This dude has been the drummer of choice when a band need a clinch, 1 take session drummer in metal. He has played on some of the most celebrated albums from bands like At The Gates, Cradled of Filth and Paradise Lost.
I dont like Cradle but his drums on Damnation and a Day MADE THAT album. And his Doom metal 20 beats or less a minute was SUPERB. A lot of drummers cant switch gears that fast and that precise.
Good People, I give you THE MAN!!!
Indiana Jones 1 take session in metal? Huh
@@Skeletal33 well, maybe two. Lol
he and his brother are both very soild drummers with experience in the genre
I always found it interesting. Daniel is the richest and the most free floating and dynamic drummer in death metal, while Adrian is so straight forward, simple and to the point. Great brother drummers! :)
"AAAAAAAAADRIAN!!!" - Rocky Balboa, 1976...
great sound MR Erlandsson...... love this album!!!
*W · O · W!* What a FAST changes...…!! 😲 😲
Crappiest crowd ever. Except from a couple of people. Adrian is a beast.
Excelente sonido y muy buen baterista!!!
3:28 are we boring you with our music, girl?
She's bewitched and spellbound by the masters
I didn't know Morrissey played drums too
Love this song, classic. I mean they are the originals of this sound as well.. they created it basically. Many bands have followed, from as blood runs black to black dahlia murder and darkest hour. And many more.
Not exactly created, but maybe one could say co-wrote? Dark Tranquility had a very similar style and origin, but At The Gates enjoyed more international success for whatever reason (marketing? label support? who knows).
@@TheWitchOvAgnesi Well yes created.. first album out in 92. But I think the sound was created 93 or 94 with Terminal Spirit Disese album.
Who else had this sound back then?
@@user-me7mm7gr1p Uhhhh, as I said, Dark Tranquility did (you know them right?). Maybe they had slightly more of a traditional death feel to them, but their sound was very similar, and they basically came on the scene at the same time. And I actually even tend to prefer their writing and arrangement over ATG. I'm sure they weren't the only ones either, but only those two broke out during the first wave of Gothenburg bands.
@@TheWitchOvAgnesi Yeah I missed that. Did you change your comment or I just didn'ät read that sentence, wierd.
Dark Tranquility don't play the same type of music at all. And just listen to their earlier stuff, not even close.
ATG has a specific sound. But whatever really :9 it's always more bands than one who put their twist on it.I love Black Dahlia murder and as blood runs black as well.
Darkest hour is a fucking bore tho. So are bands like Arch enemy.. man let me fall a sleep a bit when they play.
@@user-me7mm7gr1p No, I didn't change it, you may have just misread it. Admittedly I haven't really listened to either band all that intensively since earlier this decade. I just remember enjoying Dark Tranquility a bit more and thinking their sound was rather similar to that of ATG, and asking a friend why they never had the fanbase that ATG enjoyed in the US. My friend also agrees that their sound is similar - -maybe you're coming from a different place that he and I are with respect to the content.
As for Arch Enemy... pure shit. I find it terribly ironic that Daniel is the drummer in that band too. What a waste of his talent. By all accounts from what I have heard, they're assholes as well. Poser fake anarchists who rival Gene Simmons in their desire to control the image and money flow. Not saying that's bad, but don't pretend to be above money and are only about substance if you're like that. In any case, great talking with you.
So freaking tight!! This album is everything 💥
Chill dude
Funny, but the the Final Suicidal tour they did in 2009 had Amon Amarth opening for them. Now it's ATG opening for Amon Amarth.
SpikeFlea the Sucidal final tour was in 2008 and had Municipal Waste, Darkest hour and Toxic Holocaust. Amon amarth was not part of that tour
@@AdrianErlandsson Darn it... memory fails me again! I could have sworn it was Amon Amarth, but I suspect I saw they shortly before or after. In any case, AA and AE should be opening for YOU!
Again, thank you for everything over these many years sir! Your drumming was the gateway drug for me ultimately getting into black metal, my passion. And you stepping into CoF and delivering it so well at the time was a blessing. Thank you!
Is he related to daniel the drummer of arch enemy???
Ya he’s his older brother
I prefer everything from the first and second album.
Why does he have two triggers on that one bass drum? :) Wouldn't one do the job. I'd like to use a trigger bit I know nothin about them
Probably for backup in case one of them fails during a show.
POWERFUL ADRIAN! ABUSE THOSE SKINS! HAHA
Come to indonesia pliiiissssss
aaa, not sick
