  • I’ve been excited about doing a trip like this for years!
    Finally we found time and got the gear together to go, it was easier and harder then I’d expected all rolled into 1.
    Even though we weren’t successful we enjoyed it and have already planned another few trips.
    Enjoy the video

    Great spot. Been there many times myself. You can't go down there,m, way too many bluffs. you need to go down a spur line. It's an even longer walk in when the gates are closed ! There is a little bit of water in the natural soaks under the rocks on the bluffs.

      I’ll be going back, I did find a few soaks but because it had been so dry there wasn’t any water to be had

    If it was easy everybody would have trophies hanging on the wall just keep at it and the rewards will come good luck.

      If they came easy hunting would become boring. It’s all about the adventure!

      Hey mate I’m Currently using a cheap air mat and “black ice” sleeping bag I got online -15 and they do the job as long as it’s not full winter.
      Cheap stuff will do the job as long as it’s not cold (-3 -6) remember it can get to -12 or worse!!

      It was an amazing trip and I can’t wait to do it again but there’s also Nothing wrong with hurting over the hounds.

    I declare complete ignorance here, so go easy. I work everyday at many properties along the Mt. Buller Rd, Merrijig, Delatite River, Alpine Ridge, Sawmill Settlement. I see deer almost every other day, and often in a herd of several animals. I have often thought about harvesting my own meat, my hunting experience is next to nil. So again, I plead ignorance. My question is, if you have deer on your own private property or have permission from the property owner are you legally allowed to harvest these animals?

      As long as you have a game license and use the correct size firearm you are good to go in daylight hrs.

      I was thinking bow hunting as opposed to rifle.

    • @wheretoonext
      @wheretoonext  7 місяців тому +1

      Bow hunting also requires a game license and a bow with the correct draw weight and arrows
