Thanks for posting...nice job! Our countertop is in very similar condition and I'm going to try your method later today...thanks for the encouragement and details (I live in Canada, too)!
The struggle of time lapse! If you’re interested in seeing more I covered it more in my Instagram stories and posted it as a highlight if you’re actually interested in seeing more of the process of the application. Also happy to answer any questions you may have - it was basically just that easy though, paint ‘er on and let it dry and call it a day!

Beautiful job! I have some questions. How many hours did you spend to let them dry between the each coats? And did you remove the masking tape after the final coat? Any challenges of removing it??
초보남편 phillip thank you so much ☺️ so when reapplying the second and following coats, on the can it outlines the different options. Essentially you need to reapply either within an hour, or after waiting 24 hours. I’m impatient (and it was decently smelly) so I waited about 40 minutes and then applied the second coat, then waited about 40 mins and applied the little touch up spots. I then waited about 26 hours before doing the final coat with the brush to apply (because I wanted to wait and see what the finish was going to look like once dry after having used the roller to apply). I removed the tape after the 3rd coat had dried, before applying the final coat the following day and I’m very happy I did then because I hadn’t gotten right up close to the sink edge as it turned out, so when applying the final coat I just went really slowly around the sink without any tape and it worked out great. The tape removed very easily
If using the same product as I did, no need to seal it afterwards! There is an epoxy built-in which makes it super durable and resistant to scuffs, chips and wear ‘n’ tear 🙂
Did you experience any brush strokes or roller marks? I just did this and you can see the strokes in the light and I’m trying to figure out what I can do to get rid of them.
Kelly Shannon I did my top/final coat with a brush and there were light brush strokes apparent when it was wet but it dried flat! I found it to be a nicer finish than a roller (which I did the first 2-3 coats with- it left a bit of a dimpled look I found). Fingers crossed yours dries the same! 🤞🏼
It has held up great! Nothing has worn away or changed since it was initially applied and it cleans great ☺️ the only thing to keep an eye on is not leaving any items sitting out on it that would stain the crisp white
Oou I never even thought of this as a possibility! Probably even more durable than the epoxy paint, eh? Would there be more colour options as well? Thanks so much for sharing ☺️
I just bought some of that paint. I have some Formica samples that I’m going to paint to test. I also bought beyond paint white for countertops. You seal that with a sealer that I will test too. I noticed the appliance paint tends to stain for people.
F D yes correct that’s exactly what I was covering up! If it is roughly the same size, you will have more than enough product to complete the job if you use the same product I did. Hope yours turns out great :)
Hi Lorna, if it’s real marble then I think it definitely would as marble is quite porous and would hold it well! Though I would hate to know that marble countertops were being covered 😢 lol but yes overall I wouldn’t see an issue with the adhesion
Thanks for sharing this. I plan to do the same thing with my bath counter. Appreciate this! Very helpful! 🕊🌷🌞
You’re very welcome, good luck!
Perfect tutorial. Thank you so much for sharing ❤
Nice video, can't wait to try this in my kitchen, keep up the good work :-)
Thank you, ahh let me know how it goes! I am also debating doing it in the kitchen in the future :)

Aint no law when you drinking white claw.. nice work!
Ain’t that the truth 🙌🏼😂 thank you!
I love this, may i ask how is the paint holding up so far?
Thank you! It has held up great, nothing has changed or broken down etc since Day 1 ☺️
I think you could do the sink with that paint too.
Yes I have seen people do it on their sinks as well, absolutely!! Looks especially good with the seamless built-in style sinks😍

Why didn't you paint the sink also?
When finishing do you recommend a seal coat for like a hardener to protect the painting

Can I ask did you do all four coats in the first hour or what was your timing? Getting ready to start mine.
Yay good luck!! I believe I did the first 3 within the hour then one final coat a day or so later
I would of use rustoleum topside marine paint instead...
