.

The name of the airport must retain the name 'Visakhapatnam"; This is necessary for the brand image of the city.
