Oh wow! I’m the first commenter..you just uploaded an hour ago. Cool! Thanks for the great video… looking forward to my first Disney Cruise in October (HOTH).
I'm going in early January. I'm hoping there won't be any flies that time of year. I'm also hoping they have finished all construction by then. Everything else looks great. Can't wait for that beach.
This video paints a nice picture, but does not match the reality of the experience. We would not seek an itinerary with Lighthouse point again. The overall area is huge, and lacks shade, directional markers, maps and amenities. They ran out of towels mid morning. In their pursuit of an “authentic” Bahamian experience, Disney really played it safe with a design that’s more generic and thrown together. They could’ve done a lot more.
I hope flies take over and people do not come here. What a shame to have cruise people mindset destroy this pristine area. You use to have to plan a whole day adventure getting to lighthouse house point, it made you appreciate its unique soft pink sand and vibrant coral. Now we have people showing up complaining about a/c and amenities.

Hope you enjoyed it! Is it going to Lookout Cay?
Seen many videos in preparation for my sailing next month - first time I’ve heard of a coffee shop
Yea. Right after the security entrance. When is you cruise?

@@InMyCruisingEraHow was it?!
I think you mean Bahamian not Bohemian lol great video tho, thanks for the info!
I was hoping I wasn't the only one who noticed.

Does the ocean have a net along the perimeter like castaway?
Yes. When are you going?
No
Have they fixed the fly infestation at the buffet?
Not the last time we checked.
@@Eatsleepcruise1 MattandAlex, other vloger’s just posted and showed that Disney have the flies infestation under control.
When I was there in August, the fly infestation was not a problem.
How to get a cabana?
Be one of the first people to book as the fill up fast. When are you sailing with DCL?
Am going November and think I will stay on ship. Combination of no shade and fly food sounds horrendous

So castaway cay or don't bother with cruise ?

Not a fan of the cut & paste way of the bars, restaurants & shops on this island. Wish there was more uniqueness to the different locations.
We actually like the design of the island and buildings. Very distinct and unique when compared to Castaway Cay.
I was really hoping they were going to step it up with Lighthouse Point. A little disappointed
It is very similar to Castaway Cay, so we agree.
WTF?! 🤬 it’s awful, cheap and unfinished! Castaway Cay or Perfect Day at CocoCay it is not!
It certainly isn’t perfect day. But what is?
